I was sad that you had stopped posting for a while. Lucky my I just found your channel again! I really enjoy your videos the fact they are long and sometimes you can ramble a bit is very relatable lol.
Hey thanks for coming back! There should be at least a video a day for a good long while. Yeah the rambling might be worse than usual since to get all these up I just skiped the whole editing bit, just haven't had the time.
There is a ajustement pin under the right pin wheel (buttons facing up). To ajust the speed of the tape, if it runs too fast or too slow, to ajust pitch. Also the screw hole next to the magnetic head is the azimuth ajustement if the left / right channels are not centered.
Thanks for the helpful info! At the moment I think something might have happened to my tape though and sadly it's a fairly rare one. Not used to storing that stuff since I don't have many. The beginning is all over the place. Cleans up part way through the first track.
@@TheProfosist an official video from fiio
Nice video. I got 2 keyboards from Vortex. They are pretty good though. Would be nice if you could do some room tour vlogs? It looks cozy.
Vote boards can be quite nice for the money and I really appreciate the modern retro throwback ones they have been doing. Sometimes I'll go over the room in videos. Probably wouldn't do a video about the room in general until it's redone since it's a real mess at the moment with all the remodeling and stuff going on.
About 41:20 I remember a conversation I had on Twitter a couple years ago, some people were trying to find a quiet keyboard for working from home, and they claimed Cherry MX Browns were too noisey. What? Most of the membrane keyboards I've used have been noisier than the MX Brown keyboard I have. Most of the noise was probably how they were hitting the keys, going to have to wear cotton gloves if you want to get it consistently quieter than that, IMO
The addition of O-rings really help with noise as they prevent you from bottoming out. (if you do that when typing) Additionally now days there are silent switches that have dampening internally. Generally they'll be linear switches. I would also argue that a gasket mount for the switch plate has been the biggest advancement in 10 years. It will also absorb the key presses quite a bit Keycap material could also matter, you'd want something a bit softer and thicker. Things like the thin cheap OEM keycaps have high pitched sounds. Something like metal or acrylic could be quite noisey compared to PBT or especially POM. Someone I our community recently built a keyboard with a number of these things in mind specifically to minimize noise but not loose the feel.
Watching this is like being on call with a friend, love these long videos. Hope for more this year
Glad your enjoying them. I'm trying to make a point to get my content out finally, even if it's unedited. You'll see plenty of new videos! The plan is at least one a day going from newest to oldest. Brand new videos will be the second video of the day.
I just got the CP-13 as a Christmas gift, I originally wanted classic Vintage Sony walk-mans, but those cost over a fortune in the Philippines (Unlike in the US where you guys have flea markets or garage sales and plus I’m not a very tinkerer person and I struggle in those areas even if there were youtube tutorials I really struggle) and it was what my sister could give to me or afford. Have you experienced any Tape eating problems so far? I haven’t so far (hopefully never) but I saw very few posts about the CP-13 eating tapes at a reddit cassette community, How’s your experience so far?
I have not had issues. You do need to be very aware when listening as it doesn't have auto stop. Gotta pay attention, especially when rewinding.
@@TheProfosist Really? What does "Auto Stop" mean? (Im such a layman im sorry) My CP-13 Red model releases the play button when finishing SIDE A or SIDE B on brand new cassettes I own (i dont own vintage cassettes, most of mine are new cassettes from indie artists)
In this case it applies to fast forwarding reversing it's like if you want to rewind the tape they can go too far But yeah no troubles so far though. I think I found out I have an issue with one of my tapes and it's a decently rare one :(
Extremely overrated and extremely overpriced.
Sadly until Milwaukee makes something with the toggle trigger, this is going to be my preferred tool. I'll agree with you to a certain extent on the price, which is why I try to buy them 2nd hand used when available.
I still want one.
Let's go! If you don't want yellow HiVis they're far easier to find.
H9 flow and i have neither. Nice.
Huh? Pretty sure that's a new enough case to have the new connector, in fact others have asked about other versions of the H9
@ ok do you think it would br an f panel cord to do it?
Br an? More than likely unless you motherboard was made prior to 2017 it has the header. As in I only know of one brand that didn't have it and was only for some boards.
you're supposed to insert that into the adapter that comes with it. so the long cable will plug into your pc, and the adapter will be somewhere close to your mouse. so it lowers the latency. watch an unboxing video for the Aerox 3 to understand what i'm talking about.
