Walterclough Valley History Walk - Halifax, West Yorkshire
Welcome to my first video, a walking tour of the Walterclough Valley (Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK) and its surrounding areas, overlaid with historic photos. Filmed on Saturday 20th May 2023, early evening.
Genuinely only crossed paths with a handful of folk throughout the whole near-six-mile walk!
I have published this walk on OS Maps here (inc' the points of interest we're covering here): explore.osmaps.com/route/15397564/beckys-walterclough-history-walk?lat=53.718102&lon=-1.835597&zoom=13.6507&style=Standard&type=2d

Very interesting, but would be much better without the annoying and repetitive background "music".
Super video with so much information. Would love to see more 😊
Excellent video, very informative and a pleasure to watch.
This is a great Video. Thank you for complimenting Halifax Civic Trust on the information board on Dark Lane. It means a lot to our volunteers that our fund-raising and work to promote the route is appreciated. It was very enjoyable on a dark winters evening to enjoy your walk in the middle of May and how beautiful the area is. Thank you.
Great video. I do the walk often and i still luv it everytime .. so much history great view just a fantastic walk.. I think the stone across the beck at the end is one further up the beck that's fallen in the water..thanx for doing this video a great advert for our area ..cheers
Good walk was that Becky went wrong in a few places 7.5 miles later sat in Dusty miller
I've just seen this!!! I'm so glad you did it! Oh god, 7.5 miles is a hell of a trek, haha! I've got lost a fair few times in those valleys, ending up in fields of cows or on some random back lane! Bet you were glad of that pint at the end, haha! Hope to see you and the fam' again soon, and sending lots of love to you all. Thanks Ben - I'm off to check out your RUclips channel now.
Did this walk today. I thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you.
Ahh this was so good! Buzzing to see more from you!
Love it! Thanks for the shout out 😎
