Talented guy. I love the back stories.
Any 12-string compendium must include the greatest 12-string guitarist of them all, Dick Rosmini.
How can "Walk Right In" not be included here?
Whaaaaaat..... Fade to black was actually on a 12 string???? I thought those were just effects
Dude! Why are you so careful in hiding headstock logo on that guitar? 😮
Ernie Isley 🎸💯☝🏿
Very well done Sir🎉🎉🎉🎉
good show ,however there are so many Vernon Reid, Eddie Hazel, Eric Gales, Michael Hampton, Jesse Johnson, Lenny Kravitz, Muddy Waters, Herbert Sumlin, Tony Macalpine, etc etc it's a very long list
Vernon Reid, Nile Roger’s, Marlon McClain, Robert Cray, Eric Gale, Dennis Jones, Michael Hampton, Ernie Isley, etc.
Yes !🎶🎶🎶🎸👍🏻
No 'hit' by any means...but the coolest & trippy-est 12-string guitar song ever recorded is We Took The Wrong Step Years Ago by Hawkwind. For those not familiar, give a listen and see if you don't agree. A close 2nd would be Jimi Hendrix's 12-string acoustic version of Hear My Train a Comin'.
Moody Blues... Question of Balance. Dave Mason...We Just Disagree...
Awesome! Sorry to correct you but bernie left the eagles in 75 not 78
Sorry man you good but Over the hill by zepelin not even sucks but it is bat plagiarism , original song is from 18 century do your research
I have bought my fifth 12-string guitar in my life last week. Electric. I cannot live without twelve strings sound.
who is this guy? and why havent I stumbled om him earlier
"feel a whole lot better " deserves a slot.
How limiting you didn't include anything by 12-string virtuoso Leo Kottke - like Ojo from his 6&12 string album. Or Vaseline machine gun?
Al menos una de The Beatles.... No?
Great video and very cool playin ...
Tangerine,and Met's Mama Said......
That's a really good list. a few of the songs I was not familiar with and I see in the comments a few that I also would agree belong in a top ten or twenty songs.
Excellent guitar playing & track info.
Genesis - Entangled from Trick of the Tale album. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. Including magnificent 12-string sound.
Well I wouldnt have picked any of these.
Emerson Lake and Palmer lucky man among others.
The song that knocked the Beatles off number one in 65, at the height of Beatlemania, featured a 12 string, this group had a number of world wide hits, all featuring 12 string. Can you name the song and the group? Here's a hint, the group featured a female singer lauded as the greatest ever!
Slash
so fun to see videos of clarence white playing the tele that marty stuart owns now.
1. Jimi Hendrix 2. Prince 3. Chuck Berry 4. Slash (half-white) 5. Misha Mansoor 6. Honerable Mention: EVH (1/4 Black)
Parsons was the drummer. It was Clarence White, the guitarist, that wanted a simpler solution. You should do more research before you make a fool of yourself.
Love of my life, Queen live version
Unforgiven 2 is my favourite Metallica song of all time and it was the song that got me into rock and metal music thereafter :). That riff sounded so clean the way you played it dude. Awesome video too!
Most of the songs here have very similar riffs 🤭
Great, Great list. Would add Hotel California, but wouldn't quibble
My first one would be "Ocean" from John Butler :)
He recorded it before his death. Are you sure he didn't record it after? Lol.
I can't believe you left Hotel California off that list.
I agree on number one. Classic.
Nope, ain’t doing it! This is a woke channel! His Portlandish style man bun have it away! 😂😂😂
Take a listen to Still You Turn Me On, by Greg Lake at Cal Jam circa 1974, no better 12-String with simultaneous vocal.
Are you using a Martin D1-12?
Bob Marley :)
I see a Gretsch G5422 -12 string hollow body guitar on the wall.
Without The beatles, hollies or the who, a video with Rickenbacker 12 string guitar, is more or less worthless. Never heard of the strange US bands this guy mention.
Enjoyed the video. Got a chuckle when you mentioned that SRV recorded Life by the Drop "before his death." Certainly would've been an even bigger hit if he'd recorded it afterward.
guiltly missing Supertramp Give a little bit, any acoustic song by Genesis (1971-76 period), like Supper's Ready o Ripples, and Beatles If I needed someone
Guess I'm gonna have to pick up my 12 sting and knock the dust off of it...
Greg Lake I believe in Father Christmas, an under rated song if ever there was one.
@@oldbladderhornI never knew that, I genuinely believed he played a 12 string on that song.
The world I know, Collective Soul
