My bad memory for faces&names really helped me out here; for me it was clear from the first skip in time of her biography that the women were one and the same. The very unresolved ending however did startle me. It made me think immediately 'oh there's a sequel to this film isn't it?'. I mean her mother left her and finally she left her daughter as well, in all parts we see that she really wants to master her own fate in whatever crazy way.
