Itiwit X100 canal lock portage using Kayak Trolley
A quick visual showing how easy it is to portage canal locks with a kayak trolley. Saves unloading bags and gear and trolley fits easy in the Kayak. Wheels do come off for more compact storage.
I have managed to negotiate steps at locks with a bit of care.
Plenty of trollies on the market to choose from .

Not many videos showing how to stow so did one to give a bit back to RUclips. Did it as it was with no editing so you are seeing it not rushed with "warts n all". Done properly it leaves lots of room in the bag for other kit and prolongs the life of the Kayak
Thx
This is one of the most helpful video I've ever seen. Thank you.
Very helpful video. Thank you very much!
Had another go...Still can't get those ends in like you do
@@barbaramiller7008 assuming you have deflated fully don’t be scared to flatten ends by standing on them. The whole craft is tougher than you think.
Well I tried 3 times. No way can I get it that small. Maybe you have to have stronger arms or something.
wow I didn't think it was actually possible to get it all back in. Thank you. Will go and repack mine!
@9:48 is a very important piece of information! Watch the skag plates. They may break. Well done video! Thanks!
Thank you Sir
I thought it was a mistake in the manual when I saw the pump inside the bag. I immediately repacked mine following after watching this video. Thank you!
do you think i can pump the air out with a electric pump?
Yes, I have an electric pump now. It has a second port for the hose to attach to marked deflate. You will hear the tone of the motor change when fully deflated.
How are you liking this Kayak so far? I have been looking at tons of videos on inflatable Kayaks. Everything points to the Itiwit X100 1-2 person. At least for my budget limit. You answered the burning question that you can also use the pump for a complete deflate. I was wondering if the air had to be pressed out... Thanks!
Thanks for the point about the gauge on the deflate…
Thanks for your time used to make this video. I just bought the same kayak and I was practicing at home to inflate and deflate. I'm doing alright but when I try to fold it those two nose pieces are my problem. I noticed you kind of flatten them them out. I guess that doesn't damage them. I'm going back to try that. Again thanks for your efforts. It was a big help.
Try finding a pump that is dual action, these will pump up or suck all the air out completely when the pipe is attached to the other outlet.
I searched for this not expecting you to have the exact same kayak and your video was excellent just what I wanted to see. Thank you 🛶
Is this same to use inflate?
If you mean about the pressure gauge? no, you put the gauge on to inflate.
Can anyone guide from where i can buy this pump?
The pump is available from Decathlon. www.decathlon.co.uk/p/dual-action-low-pressure-1-8-psi-hand-pump-for-kayaks-2-x-2-6-l-orange/_/R-p-172713?mc=8387583&c=ORANGE
Where did you get your kayak trolley from ? looks great.
Amazon Lomo kayak trolley model C Sorry not sure how to put a link on!!
pure art, well done and a joy to watch. 👏👏👏
Very helpful tutorial on how to keep the boat! Awesome!
Merci pour cette vidéo qui me permet replier mon kayak correctement et proprement! 😊
Good video, thank you!
Good video, showing the obvious to those who have never used an inflatable kayak before or who are too impatient or reckless. If you use the same towel for the entire boat, clean the inside of the boat first; clean it completely while the boat is still fully inflated (it's just easier that way).
Good day, I owned three inflatable kayaks in the past. Your video is excellent in showing people what actually happens once the trip is over and you have to store the kayak. Keep up the good work. Peter
Is it enaught to dry the kayak by towel to store it properly?
You have to make that call yourself depending on the ambient temperature and how much time you’ve got. Towel dry is good if your not packing it up for a long time before you use it again but I’d recommend air dry fully if putting into long term storage.
@@jimbland4560 thanks
Thanks a lot. I use the more simple and pedestrian Itiwit Touring 2, but it seems that the procedure is very much comparable. Which is to say that it is quite easy. Anyway, folks: It is not difficult!! Have fun!
Wow, ich kämpfe immer damit und trage die Pumpe seperat... danke!
Looks like a nice place to paddle!
Chesterfield Canal. Many stretches to cover over its 46 mile length.
wow, you folded it really well, you put the pump in it too, amazing. in the next issue I will use your method. thanks a lot for the video
Thanks for comment. Glad it helped
Thank you, best demonstration on how to do it properly I've seen yet..now I know how to get it back in the bag properly.👍
Glad it helped. Thank you for comment
indeed, I kept the pressure gauge on when using the “Deflate” end, and now I know why I can’t deflate at all
Me too.
Nice and neat ! Is that the 2 seater itiwit ?
Yes it’s the 2 seater. If you strap the other seat on it doesn’t take up much more room in the bag at all.
>Thank you, this was very informative and helpful.
