    Thanks for creating this video... I have a question. If you adjust to track the suspension/shocks in the front and back. The P2 will drop to the ground with a few centimetres? I meant it would lower?

    Note that you also toggle the automatic high beam on or off by turning the ring on the left stalk to the top position. It's indicated in the driver display as well. Great review! The UX design was one if the reasons we chose the P2. On the top of my wish list would be the ability to show both the rear camera and a smaller 360 view at the same time. The 360 is useful, but the camera shows greater distance.

    This was a very informative video indeed! Thank you. I just took my first test-drive this week, AWD non-pp, really liked it. I currently own a Model S 75D, and the feel of the road felt quite similar between the two. The Polestar center here in Oslo never has the PP available for test, a bit anoying. Not sure If I’ll get a chance to try it. But my main concern is if the ride is comfortable for my passangers (2 children,1 adult). The standard pack felt quite good, but would the PP make it more or less so?

    • @designdriven3340
      @designdriven3340 2 года назад

      I have a young child and he loves the ride. It took me some test drives with each to realise this, but in my opinion the suspension is more refined on the PP when it comes to road “textures”, but a bit more blunt if you hit potholes. You can adjust it, as I discuss, and putting it in the softest setting in the Winter makes it perfect for me. The handling is superior, for sure. But it could be that you find it different when you try it yourself. It’s really a matter of taste and what you’re used to. Hope you get to try it!

    Since Polestar (and Volvo) are Chinese cars, should I be concerned about my privacy when it comes to their electric cars? So can the Chinese government listen in and/or watch and analyze the data dump from the car?

    • @designdriven3340
      @designdriven3340 2 года назад

      I suggest you ask Polestar directly about that. My take is that the fact that Geely has a majority ownership of the Volvo group does not make the cars "Chinese". All the know-how (design and engineering) comes from Sweden. Any software and privacy requirements needs to be compliant to the country they operate in. The main focus of the video is on Google Android. So in this case, if privacy is (a legitimate) concern, I think it's Google you need to worry about. They're the ones who've been found in breach of European privacy laws and fined for it.

    I would have considered the PP, but the fact that it comes with summer tires was a deal breaker. I need all season tires for snow, etc. I’m not looking to keep 2 sets of tires/wheels for different seasons. Since there wasn’t any other noticeable ‘performance’ upgrade, I decided to spend the $$ on the Pilot and Plus packages.

    Thanks for the reviews, thumbs up for that. But dont really agree with the cons. Yeah, the sound could be a little bit better, but its not bad at all. Cant say Ive experienced excessive body roll, or any really, understeering no, and radar, yes there is a slight delay, but systems is no worse than any other car. I think autodriving is very good, Im pretty happy with it. Think its better than most of todays candidates in ev. If one can live with its shortcomings like not very quick charging, no tow hook, its one hell of an impressive car. New OTA will come soon, which have promised to adress delay in radar+will features a lot of New stuff/improvements

      Hi!- it's always great to get a different opinion here, and since you're an owner, it carries its weight, of course :). Based on just one hour with the car, I do stand by my assessment, which is relative to other cars. At the end of the day it all depends what you're used to. None of the Cons I presented should be deal-breakers for most people. And based on that short experience, I'd say you've made a really good choice. Good luck with the car and thanks for watching!

      @@designdriven3340 Yes, different opinions is always welcomed. I got to borrow it 2 times, each session I had it for 3 hours:) I thought about it for some time, due to certain practical lacks with the car, but decided I never really packed my car much and never wants to drive towing something:) I fell in love with the car, after a testing of more than 16 electric cars:) All have plus and minuses, so in the end it goes a little bit towards the feelings you get in a car. Tried the valet parking here the other day, which is really impressive. Scans the parking halls with the push of a button and it drives itself..very impressive. I liked how you seemed very neutral, and not biased either against nor for it, so thanks again and thanks for answering me:) Take care

      Good point! 3 reasons: 1 - Location of the ultra-fast chargers along the route (Sweden is, I'm afraid, not at the same level as Norway in this) 2 - Needing a higher SoC at arrival, so I could just turn around (return trip needed to be straight after) 3 - Lack of experience: in the face of uncertainty, I preferred to follow the Google Maps advice ;)
