Many of us do from South Asian community as the taste similarity is to the Ruhi fish of those areas. So, each has there own unique method of cleaning. But, water condition and early / later part of summer season do add smell to the slime of the body. While cleaning, if the cross contamination can be avoided, it helps. IF I take for consumption, I neutralize it with vinegar & water mix. 😃
