great card man. Just a tip tho, you should place it in the slot thats higher up to not lose any performance. Could be different for different motherboards, but the general consensus is to always put it on the top PCIE slot since it has more lanes. Great video!
Yeah bottom two are PCIe Gen 4 there have been reports with the drivers that Gen 5 makes some games crash I tried both and find the Gen 4 is working better wierdly enough hopefully drivers fix the issue (I could of also changed it in Bios)

Even with a tune, it's not going to be the same driving dynamics as a M240i, and definitely not the same as an M2. Power isn't the only thing that is different between these models. Driving dynamics are vastly different as well. A 230i, no matter how well tuned, isn't going to provide the same driving dynamic and level of engagement of higher level models like the M2. Chassis dynamics are a real thing.
I saved 10k getting a 2018 manual 230 instead of 240 , I couldn't justify 5k per cylinder

I totally agree with your points and its the reason injust grabbed a 2022 g42 230i. Same as yours butnthe redish color. The interior is amazing....plenty of power for the streets. I would.like to uograde the suspension though ...ita a bit too soft. But its a killer platform to mod.

Although I just bought at 2018 230i and not a 2024, you are right. It is way faster than I thought it would be, and for about $1000 (down pipe and tune) I can get another 50-70hp too if I want. So, instead of paying 10k more for a 240 of the same year, I can pay 1k and have a car that makes the same power, but it also 200 pounds lighter. So I have lighter, faster, and cheaper car. 230s are great deals, new or used.

@@SiggyB46 Like 4k in taxes. I have a 2023 that I purchased in Nov of 2022. I negotiated and locked in the OTD price and then paid cash for the car. They threw in extra years of warranty free because I was hesitant on purchasing the car.

depends, im planning on selling in the upcoming few years so im going stage 1 but if your keeping it atleast 4-5 go for a stage 2

Funny I bought a 230i almost for the exact same reason. Car is okay in stock form, I was already smoking RTs, and WRXs. Throw one a JB4 and running dead even with GR Corolla, a car with more hp and less weight. The b48 has so much overhead potential that it is perfectly fine as long as you aren’t trying to set fast quarter mile times. For a daily a lightly modified 230i is an amazing daily. So far I’ve done lowering springs, JB4, intake and exhaust and my car is more than enough for public roads. I’ve won a few autocross trophies so the handling is amazing as well. I’m glad I spent a little extra and decided to not buy a GR86. I think if someone is considering an Elantra N, 2.0 Supra, Civic Type R, or even a Mustang then they need to look at a 230i
@@postalpancho I just ordered 2023 White with cognac interior, 230i X drive coupe. It has 3k mikes and priced at $36k. From CarMax one owner. No M Sport options and only Premium and Convenience options. Want to use as my daily. Thinking of trading my new Camry Hybrid. I think maybe more fun as a daily than Camry (better MPG and smooth ride?). Not sure about it, but will do a test drive for the transfer fee, worth checking out. The 2025 Camry is good as a daily but the BMW is priced the same at $36k and is a $48k car new. So it’s a good deal with my trade and added $10k.

I got bought the 230i. For people that have not noticed, this car is the old 3 series with a few upgrades. Still way to heavy and ride I feel is to hard!

@@ericxls93 You need to get rid of the run flat tires they’re horrible. I replaced mine with pilot sport 4 non-runflats and the ride quality and grip are WAY better. You don’t get any of those sharp uncomfortable bumps anymore the roads are just smoother.

The higher stage tune you go, the less reliable ur making the car. I have a m235i and since i got it in 2015 ive put mhd stage 1 tune with netal charge pipe and thats it, its plenty fast like that and 59k miles so far on it and no problems. No point going higher, ita already very fast.