I bet I made an unboxing video for the Aerox 3...
$100 for a metal pen is dumb af.
Sucks you feel that way, others don't and can appreciate a premium product.
I'm not gonna lie I thought that was ryobi at first 😅
Ooph that hurts a little! Sadly a ryobi would never be that slim :P
@@TheProfosist You're not wrong! They're chunky boys lol. Nice ratchet though!
Thanks I had been eyeing for a while but full $ hurts too much.
It's silly almost every traditional screwdriver has a max torque control that works fine, and a simple left/right (and even neutral!) switch but somehow they make it weird. Apparently we reached peak performance when a cheap Chinese lithium-ion screwdriver has better utility than the name brand.
Yeah I gotta take a look at some of those cheap ones. I have the Amazon Basics one in my Amazon Wish List.
@@TheProfosist The one I got was a hyper-tough 3-cell "12-volt", and I was surprised to see almost the same battery pack style like, 10 years later.
I believe Milwaukee was the first to introduce the "triangle" 12v Lithium Ion battery packs. 3x ~4v 18650's only so many ways do it.
Skip ahead half an hour. Btw this video sucks.
Thanks for letting people know. It happens when it don't edit :P My conclusion; it's built well, but don't buy it there are better options.
Speed and torque are related here. Less voltage means less speed and less torque. If it was variable trigger then you could control them separately.
I mean yes on the max end, which is why I can stop it on #1. I will say even on #2 I don't have a chance. Use that on a light switch cover plate and you'll likely crack it. I could see how it does for more things but it's going back since it isn't what it says and can't do what I need.
You should try out the Dewalt DCF601(if you don't already have it in the collection). The versatility of the screwdriver is amazing. Powerful enough to build a whole kitchen with and do some work on cars. Then can turn the clutch down enough to work on fiber optic panels and electronics. Plus it's 12v so the batteries can also be used on alot of Dewalts accessories like lights, radios etc.
Little bug for my tastes but that similar to how I use my Snap-On screwdrivers. The one I showed off were the CTS661 and CTS725. I also have the CTS861 and CTS861. I don't prefer those for PC Building and things around the house though. For working on the car the extra umph is nice. Prior to all that I used Milwaukee's original 12v, even used for drilling as long as they were 1/4in Hex shank bits.
i have the dremel version of the bosch go and it is the exact same driver just different color and name it has the same clutch and everything ive been looking for the new bosch go or a new dremel version of it
You taking about the Bosch Go 2 / Go Pro that I have that has the clutch on the font? Yeah I had no idea their was a 3 until I saw it show up on ebay. Yeah the Bosch ends up as Dremel in the US since Bosch owns Dremel and they are a better known brand, at east in the US, especially for that size tool. Usually the Dremel is one version behind or so but ends up cheaper.
Did you try turning the other ring? What site did you use to buy it? I suspect you got a knockoff clone.
What other ring? The black on you push forward to make it go. The very top black bit is just what houses the LED's.
@@TheProfosist did u purchase it from ebay?
No, Amazon linked in the description.
@@TheProfosist ok, thats just so strange. i think somehow its not the brand it says it is. its a pretty common practice coming from china. it happens on amazon, but its pretty rare, ebay is much more common
Yeah I know this is a brand new tool that just came out within the last couple months I plan on sending mine back hopefully DeWalt sees the video and at least corrects the packaging otherwise maybe I'll hit him up on Twitter
Wrong video title!
What wrong with the title?
@TheProfosist Picked your video because I wanted to see Dewalt screwdriver which you unbox after half hour. Title should say "my collection of cordless screwdrivers" or " I'm super excited about my snap on screwdriver"
@marekkrepa9982 ah well I do get there eventually, sometimes I'm "a bit" long winded :P
Check out the Worx WX242, I think you will like it a lot. (Skip the WX240 no clutch or locking bit holder)
Looked up the WX242, is it older or just not US market? Basically everything I find redirects to the WX240L. Guess I'm going to have to try and hunt one down...
Vessel is coming out with a electric socket ratchet(400ER21MU) mid-2025, but I've never heard of a ratcheting electric screwdriver from Vessel, if you have info on this please share!
