That commentator is useless and has litle to offer. A lot of his comments are cringe, and he yells over the top of other commentators. He is mid at best.

Stephen McIvor makes me cringe. I'm not a sailor BUT I can tell Stephen McIvor knows little about sailing. He just talks about things that are obvious to non-sailors like me. He adds no value at all to the coverage, if anything he spoils it with his vaccuous blabbering. And his "buddy this" and "buddy that" make me cringe.

Completely deserved. Who tf asks a guy in the Americas Cup if he thinks his boat is slower? You’ve been watching every race, you should be able to answer that yourself. All you accomplish in doing this is pissing off a sailor after a tough loss. The guy’s provided nothing in terms of commentary the entire event. His questions are trash, and Ashby’s much better at basic commentary. After this and calling Shirley Robertson a “little girl”, he should be sacked.

Listening to the two boats I felt that Ineos lost the cup on the first day, they sounded defeated. It is a massive event and their first go at it, they have kept it very close. The second race was even until a late wind shift that TNZ got. If Ineos can win the mental game they will give themselves a very good chance to win the cup.
