The Tool Reviewer
Добавлен 14 сен 2020
Hi im reviewing tools for mechanics and technicians, the tools i will be reviewing will be tools you can buy of amazon or any other brand apart from Snap-On Matco and any other tool truck because here on my channel i want to give the under dog the spot light and show what a reasonably priced tool can do. some tools iv tested have been just as good as top name brand tools others not as much but price vs value and quality doesn't always mean the big tool trucks. This is just my very own opinion you dont have to agree but feel free to leave a comment and tell me what you think

JORLIO Digital Torque Wrench 1/2 Drive Amazon unboxing and testing
Wow it would be great to drive I one of them ..does it still work ..this is nostalgia and I'm only 32
i think you have to have some type of phone connected to the other side of it im sure its aftermarket it was in a 2001 Lincoln town car and the seats were surprisingly comfortable like the best seat iv ever sat in lol
Hi, I just baught the same and it's hard to push in the socket. Did you have the same problem
yes but enjoy it while you can because after a couple of years of use and abuse you wont be able to keep a socket on it.
Can these be used on copper joints.
Mine failed after 30 minutes of normal use. Kept showing "Please insert the camera", which is strange because the optical camera is a permanent connection to the main device. Bought it new, back in November 2023. Tested it satisfactorily when it arrived, at that time. However, after almost 10 months unused and stored in its padded case, it didn't last more than 30 minutes into a simple job, where it was NOT subject to any drops, shocks, or liquids. I treat my tools/equipment with care, this thing is just put together in a shoddy fashion, apparently. What a disappointment.
DO NOT Recommend: I bought mine new on AliExpress. Tested it satisfactorily upon receipt. Stored in its case (in my home) for just over 9 months before initial use. I used it for about 30 minutes during some home garage car engine maintenance, to see between the engine and firewall. The car's engine was cold, shutdown. Summer temps outside were about 30C. The device worked during the first 30 minutes of the job. Then it displayed a "Please connect the camera" message on the display screen. I rebooted and it worked one more time. Then, after turning it off and back on during the job, the message reappeared. I tried again to shutdown and restart. Tried to reformat the SD card. Tried to reset the device to factory settings in menu, multiple times. After all of this, the same message showed up on the display. At least it worked during the critical part of the job. I then used Whatsapp and sent pictures of the device and message to Autool..which surmised that the camera suffered heat damage. HOW's THAT EXACTLY? What heat? I never exposed my practically new device to heat, cold, or any liquids. Never dropped it. What happened? Seems to me, there is a design flaw in this camera. Maybe operating the camera with the LED light cluster for more than a few minutes causes heat damage to the camera. Or maybe it's simply poor manufacturing quality. In any event, a complete disappointment. The so-called 3-year warranty support was offered on the condition that I buy the cable and camera and perform my own soldering. No issue to do this, except the charge for the replacement part (cable + camera) is US$42...plus another $15 if I chose to expedite the transport. This was economically a bad choice, when I can buy a cheaper alternative, new, on AliEx for under $34 (delivered). Albeit the later device uses my phone as a display...but for my needs...it was an easy decision to buy the alternative device. I can now use my $125 Autool SVB305 boroscope as an articulating light...that's about it. SAVE your money!!!!!! In my humble opinion, of course.
Thanks I will go for the less expensive one, it works better.
That ain't supposed to be leaking so much air
I also will beg to differ as Solary products tend to explode my shop had 6 of these and every single one of them exploded.
Mine has worked great, are you letting the coils get worn down? You are supposed to throw the coils away if they are damaged the manual states low cost generators 4kw or less may damage the tool and also recommends a use time of 2 minutes on and five minutes off
I have bought every tool Jexugk makes largest impact, med range impact the sawzall the drill, and this grinder I am impressed with aLL OF THEM I COULD buy whatever I WANT BUT DECIDED TO TRY THESE FOR FUN. I m still Rigid for all corded tools and bench saws grinders, metal work chop saws my entire first gen of Ryobi wore out and so did batteries so that's why I changed to this brand. as a weekend warrior working on shop projects classic cars and property projects these are perfect. I also own a ton of proto tools so yeah I'm not your typical consumer. the grinder is great no complaints. the drills a bit under powered but my first gen dwelt xrp non hammer drive is still a badass time machine of a tool bought some modern 8amp knockoff batteries wow what a difference over stock...
