How to Fix Converse Chuck 70s | (un)intentional ASMR
Floppy tongue flubbing your foot feels? Let's figure out how to fix a loose and sliding shoe tongue!
After skating multiple pairs of CONS, I picked up these Chuck 70s on a deal, and anticipated that swapping out the insoles would make them decent skate shoes. The board feel was good, but the unsupported tongue was sliding to the side with any level of activity, forcing me to constantly readjust the shoes during a skate sesh.
I had enough and pulled out some tin snips to rectify the situation. Pay attention to your shoe's materials, and attempt at your own discretion - but this technique should fix a wide variety of shoes with loose tongues.

Simple modification but it does the trick! Tho think about sewing the sides to avoid the fabric unraveling
Good idea! I considered using fabric glue on the sides of the cuts to seal everything up - and I will if it starts to fray. But so far it's holding up nicely!
