Cameraman overtakes the GSXR1000 and latterly, the K1300S, on a long right hand bend, with poor vision beyond the truck and no prospect of improvement. He is obliged to return to safety on his side of the road behind the Speed Triple, who leads. When the 'No Overtaking' restriction ends, the K1300S and the GSXR1000, who have sat watching nearside, make spirited progress earlier than the two lea...

16:50 Playschool/ The Bill crossover
Thanks for this upload
@@bossrat thats a short Episode because where is the story scene when they had the clock in it
29/06/1984
This would have been when the series had transferred to BBC1 of course after BBC2 had started Daytime on Two in September 1983 at the time then too.
Jeez i was only 7.5 months old
Great find / upload. It seems a very “ flat “ episode of Play School despite the two seasoned presenters. Think the programme was still trying to find its feet after the 1983 revamp. Already on version two of the updated “ windows “ I see.
At least we have an edition with Brian Cant out of all people, still his quirky but fun uncle-like self. Don't really know much about Elizabeth Milbank, I think she came in once my dad and my uncles stopped watching it. But aye, doesn't feel the same without the toys (except Hamble, nobody cares about Hamble) or the proper windows.
Elizabeth presented from December 1979 - 1985. IMO she’s one of the more underrated presenters. Always warm and friendly.
@@andreww6769 Ah, okay. So one of the classic era presenters. That's nice. But it's the same with presenters like Ben Bazell, Sheelagh Gilby or Andrew Secombe. My youngest uncle stopped watching in 1978, so any presenters beyond that don't create that many memories. She did look fun, though.
This particular episode is from 29 June 1984.
@@andreww6769 Ah okay. Brian wouldn't be staying for too long at this point, unfortunately. I think his last appearance was in 85.
Gosh, an edition with Brian! That's fantastic, such a legend! Do you have any more Play School editions, maybe some from the classic era before 83?
@@bossrat Ach, that's a shame. Nonetheless, it is something. Brian Cant was, again, a children's television legend. You wouldn't get another person like him on TV nowadays, unfortunately. Presenters nowadays all bounce off the walls and act like kids on a sugar rush. Brian, and Elizabeth Millbank both talked normally to children, talking to them without seeming too hyper or condescending.
@@bossrat Oh definitely. Ever seen Mr Tumble, for example, gosh, that's uncomfortable, watching a fully grown man acting like a 5 year old child.
@@bossrat Will do. I take it you went and saw a clip of him.
@@bossrat The funny thing is that the guy, Justin Fletcher, is actually a decent guy in real life. He does some kids TV presenting as himself, and he's actually not that bad. But Mr Tumble is just creepy, same with the other examples of grown men and women acting like children to entertain children. Don't really know what happened to such presenting styles like Brian Cant's or Floella Benjamin's, since most children's television needs more people like them.
