Sky.VS.Stang. The age old rivalry between import and domestic is alive in our channel. Ryan's 1998 Nissan Skyline GTT and Matt's 2016 Ford Mustang GT will go head to head in many different ways. Part 2 of paint prep is here. We finally get the side skirts and rear bumper molded into the eclipse with some DEEEEEE-EECENT bondo and fiberglass work. The engine bay also gets its own dress up and a color choice is revealed. All that remains is installation of the front bumper and a full spray after the motor is dropped in. Can't wait right?! The 95 Eclipse begins its physical makeover. After finally receiving the VIS Battle Z kit (a couple months after reported ship date), we get started on body prep. Have you noticed a difference from running the fans backwards? If you really think about it, that would make the most sense for every car.
@Sean-n9s never had any cooling issues so I'm thinking they worked just fine.

You can't mix dot 5 with 3 or 4 as it's silicone based. You would beed to use dor 5.1 unless you are completely reaplacing all the hard lines

I was wondering if you ended up still using this brake kit, and if you swapped the rears as well? I have a Brembo GT Brake kit on the front on my RX8, much smaller than the Ceika kit you got, but the rears I'm still rocking the factory calipers and wanted to maybe upgrade to the ceika rear, cause I have a feeling my rears are gonna seize one of these days.
We only ended up swapping the front brakes on the RX8. They work awesome. Great stopping power and dissipate heat really well.The rears were replaced with slotted rotors and new pads.
Was that 2100 us for all 4 corners or just the front?

The only mishimoto electric fan I found for the r34 has a single 14’ fan. It’s made specifically for the r33 and r34. How did you find a dual fan setup

@@TheCityofGod Because ultimately it's more cooling than the single fan. Doesn't matter what car it's for. I've never had cooling issues with that dual fan.
@@skyvsstang2261 does it mount on directly onto the r34 with the kit provided? I know you can use it for whatever car, but I thought the r33/34 single fan one would be the most robust and cool the 33/34 better than the dual r32 one. I also heard a lot of people say they get overheating problems with the electric fans, and it’s worse than the viscous clutch fan. How much power is your rb running?
@@TheCityofGod 800hp. Haven't had a single cooling issue. I welded a couple thread anchors to the cross member to bolt on the fan but its running an aftermarket rad so it wouldn't have bolted straight up anyways.

They've definitely got some weight to them. Not the lightest option on the market. Great brakes tho.

No issues. They work really well. Good feel. Don't overheat. Definitely a good choice as far as race application.

Ya the supra kit went together really well. A little filling on the side skirts but minor issues.

Worst case scenario. The two hot pistons were failing due to the compression being too high on a boosted setup. Motor was torn out and new rotating assembly and valvetrain went back in. The new dyno numbers and engine upgrades will be covered soon.

Did the mustang ever find out what was making the false knock and if so what was doing it ???
Turns out it was two pistons on the way to detonation. It was the wrong boost psi on an 11:1 compression ratio. Learned the hard way on that one. The mustang is now running a 9:1 ratio safely on some decent boost with some new pistons.

Be careful tightening the vc back on. They're prone to cracking if you overtighten the inside bolts. Just use a nut driver.
Some say the coyote badge was played out when it came out lol. If anything is played out it's the FN gt 500 front bumper.

Yea man I don't need it I got two gst's a 1g nd a 2g like yours. 2g was a full rebuild whole motor built on a stand all torqued to spec and slapped back together. HKS 272s, 20g rebuilt turbo, whole new exhaust, nice little street build goal was 400 conservatively. My 1g i paid 2k for came built.. wiseco pistons, H beam rods ARP rod bolts, ARP head studs, Felpro head gasket, Stock crank, head was ported and polished, crower 272s, crower BC0100 springs with BC steel retainers, obviously 3 angle valve job, GSC zero tick lifters, ported/coated FP exhaust manifold running a evo3 16g rebuilt to a 20g, precision 1000cc injectors, magnus rail, fuel lab FPR, 340lph pump, fuel pump rewired, JDM cyclone intake manifold with butterfly delete, 300m Coil on Plug kit, 3.5 gm maf with translator, full 3" vibrant straight exhaust with matching 3" ICP huge FMIC, EGR deleted, balance shaft deleted, ac deleted, gates timing belt, adjustable cam gears, ecmlink all tuned by myself running optimal at 20psi so far car makes 437hp on 93 pump gas. But getting professional tuned to squeeze every bit of it I can safely for a fun reliable street car. It's also an auto with kiggly flexplate. Car is immaculate for a 92 has all original interior even spare tire and tool kit. I got super lucky man hit me up on Facebook
@@jaysfishandwhips1328 I was gonna go with the Crower 272's, beehive springs, valves, adjustable cam gears, new lifters, CP pistons, H beam rods, new crank pulley, ARP bolts everywhere I can get them, Manley crankshaft, new water pump/oil pump. The fuel I'm still designing. Likely FIC rails and injectors. 850-1000cc on 340lph pump. Lots to look forward to. I couldn't find you on Facebook....
W.e your goal is say 450-500hp think more. Invest for more prepare for more so first thing you need to do is invest in ecmlink so you can adjust for the injectors you'll get. If your planning on keeping a street car I seriously suggest going gm maf setup don't do speed density as it is very not good for street daily drivers. A 3 1/2 GM maf are so easy to find at a salvage yard in good condition. That turbos oil seals are bad that's why it was leaking into the intake pipe
Why is SD bad for street/daily? You can adjust more cells than maf and sure it's harder to tune but I don't see why you'd say that. I've tuned both MAF & SD. Oil in the turbo doesn't necessarily mean blow turbo seals. It could be pulling them from the valve cover which mean it probably has blow by
welcome to the DSM world, but that's the o2 sensor underneath we have two of them, and windshield wiper sprayer above back windshield, but the car is sexy as is STAY AWAY from the rice world which is FF style, an never knock a 4g63t one of best engines designed we got a 1800hp beast roaming the drag strip smashes most v8's
I believe that. I’m an anti-rice build kinda guy. I just wanted to grab up the same style front bumper as FF. I’m looking forward to this build. I had a 3000gt I did a ton of work to and I absolutely loved that car. I’ll do my best with the 4g63t. I’ll be doing some research on the stock piston capacities. Don’t want to put a new window in the block.