I only saw it mentioned in the comments of one of @FunkFPV 's videos. Bith he and I asked for more info I don't think the person ever responded.
Vessel 3-speed is one of fav's with a pencil eraser mod to take out the JIS bit-slop with a locking Wiha tip and a Custom filled Wera bit-check 7 for bits in my pocket for my take on a 6-in-1.
Yeah I've been recommended some Vessel stuff before and they've started being available on US Amazon, so I'll have to look into them as their quite unique. Love that Japanese companies often have a completely different take than the rest of the world. Can you maybe hit me with a recommended model #? Also I have to wonder if anyone actually knows why the shank of the Japanese buts is the little bit longer...
1:16:08 Paisley transit
Lol, she does what she wants.
I haven't been on "X" for a while, but last time I was on it seemed to be exclusively catered to spam and misinformation. Been thinking about getting a Bluesky account, not sure I have enough energy for social media beyond RUclips.
Your explanation is terrible
Then please make a better one just made this for somebody who what's having issues they seem to be able to figure out fine after this
@@TheProfosist Hey man, im sorry, i was mean to u with that comment. Truth is that im frustrated looking for cases with some trade-off one way or another for a storage based NAS. Im thinking of unRaid and well its annoying to think you have to buy a buncha sleds for this case you demo'd and then the Jonsbo only goes up to 12 3.5" drives and then how different explanations go into only having 16 or somehow that magic 18 as advertised, or LTT making 20 drives fit in there. You did something not much would do and for thank you. Keep up the good work. I'll work on being more grateful. Hope you have a good Christmas bro.
Hey Thanks for responding back and acknowledging. As for drive storage, yes the leads are annoying. If you picked up this case day 1 like I did there was a shortage for months and I had to run a mix of black and white ones for quite a while. Back then I snagged the cages at Newegg now seems like B&H has them. As for how many will fit in a define 7 XL natively, 12 with just the front and 4 more for 16 when you install the two cages in the bottom. Depending on PSU length and the ability to get another cage you might be able to sneak another one down there for 2 more. As for LTT's video they mount 3 in the top of the case and one on the rear fan, I couldn't really recommend that... I can say 16 works out pretty well since a HBA is going to so them in groups of 4. One warning I'll give you is if you load up 12 in the front like I have (eventually expanding to 16). You might want to pick up either high speed or industrial fans. My standard Noctua NF-F12's need to run at full tilt to keep that density of drives cool. At least of I went with 2000 or 3000rpm I could have some room for control.
Something else that I think that should be noted is some people are counting the 2.5in as hard drive spots or trays and there's a bunch of those. Personally those don't make it into my count. I'm talking purely 3.5in
@TheProfosist damn bro, i understood and agree with it all. You giving us NAStys the low down that the company should be. Do this cause doesn't come with any cages. Cages that have to go only at the bottom? Also the cage needs trays too? Man this case sounds like honestly $400!
That piece of crap is not an audiophile product. Do you think that because you paid a premium price for a piece of junk it's audiophile quality? Same thing will shitty vinyl. It must be better because it's expensive.
I see you felt the need to post this twice.
You need to chill 😂
34:30 I don't know if they do, but they could start with a forged or maybe a diecast piece, then machine a thin layer off the surface to give the case that appearance. I used to machine differential gears, they'd start out as a chunk of bar stock cut to length, heated up and squished into rough shape by a die in a forge press, then machined in a CNC lathe to a more finished shape. Uses a lot less material and time, wear on equipment, etc. Of course you have to have access to forging or casting equipment, so depending on the specific details it may or may not be worth it. High quality case, either way
Yeah I was thinking Extrusion at first but really they could start with anything that would get them clothes and then finish it off, otherwise there would be a ton of waste. Just couldn't imagine what in initial shape would be in my head. I'm probably going to add some grips to the bottom of the case so that when you slide the lid the case doesn't move then I can keep stuff in it refills or just random small desk stuff that needs a place where the kitten can't get it.
Very fine writing instrument there...never heard of these before. Cool channel btw
Thanks, just trying to share with everyone! And yeah the Side Click from Tactile Turn has one of the most satisfying actions of any of my premium pens. The vast refill support is a serious bonus as well.
