Big Bear is my home mountain. Geronimo is is Super G certified for ski racing, so it's plenty steep for anyone that wants to enjoy it properly. Not steeper than Cornice. The run is better for skiing imo, most of the snowboarders just scrape the snow in the steep sections and expose the ice or just bomb it out of control, I see now and then a good carving snowboarders that make the best of the run but very rarely. All and all most people go there to escape the crowds and just to say that they've dropped down a double black. Some good skiers can be seen there and the occasional good snowboarder. I myself like it when I am on my racing skis, and not fooling around in the park. It's the best the two mountains have to offer. The next best is Exhibition (chair4).

For the record, a groomed run would NEVER be a double black at my home resort. Does not matter how steep it is. In this case it seems at most as steep as a normal blue.

Which blue runs at snow summit would you say are the most beginner-intermediate friendly? I recently did my first blue which was miracle mile, but want to venture out to more without overdoing it haha, which ones would you say I should tackle first?

Yeah man, that guy in blue was reckless, he was coming down, you had the right of way. Anyway, I've done that run hundreds of times over the years, I love Mammoth. Going up every week until mid March, thank God for the Ikon pass !!

Why do these people think you'd want to watch them riding a life? 1/4th of this one is him riding the lift. Boarders seem to love looking at themselves.

Nice Run, Miracle Mile is Great!

Just a tip from another intermediate rider - try to learn to carve rather than doing skidded turns. Initiate with weight on the front foot and let the edge turn you rather than kicking your back leg out.
