    Good morning from San Francisco I was fortunate to listen in on No Carb Life to your interviews. Your transformation (or restoration!) via proper nutrition and clear thinking about golf was gratifying to hear. Do I say that to compliment you? No, but of course, you deserve a complimant, no doubt. Rather, my own drive to comprehend and UNDERSTAND 'free' movement led me froma cozy world of computer, official science and idiotic modern art into the lovely, pathless, wilderness of truth. Did I say pathless/ That is not only inaccurate but even prideful! Instead one learns after the initial meanderings that EVERY movement IN truth leads to all truth. Nothing is worth casting out, and everything is worth noticing and contemplating! I would love to chat with you. My 'carnivore' successes mirrors nearly all of Dave's interviewees. I did not lose a million tons or grow a nose, but I did reduce unnecessary weight, eliminate the horribly destructive visceral fat, and regain my flexibility and strenght, dialing the clock back a good 40 years. More to go, I say, much more. RE:Golf. I am SO HAPPY to hear your take on the state of things regarding 'instruction.' Since I ported my talents from training basic movements in basketball, (throwing) a football, runnin/walkng/springing NATURALLY, and a half-dozen other movements necessary for a rational performance expectation, I was scandalized then indignant then disgusted for what passed for 'instruction,' training, and 'golf swing' garbage spewed from both 'experts' and ghost-written pieces signed off by top professionals. I am please to report that I have discarded at least a dozen or more 'ideas' about golf performance, outside of actually being on course! I am more pleased to report that - between mean/egg/butter/pork/fish and lamb and my own approach to the wonder of the human body - that I have a solid foundation in hand which opend out understanding of movement. This I can express better in realistic drawing I have compiled showing the difficult-to-see parts of movement which are masked by the sheer effiiency of the glorious body! So, if possible I would love to remain in contact with you and I hope this little (long) note will interest you in wishing to contact me. I go by Jacques, but the reason for Jacques and not James (Jacques is James in French) has to do with how I signed portrait painting during my years of study in Paris. I really am intrigued that you have such a polite manner but contrasted with a strong and unyielding message about golf learning? Is that the right word? Anyway, please consider adding me to your list and if you wish to contact me, I am willing to leave my email and phone here but I believe YewTOOB disallows that. Perhaps you can leave a comment or even add your contact info on the description provided by RUclips on your opening page. Cheers and hittum good....

      @@JJ_Khailha I'm sorry about that Jean. I try hard, and I'm not good at it, but the message is the best out there. You've heard of root cause medicine, well this is root cause golf. It's never been done before, but it's the only effective way to work. I've been a pro all my life, and gave up mainstream thinking a long time ago. I got so fed up with my own game, and got fed up with watching golfers either get worse, or simply go round in circles. They almost never improved, and certainly never at any speed. You'll see that in an upcoming video called 'My crazy, authentic self.' For any person who's working more at the root cause of things, there has to be some trial and error - and there's always going to be opportunities to improve further. I was practicing down the range today and found myself moving before I hit the ball. It felt like a bit of a mini Happy Gilmore swing. And the detail would be - and I'm recreating it here in my living room - that after addressing the ball with the club head just behind it, as I started my backswing, my left foot moved forwards simultaneously; not a planned position, it just happened. And it loosened up my swing and I hit the ball better than I have ever before. It was becoming like the athletic 'set up' you would adopt if the ball was moving. My stance for the swing, seemed to be a moving variation of my static stance, which is with my left foot slightly forwards of my right one. All very interesting; I'll be playing about with this one!

    My practice was really starting to pay off about 18 months ago, I had built confidence in my swing and was beginning to understand how to get the ball to do what I wanted it to do. Then I listened to someone online (a well known pga champion) who advised me to buy a grip trainer or I would never get beyond an average player, my grip was strong at the time. I kept practicing until I was comfortable with the new grip but my swing has suffered badly. You have given me confidence to go back to my natural grip and hopefully in the not too distant future better results Thanks Rich 🙏🏻

    Rich… the intention part is unreal. How can a misaligned club head go the right direction? I used this with my 26 year old son last night. He could hit the ball in any direction I asked him to without changing his stance and swing. His intention just changed. He was a baseball pitcher so can control a thrown ball. Crazy to see him do the same with the golf ball.

    I couldn't disagree with any of that Richard - one of your best videos. I chuckled when you mentioned about feeling younger again, such a good feeling to embrace. A few weeks ago a lady member at our club was lamenting on having such a hard time ball striking - the typical freeze over the golf ball. I said to her "what would you do if you were 6 years old"? 'What do you mean" she said. Well, if you were indeed 6 years old and I gave you a few balls and a club you would just take a swipe at it, without thinking about it, without fearing the outcome of the shot or worrying about where it goes or who was watching or whatever. Hopefully she took that thought to the course the following week!

    I agree. Most golf instruction is a scam. We are all different, yet we are told about one way to do it. They measure angles but have no real idea what is best for a particular golfer. We are not Gumby, able to move each part with distinct motion, at 90+ mph. Some instructors do teach well.

    • @TheCarnivoreGolfer
      @TheCarnivoreGolfer 5 месяцев назад

      Thanks for your comment sir. As you say, there are good and bad instructors. Some very good, and some very bad. Obviously I can't be sure, but my experience tells me that despite there being some very good ones, there's another level that we could aspire to. The system and our present understanding won't really allow it to happen yet, but maybe in time it could. I'm attempting it here on this channel, and on the private Facebook group. And while it may not be ideal, it's a start at least. And for anyone that looks into it enough, asks the right questions, and fully embraces things, there's at least a chance of seeing what could potentially be done. Rich

      @@TheCarnivoreGolferThanks, Rich, for this very logical discussion of the golf process. I’ve tried to instruct my wife on certain aspects of the game, and her eyes immediately glaze over and she just won’t tolerate any instruction. I think she would agree with the concept that, “I’ll do it my own way, thank you”! It’s so frustrating to me that she won’t hear anything about ball position, body sway, low point of the swing ….. and she makes the same mistakes over and over. But, at least she wants to come play with me, and for that, I’m grateful. I discovered you on a Carnivore channel, and was immediately sold on your logical way of thinking. “Freedom”! Something Rocky said all the time. Keep bringing us these golf nuggets …. I love them!

As this relates to our health journeys, being able to take responsibility for our own health decisions, regardless of the establishment, can make a huge difference going forward. Rich, yesterday, I hit a bucket so well, that going home, in my car, I got depressed thinking about all the wasted time during my last 25 years of playing AND practicing, and getting nowhere. When I got home, my wife asked if I didn't do well at the range..."why the long face?" she asked...took me a minute to snap out of it. So again, thank you for doing these videos!!!!
