In the middle of January, 2025, my wife and I used cheap tickets to fly from Pennsylvania (via Newark, NJ) to Copenhagen, Denmark. When we got to our AirBnB in the center of town, we meant to take a nap before heading out to explore the city (jet lag is real). The weather outside was cold, but the temperature in the apartment was sweltering. We couldn't find the thermostat, so we opened the window to let a bit of cold air in. 30-40 minutes into the nap, I heard some flute music that I, at first, thought was a street performer. 20 seconds or so of flute (fife?) music later, a gigantic noise echoed into our room from outside. It was the changing of the guard in Copenhagen and they were playing The Army of the Nile March in all its glory in the echoing stone streets below us. I don't recall the last time I felt such an awesome and surreal moment. It was a magnificent welcome to Denmark that I won't soon forget.

The recording is of a different arrangement, possibly the original version.
