This channel is mainly just a repository for me to link other sites to my videos, thus content varies and there is no schedule. But if random nature and pet videos please you, then welcome! I used to make art and gaming content but due to technical reasons, I haven't been able to in a long time. Maybe some day I can again!
Crow Puzzle Introduction
Using my dog's puzzle. I've been slowly introducing the crows to cups and other things that they have to move to get the treat underneath. Of course even the blue cones here were never a challenge for them until now, as they simply had to poke or tug on them to make them tip over. Now that I'm setting them inside the puzzle, the crows have to actually lift the cones out. Whisper here went for the easy pieces first before attempting the more challenging part, which he gets visibly frustrated over and even walks away. I know he would have gotten it eventually, but it was my own patience that ran out first so I made it easier for him.

Looked out my window to see the deer in the neighbor's yard. They were finding lots of munchies! Mama was just out of frame, never far and always watching.
More Peanut Time for Briar

Briar finally trying the stabby method of opening peanuts. And of course Whisper has to steal the spotlight too. Still some pox evident on Briar's feet but looking better each day.
Father Crow Preens Fledgling

Sweet moment of Whisper tending to Briar. This was recorded in June, when Briar's pox was only just starting to show. It got a lot worse since and I'm debating if I want to post another video of when it was at its worst. Either way, it's clearing up now and Briar is doing well! Never saw any other birds with it so that's a relief too.

Update: I won't be posting more trail cam vids unless there's something particularly interesting. They've become redundant to me, take up a lot of space, and people don't seem to like them anyway. Missed a lot between these two months due to the camera not recording, so I combined them both. The same doe you see here, identifiable by her dark nose ridge and a notch in her left ear, has successf...
Pine has Some Words

I don't know what, but Pine has something to say! Before stuffing their face with egg, of course. The crows are doing fine, by the way. I just haven't been spending much time outside lately, between health, heat, and bugs.
Briar Vs Peanuts

Briar learning how to get to the goods inside. More music because the original audio was just a steady roar of cicadas. As you can see here, Briar unfortunately has avian pox. It breaks my heart and has me worried for all of them. But so far, Briar is thriving despite it and the others show no signs of developing it. Hoping they'll all get through this okay. I'm doing what I can to try to keep ...

First is Pine in the foreground with Lyric in back, then little Briar, and Whisper last. It's so hot here right now that they spend most of their time from late morning to early evening just hanging out in the trees, preening and not doing much else except to take dips in the pool.
Playing Squirrel

I had no idea squirrels played like this. This one was having a good ol' time! Before recording, it was even kicking the sticks with its back feet just like a cat.

Babbling Briar

Baby finding its voice! Making lots of adorable noises. Only a few people voted on a name and it ended up being a 4-way tie, ha ha. I made family be my tie-breaker and they chose Briar. I don't know how likely this is, but with it learning its vocal capabilities right now, maybe I can teach it to speak its name!

Curious bear, hungry fledgling, and sunbathing birds. May was a big month!
What a charming video! I have used Trixie toys with my local crows, and they mastered them. Unfortunately, raccoons broke them, because I was lazy enough to leave them out overnight. I’m looking for something more resilient. Anyway, thank you for sharing. Subbed and belled. 😺
interesting. love to do something like this but being on the beach and having dogs run around all the time will probably just get dogs coming up!

AMAZING footage! And thank you for doing it. They are so intelligent it's scary. Instant upvote <3
Of course! I know they like the mental stimulation and I enjoy watching, so it's a win-win. Thanks!

HELLO MR BRIAR YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL
Could be in our garden!❤❤❤
🦌🦌💙💙💙
beautiful creature
"I'm here everyone!" moment X3
So cute! 🥰
how you know they're happy
Just a guess based on the tone and context of their caws, plus the hurried hops.
It’s an animal with a easy free meal, of course it’s happy.
Very chatty!
Lovely video! It's so nice to see her preening her child! Good to read that Briar is doing well!
Thank you! Yes, I am so happy as well!
We love Briar 😍
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Beautiful crows. Very intelligent.❤
Peanuts are the best! He will learn to open them quicker soon! I've got no experience about avian pox (I'm actually not sure because one had a strange "spot" at the beak but nothing else and I don't see it anymore). Is it very dangerous among crows?
I have no experience either, as this is the first bird I've ever seen with it, myself. According to online sources, it has 2 forms. This "dry" form is considered less lethal. I guess most birds eventually recover as long as the scabs don't become infected or impair their vision or ability to move around. My guess is it's no more dangerous for crows than it is for other birds, just that it has a greater chance of spreading among them due to their social nature. I know it can get worse than this though and still may. But with Briar still faring okay at this point and the rest possibly already having resistance, I am cautiously optimistic about their survival.
Cute, I like squirrels. Let's play together in his private world! Hehehe
Very cute! I've never seen them play like that!
LOL, i love when they play around like this. Great video!
Thank you!

