I have been flying since I was 3 weeks old but at 34 I'm travelling for the first time with a toddler and I'm STRESSED. This video was so helpful, thank you so much for making this! Especially the trick about the pre-boarding during the family boarding. I never would've thought of that but it makes way more sense to split up boarding with your partner to get the kiddo tired out. I will definitley be using some of your tips when we travel for Christmas!

I’ve just bought a GB Pockit stroller (secondhand off marketplace) that fits into a small carryon roller case. It’s so tiny that it is accepted by Ryanair as cabin luggage. I’m dead chuffed!!!

When you gate check a stroller, will you be able to get it back on your layover airport when you get out from the plane? Or will you get it when you arrive in your final destination?

Thx for the info! I booked one five months before our departure date, and now my son grew and won’t meet the height requirement anymore 😅. We are still going to sit there cause there are no other available seats and probably ask them to not install the bassinet. So parents keep that in mind and learn from my mistake. Another downside of sitting there is the middle arm rest that is not movable! I guess that’s where the tv screen is stored. Even if there is no one sitting next to you that makes it hard for kids to lay down.

What about the floor of the plane under your seat, using a disposal changing cloth? Is that considered inappropriate?

What did you bring to make flying more fun? I am about to go on a 16 hour plane ride with my two kids alone as my husband is in military and we are getting in Italy. Also, in your video you said do not flush the toilet, may I ask why? but I appreciate it so much because I am a nervous wreck stressing out about flying!

I will never do a basic fare. Way too stressful. It’s always worth it to pay a little extra. That’s also why I won’t fly southwest. Your son is adorable!!!!
