When this site was discovered and initially researched, the finds were sent to museums all around the world (as was common at the time). However, because the finds were not wholly cataloged, there is no comprehensive list of all finds from Kariandusi. To understand the scope of the assemblage, consider that Cambridge University alone has over 250 handaxes from Kariandusi. Some of the statements made in connection with the discovery in Kenya were astonishing and the true significance of many of the discoveries had not been realised at all. The actual mount Sinai is likely in modern day Saudi Arabia, not the Sinai peninsula. With this in mind there's actually evidence for their journey through the area, with many local places still named after what happened there.

The East African coast was very important in the ancient world. Kiswahili as a bantu language was used for trading purposes. It's mostly assumed that cultural shift is always towards Africa and not from Africa to the world. It might well be that the Arabian world picked Bantu words and not the other way round. Otherwise, if Arabic influence was strong in Swahili, the Arab world should be able to understand Swahili quite well.