My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE birds of ALL !!!! Always a pleasure to see, hear, feed, and watch crows. I love all interactions with them. They are quite ingenious, sweet, wise, and beautiful birds. I LOVE CROWS !!! Thanks for posting this lovely video. ❤️❤️🐦⬛🐦⬛🥰🥰🐦⬛🐦⬛
The sentiment is mutual! Glad you enjoyed.
I fount a crow that wasnt able to fly anymore. Called animal rescue that catched him, the crow looked at me very angry while put in the van. Month later, a crow comes flying towards me and lands 3 feet from me. Minute later another landed (his young one) to say thanx. This was a great moment.
@@rondegroot1508 How sweet! And very interesting. Do you think it was the same crow?
@@DragaFlammis Crows normally dont come flying to you to land a few feet from you. It looked at me so its got to be the crow i helped.
Mereka tahu niat kita. Mereka juga memberitahu saya apabila orang yang mereka tidak kenali sedang menghampiri.
Great footage! It`s a very cute baby!
Will they remember where they stashed their peanuts 🤔
They do, actually! They have incredible memory and can recall hundreds of cache locations after a year or longer. Of course, whether the food is still there is a different matter. Squirrels and other animals will often raid them.
How cute! I hope the leg will get better! I`m still waiting to really see fledgelings here. I hear some and I could see them for a few seconds on the branches but not on the ground. And then there`s a big fledgeling that looked like it was ready to fly but I haven`t seen him anymore. I hope he just hides pretty well and he`s ok.
It seems to be improving! Has barely a limp now. Aw, hope you get to see more of them besides just glimpses in the trees. They are so fun to watch.
this is good footage!! hardly even shaky. i would beak out if i was surrounded by horse flies. fledgling behavior is always entertaining ! hope this one's leg recovers.
Glad it's not too bad then!
I want to give the fledgling a name and have pulled some I like from my list. I'm torn between these few though, so I'm taking a vote from here and Pillowfort. Which is your favorite? Briar Sky Cedar Rain
cedar!!
Nice footage of the crow in the end! 🙂 (I wrote the first comment while watching)
Beautiful video! I really like blue jays! We don`t have them here - just "normal" jays. I like them too but they`re really shy. Cute squirrels and rabbit! That rabbit wasn`t afraid at all! I`ve only seen wild rabbits once in my life and that was looking out of a train window.
Thank you! Curious, what jays are you calling your normal ones? The blue jays here are quite bold and, like the crows, will follow when they see me. But the crows don't like sharing so the jays have to be quick, thus I don't get as much time with them. And the rabbit has gotten so used to seeing me around the yard that it no longer deems me much of a threat, apparently.
@@DragaFlammis Sorry for calling them "the normal ones". It`s just I`m not used to blue jays here at all (but I find them very pretty). The ones that we have here are also called Eurasian Jay. If you google you will see they have quite different colours And they are very shy. I rarely get to see any (but I hear them in the forest). But twice a jay was brave enough to steal a peanut from the crows.
@@corvusaeternus No worries, I thought you may have been talking about them but wanted to be sure. I think the Eurasian Jays are pretty in their own way, though. Maybe just because they're different. But they make the sweetest noises!

Hehehe, hiding it underground and putting that one piece of vegetation on top ^^
great channel 😁
Thank you!
Beautiful footage of a variety of birds. 1:53 Is this some kind of ceremony? Very interesting behaviour!
Thank you! It's a display of competition between male grackles for mating rights and possibly territory as well. They're basically all trying to establish dominance by intimidation or looking pretty. Looks goofy to me but I'm sure it's serious business to them!
@@DragaFlammis Thank you very much for the explanation! It looked very interesting to me but I don`t know much about grackles. We don`t have them here.
@@corvusaeternus No problem!
❤ wonderful, beautiful creatures!!
Those are not happy caws; it's maniacal devious laughter from the masterplan of hiding the peanuts under leaves so that nobody else can find them 😈
Since you pointed that out, they really do sound more like maniacal laughter! Makes it even funnier when I hear them now, ha ha.
@@DragaFlammis 😁🐦⬛
your camera work is great for no tripod!! keeping up with these crows is difficult
They really are, so I'm happy to hear that, ha. Thank you!
Such A Smart, Crafty, and Cunning Bird! 😂❤
they do love them eggs
They most certainly do!
AWEsome video! 👍
Thanks!
My sister and I always got a chuckle on how many peanuts the crows, Steller's jays and scrub jays could fit in their beaks and crops. I think the record was five unshelled peanuts!
Wow! Those crows were either bigger or more talented. Most I've ever seen mine fit at once was 4 but it's usually 3, and even then sometimes they drop them and have to come back.
Yes the crow I feed fits 4 monkey nuts 😂
Very excited crow!
Indeed! I thought your channel name sounded familiar. I've seen some of your videos. Amazing footage of your lovely crow friends!