Thank you for your comment. My aim in my videos is to show you don't need to spend big money on those named brand tools there are lots of options out there. Some tools iv tested did not do as well but most of the tools on my channel blew my mind in particular i really like the DoWox impacts. They keep up with the Dewalt i have put it against and are on par with the best of them. JEXUGK is great value for money but performance wise for professional every day use i would probably go a different route but for your week end hobbies they will work just fine.
@TheToolReviewer agreed good work. Power tool market is a scam in general I got most my rigid tools from offer up for very very cheap wink wink they likely fell of the back of a delivery truck but I have no shame on that end you might be interested in reviewing Yeswelder products the welding masks for under 100 are a game changer huge color view windows nicely made products.
What is it with these lug nut test. Put it on a rusted lug nut atleast
This is not correct. The coil on the venom is larger in diameter than the one that is used on the hot rod. I would recommend getting the same diameter coil on each and then make the test.
I have one and I’m impressed. This feels exactly like an air impact! Used this fixing my motor mounts, control arms, taking off tires, and other stuff. The battery life really gets me too! I did all that and barely used any battery life! And it came with 2 batteries! Best investment I made for myself! It’s a huge time saver! I also got an off brand electric ratchet and man,it helped save so much time!
It goes to show you dont have to spend big at the tool trucks to get a tool that does as good a job
Even when comes to alcohol it's all about the name it doesn't mean it's better all the time 😂😂
So would you recommend them?
Yes i would as a mechanic/technician i have all different types of wrenches your not gonna make it with the standard box type its a great tool to add to your inventory i use these for sway bar links and anything i need 2 wrenches for to loosen fastners which keep spinning like ball joints
My understanding is that the Solary can only stay on for one minute.
no it stays on for as long as the trigger is pulled
@@TheToolReviewer I am looking at some units that have a separate box for electronices, and they claim 6 minutes power on time compared to 1 minute for this one. Talking about time with load.
@@writerjmd they short circuit and overheat very quickly. Plus the toxic fumes that come off the coils is intense and lingers in the air in the shop.
@@lapplaudme2159 I bought the one with the separate circuit box, but it failed after about 6 bolts.
Sounds like one of the Beatles here.
It appears to be nearly identical to the Seesii WH500. Nice video, no unnecessary talking, quick and to the point. Subbed and greetings from the Great State of Alaska. I'm a retired tech and these cordless impacts were still using NiCad batteries when I retired. It's neat seeing how compact and powerful these have gotten.
Thank you for your comment. Yes i agree with you i remember a few years back when i was a mechanic 91b in the army my team leader handed me battery powered impact to remove some lugnuts of a LMTV i looked at him like he was crazy. I was still pretty new to mechanics and tools but it surprised the heck out of me and recently affordable impacts on amazon are coming out every other week.
Ill take the dowox
i highly recommend it
This or the Dowox?
im not sure i understand the question but dowox makes this impact if that helps you. www.youtube.com/@TheToolReviewer?sub_confirmation=1

right here JEXUGK Portable Electric Welding Machine, 20-120A Upgraded 110V Handheld ARC Welding Machine with IGBT Inverter 6 Variable Current Adjustment, Welding Tool Set for 3/32"-1/8" Welding Rod Gift - Amazon.com
nice video good info about the warranty
what im wondering is will it break loose a front axle bolt on an audi or vw.
It does i can make a short and tag you in it if you like
@@TheToolReviewer that would be far more impressive. I've broken two 1/2 inch breaker bars on my Audi and had to use a torch to heat it so I could break it free with the third breaker bar and then that one broke on the passenger side. I ordered a 30 inch breaker bar the day I commented on this video but haven't tried it out yet.
Man, if only half the screen wasnt covered by useless text so I could read the subtitles...thanks youtube!

I always ask the same.Last time I got new wheels I couldn’t break the lugs with a 1,400 lb impact wrench. Had to make one hell of a breaker bar extension. If you are a mechanic putting that much force on lug nuts I don’t want you anywhere near my car.
If a wheel were to fall of the vehicle you just had in your bay then your getting fired straight away and are dealing with whet ever happens legally afterwards thats why a lot of us overtighten lugs just to be safe.
@@TheToolReviewer Manufacturers recommended torque is there for a reason and safety is at the top of the list. There’s nothing wrong with slightly exceeding torque to play it safe, hammering lugs to 2,000 lbs. is just screwing the customer.Warped discs? Trying to get that flat off on the side off the highway with a tool kit?? Not happening.Common sense needs to prevail here.If you’ll torque a caliper bolt to 60 lbs.or a suspension nut to 50 lbs. then you’ll be safe with 80 ft lbs on the lugs(depending on car,it varies)
id love a torque wrench capable of 2000ft-lbs lol @@johnnyhotrod
@@TheToolReviewer Impact guns have torque ranges snapper.Perhaps you should just put down the tools period….