Finally broke down and bought a PlayStation 5. Amazon had a decent price on a new Disc Edition Fortnite Series unit. 'Course we all know what this means. Grand Theft Auto 6 is going to launch on the PlayStation 6, and not be playable on the PS5. Just had to share. FOR THE ALGORITHM! Hmm, now I want some Ultem side covers for it
Sadly no ultem side colors I don't think. Dbrand may have had some translucent colored variants though.
11:53 My experience with collision repair
They should forget folding phones and make small, transparent smartphones. With heft and chonky physical buttons.
Hey I want cherry MX on my microwave!
@TheProfosist should be easy to cheat with an IoT microwave, probably more difficult to actually install switches on the actual keypad, I'm assuming there's proprietary firmware and PLCs involved
Agree with your point about the moon drop discdream, very poor quality. Sold mine pretty fast after receiving it.
I'm interested in the FiiO but have hard some nit great things. The second gen Moondrop does have optical out now... Should be making a video on that soon.
That piece of crap is not an audiophile product. Do you think that because you paid a premium price for a piece of junk it's audiophile quality? Same thing will shitty vinyl. It must be better because it's expensive.
Someone's grumpy, do you need a snickers?
whats your hand size and main mice?
I think I cover this and actually remeasured my hand in the DEX video. 20-20.5cm if I recall correctly... As for the mouse I main, essentially since the Vaxee XE was released, it's been my main. I knew from their description of its intended use I was their intended audience. They were a little slow on their wireless (but knocked it out of the park) so I was using a bunch of mice here and there until the wireless version was released. The XE-S had made a number of people I know finally pickup a new mouse. For me it might be even slightly more precise for gaming but my hand can cramp up a touch with regular use. Can't wait for the improvements it got to make it to the full size XE. As more videos release you'll see me compare more to the Rival 3 / Aerox 3 from when it was more relevant. Also my previous job was on on-site work so a wireless mouse with BT was a must, it fit the bill. Since it was what I used 8 hrs a day and however many once home it was a great comparison point. I usually have some sort of Razer mouse as my backup, especially for games and programs where it's easier to remap the mouse itself than the program. Right now that's the Viper V3 Pro, in the past it was usually a Deathadder of some kind. Effectively I've always like Med-Large palm grip mice. Used to prefer right hand ergo but most of the recent development in mice had been in ambi. Nowdays I tend to run what I'd consider to be "ergo" ambi mice.
you got a spare mouse to give out bro?
Sadly no since the PR at companies have changed (and Roccat got eaten by Turtle Beach) I've lost contact with the brands I've worked with in the past. Anything you've seen recently has been bought and purchased myself with the intention to add it to the reference collection. If you like my stuff reach out to some of the brands on social media and see if they'll partner back up. I've worked with them and given out models in the past! Usually people have a good chance of winning since it's a small community.
Nice video! Love the form factor. 😌
Shape is definitely on the unique side. Maybe not for me but as I've been using it, I've gotten more comfortable with the shape. Still think other grip style would have better luck.
@@TheProfosist Forgive me for clarifying, the video's form factor itself. Just direct commentary and unboxing with a fellow enthusiast. Love it! 👍Nonetheless, I agree the shape takes some getting used to. Best wishes.
8:56 this is the Controller time stamp 🏁
Thanks dude, community is great. Timestamp coming in clutch for my deluge of uncut content!
@ you’re welcome, I’m here to help 😅👍 , nice video by the way
Glad you enjoyed it! Couldn't pass up designing and making one of these controllers, might as well share it. Since Xbox announced it I thought their Xbox Design Lab was super cool and unique.
Tabaxi mice? I thought tabaxis were cats.
*facepalm*
7:28 reasonable crashout
great vid man, nice and succinct- keep 'em coming!
Ahhahahaha, will do!
Nice, good to see some fresh content. And thanks for reminding me to order pen refills.
Your welcome, I need to get some links in the descriptions for stuff like that...
Hey, What is your hand size? I'm looking for a claw grip mouse. Something that slides under the thumb cushions for stability. Im using the vv3p but the button height is too high.
My hand sizeis ~20cm or just under 8in Keep an eye out for the DEX video as I belive I go over thag in there. As for some reason I always thought I was 18-18.5cm? Click height on the E1 is going to be higher I would think. 1 sec though as the Viper v3 is the razer mouse I use not when I want something programmable. The new Viper is more of an ambo DAv3 than classic Viper shape.
