Is the hood scoop functional or purely cosmetic?

I own a 04 D2 if things are on improvement, replacing the headliner and getting rid of the overhead magazine bungee so ugly , on your D2 you should have upgraded oem roof bars that are skinny to a 04 that's bigger, also loose the cassette player radio to a modern floating radio I bought the alpine touch screen its the little details that get noticed the most , you also need to add a gullwing window or solid steal one that really raise the bar by explore glazing im planning a pair for my D2

I agree with what you said about the rear bumper. All the aftermarket steel options don’t fit the aesthetic of the D2

This is awesome - I just found your videos. I'm sure you already sorted it out, but my vote would be for a full hood with functional scoop for air flow.

I currently have a similar mud,off-road tire on my vehicle and found it frustratingly loud on the tar but super nice on dirt and sandy areas. My question is, if your client wants to use it mainly for on-road use, why not opt for something more road focused .. I know it is super good looking tires tho! Greetings from South Africa

wow not replacing the thermostat system in this is crazy, they're a known problem, for whatever you guys are charging, a coolant system reroute and a colder thermostat only runs about 200 bucks and makes the disco vastly more dependable on road trips, and eliminates the overheating problems that cause headgasket failures, if you've made this many projects you should know this by now, start putting inline thermostats in these please, keeps more disco's on the road, and is basically a necessity for owning one these days.

Love it…. I have 1998 D1 SD driven daily for years. Never had mechanical issues (run 160deg thermostat in summer months)-- drips lil bit oil (marks territory)…. Replaced several window motors and broken window regulators-- still a keeper 👍

I'm not surprised to see the Discovery do so well, even being stock. These cars are way more capable than people give them credit for, especially here in the states.

Amazing project! Please, I need an answer ASAP. I love Disco Mk1 more because of the mechanical simplicity, but Disco Mk2 has a much better interior (especially the center console). What is the possibility of acquiring a Disco Mk2 center console and mounting it inside the Disco Mk2 with all the features?