????? lol i know that. the highest torque i have is only 1500 ft-lbs and thats a 3/4 thats why i said i wish i had a 2000 rated ft lb impact. @@johnnyhotrod
I don’t blame him. I work as a tech, good for him, and yessir
i watch people just go to town with the impact lol no torque stick just good and tight
I feel like I need to put sticky notes like this everywhere when (or if) I take my truck to the dealer.
the only sticky note i wanna see is your tip is in the cup holder lol
Use impact all the time on my f350 lugs. Never had a problem.
Well not everyone has impacts and air compressors in their trunks. Over torquing lugnut ls with impacts makes it near impossible for someone stranded with a flat tire to change themselves which is why torque values need to be used on lugnuts
@@finley614 true true , yea that would definetly be a pain in the rear. But you can never go wrong with keeping a battery powered impact and socket set in your truck. You never know when you will need your tools.
im guessing thats why he doesnt want them over torqued with an impact to@@finley614
Take your car to another shop or let me work on it like I know how to.
Well it is a Ford.....😂😂😂😂
It's probably why we have half size sockets because of Ford lol
How’s the impact holding up? I’m thinking of buying one.
It works good takes of lugs and front end work pretty good, i dont use it as much as i do my DoWox impacts. i just prefer them. Also with DoWox you can use Makita batteries as well which are sold most places if you ever need one and dont want to wait for shipping. But Jexguk is a GOOD BUY TO. ruclips.net/video/NSen7HmAcRE/видео.html
Do you think the dowox is a stronger impact? Is it much bigger than this one?
DoWox makes a 700 ft lb torque wrench is 30 dollers more but they also make a 1200 which is comparable to the Dewalt and is around $250 but they do coupons so you can get it for over 200. This one and the dowox are both the same size i just prefer the dowox i have all 3 sizes they make and iv just ordered there new 1000 ft lb wrench wich just came out @@randyclemarey1974
@@TheToolReviewer.... Well, looking hard at that 1200 ft lb DuWox...Ford f150 5.0 truck is in need of the whole Steering system replaced...Tie rods, Ball joints, Gear box, Steering wheel shaft...Basically from the Firewall to the wheel bearings...Don't wanna invest in the "Red team" or the "Yellow team"....We talking 30 yrs old fasteners that ain't been off since last installed by the factory...Will that DuWox successfully remove them...???😊😊
@@ToyManFlyer1100 "Hey there! I've reviewed about seven impacts on this channel, and I've really taken a liking to the Dowox brand. In my latest test of the Dowox 1200, I decided to put it head-to-head with my friend's Dewalt XR, which, as you probably know, is right up there at the top of the market alongside Milwaukee for electric impacts. Surprisingly, the Dowox kept up with the Dewalt quite well. There was this one instance where neither the Dowox nor the Dewalt could remove a fastener, so I had to resort to using the old-fashioned air impact. But overall, when comparing the Dowox 1200 to the Dewalt, aside from the price difference, they both perform similarly. So yes i do beleave the dowox is the way forward if you dont want to fork out $350 on just the bare tool
He would have been replacing my scarred lug nuts too for being lazy and dumping them on the shop floor
these are ford lug nuts there junk can i get a like for that lol
The handle itself was trying to tell you it was not needed 😂.
yeh i dont feel like its needed on small stuff either lol it came with it so thought why not. i was thinking it would brake my wrist im a little disappointed it didn't lol
My half inch Hart from Walmart does that too. 👏
Use both hands! Let someone else film
will do just wanted a quick video up to show new toy before i do a full review
Seems fair
Thanks for making this video it helped me make my decision
What you going to do venom or solary? If i had to choose and money wasnt a thing id like the venom but i have a household to run and if i can get the same tool for half the price you know what im doing lol thank you for watching and commenting.
@@TheToolReviewer we're in the same boat lol going with the budget friendly version thanks to your video I know it's not a bust to go the cheaper route 😎
it works great bro almost identical so why waste money. i have one more recommendation if your looking for electric impact wrenches give DoWox a try. it kept up with m,y Dewalt and is not that expensive.its a hidden jem@@alexanderthegrape5370

yes sir it also needs an engine thats why the battery is dead as a dodo its been sitting so long