Hey apologies I forgot that my E1 went to one of the other guys you see in the video as my neon green one is on the way...
ya all have so small hands need something for palm @ 22 cm height , only palm grip
Our grips are generally palm (with a bit of variation). Height is most definitely not the only issue. You'll have to watch slme other videos to get a bit more context on our grips. This shape though, just not for us it's seeming.
Might have read that wrong. Bigger hand and want palm, probably try the DEX even the Outset AX is smaller. Nice height off the apad though.
My case has a new f panel connection but my motherboard has the old one. What can I do in this situation?
Often the case will include an adapter. You can also buy them on Amazon if needed. Lastly what motherboard do you have gotta be decently old to not have it since the standard is from. 2017. Feel free to share the model and I can take a peek as I did with others. amzn.to/3D8yCMr
@ the one I have GIGABYTE -X870 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 ICE (Socket AM5) AMD X870 ATX DDR5 Wi-Fi 7
Someone has asked about this motherboard before it came up right away in my history Page 27 in your manual. It is the left half of that connector. The right half the connector is used for the speaker and old school 3-pin Power.
@@TheProfosist thank you so much it does fit
No problem, here to do what I can. Motherboard and case companies could both handle this better.
Vaxee X Ninjutso Sora clicks better or XE-S?
I feel like the XE-S is tighter. Pitch on theclick is a bit higher on the Sora. Switch Click feel between the two is basically the same, wouldn't be surprised if it's the same switch inside. I feel like the Sora's over travel is purely due to its larger flatter physical piece of the shell. For context In the video I was comparing to the wired XE as it is what I had on hand. The XE-S it's significantly tighter as they reworked the shell to help with post travel. These improvements may have been mitigated on Sora, even though it uses the XE-S as the base, due to the longer over hanging physical click design.
@TheProfosist Did you open the mouse? Are the main buttons on the main PCB or seperate PCB?
Nope I didn't crack it open and don't plan to since I only have the one. I'd imagine it's the same way that XE-S is since that looks to be what it passed certification as. That now old enough you should be able to find a tear down on one of the usual places like techpowerup.
does it feel similar to the G Pro Superlight? I like my superlight but the only thing I don't like about it is how big/high the hump is. Would you say the SORA's hump is the same?
No the hump on the Sora is higher and it's much further back creating the really acute slope. The XE is far closer to the G Pro shape.
Hey just wanted to advise of a great website named elo shapes it allows you to accurately compare mouse that your interested on to make a better purchase decision when it comes to shapes
Super useful for Define 7 XL owners. The manual is so terse as to be useless. 😂 The Racerr channel did a guide too. Also there’s ordinarily a panel on the other side that covers the other panel with the hooks and locator pin holes. You couldn’t really see the attachment points with that panel attached - had to remove it first. Pretty much the thing that tripped me up the most.
Ah yeah apologies I had already gotten rid of that panel by this point. If you run in the storage config I highly recommend you don't put it back.
Just finished a Define 7 XL. Basic PC build, just wanted a roomy, flexible case to build in.
Nice XL had plenty of room to move around in. Makes upgrading and troubleshooting far less stressful
1st though where do I get this time machine to retroactively undo somebody else's cable labeling failures?
Rip it all out and start over!
So I have the GIGABYTE B650E AORUS Elite X AX motherboard and a h9flow case. Today I was splitting hairs trying to find the front panel connectors, and I saw that new cable but it doesn’t fit into my motherboard. Know of any adapters?😊
I see a Aorus B650E AORUS ELITE AX ICE It's mentioned on page 26 in the manual and is the left part of the connector. The right half is for an old school speaker or 3 pin LED
@ wouldn’t you be afraid of frying the motherboard since only the single pin case cables usually go there though?
No the pin out is the same to maintain compatibility. You can manually do individual pins or connectors or use the single big connector.
How about ASUS Rog Strix Z790-A in an msi tower trying to find an all in one plug like that
User Manual, page 1-17, left part of the system panel header.
@@TheProfosist Why are there two PLEDs and does that mater?
One has 3 pins for the older dual color power LED, more of a vintage thing. Haven't seen them used in 15-20 years on custom built systems.
meanwhile me with a 2 pin pb & a full f panel cable
How'd you manage thag one?
