Your maintenance tips are much appreciated. What type of material are the rollers made from? 🎸🤘
Hi, is it hard to replace hardtail for kahler?
@@matt.plays.guitar not really hard to install a Kahler just make sure you measure for the scale length. There's a little routing involved underneath the bridge you can perform with a Dremel tool
@@guitarsbymetaljay Thanks!
¿what pickups do you use?
EMG super 77s- thanks for watching
Finally, a proper review for these pickups! I think their better for a more dark sounding guitar.
Hey jay! Do you have the issue where large bending causes it to go out of tune until you dive the bar? Trying to fix that issue on my own
@@joates2384 EVH had a similar problem with his strat tremolo he basically played around it by dive-bombing back in tune but here's what I think you can do to stop that - sounds to me like your fine tuners have a little extra play. You can try a tiny bit of thread lock to keep them from moving too freely - add some graphite to the threads so they don't lock up permanently before you screw them back in
What song is this
Your gonna where my guitar out....lol
🤍🤍
Any issues with the stud spacing? Looking to do this.
I had to dowell the stud holes from the tune o matic bridge and I added a shim plate to raise the Kahler up to the correct height
2nd best metal song ever
What's the first?
Awesome Cover, I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing 🤟
Stuff and guitars Metaljay... 👍
🔥🔥
How the hell do you down pick that fast? Freaking new James Hetfield over here. I can tell you practice, good sir.
Heavy ass fuck
Awesome Cover, I really enjoyed it, thanks for sharing 🤟
In a long list of JP favorites, this may sit at the top. I learned to play it in a slightly different way, the way you play is more economical though, thanks for teaching me that!
Great song, top 3 BS album
honestly sounds better than Priest’s studio version
What’s the name of the song pal
Believer by Ozzy Osbourne
My Kahler Spyder was indestructible and never went out of tune
Love it! What amp? Effects
Boss RV-6 , tera echo, chorus into a JOYO Jackman ll - thanks BTW!
Thunderstorms ⛈️ R coming This would be the intro music
Do you have to make any holes besides screw holes to install a kahler?
There is a hole routed underneath to fit the spring cam it looks similar to a fender jazz master's bridge route before the bridge is installed
Which Kahler system are you using in this video? Are the X-Trems any good?
This is a 1987 pro series it's my best Kahler I use the X trems too they are excellent bridges I recommend trying one if you are interested in getting a Kahler
@@guitarsbymetaljay Which locking nut?
@@aaroxx8447I only use Lok n Roll compensated locking nuts you should check them out -a Floyd style locking nut will work
Nice build!
can you just leave this in, if there's space? just to avoid having to cut the existing wires
If there's room there's no reason you couldn't leave it in
Amazing that tom scholz wrote every part
How to remove the weird or buzz sound of this pedal?
I probably was using too much gain it cleans up nicely when I back it off a little bit
Beautiful
THIS GOES HARD!
That is awesome You are amazing also first
mine has never from the day i bought it come back to be in tune, been to 3 people for set ups and a luther and if i unlock it and touch the bar its out of tune, nothing i havent tried in your description...
That makes no sense.
There is something wrong and it isnt the bridge.
Unless your luthier(s) are familiar with setting up a Kahler they're probably not going to get it right
@@tylerparker3024I suspect his luthiers are faulty not his bridge
Song?

Udo.
Just came across this. Back in the 80s, I used a Kahler on a Peavey T-60. The nut was aluminum. Smooth and never wore down. Never had a problem with it. Love the Kahler!
You need a template of this. Pointy Guitars forever. kieselmuseum.com/1984/img/84-v220-large.jpg
I have a V220. I traced the shape on to plywood to make a bolt on Body Template. YOU NEED ONE.
You are the man. keep them coming.
Both guitars mad sickness. I have a Carvin V220 (Kahler) and I fiend for Brass Nut. I just found a super partscaster with kahler.
That's very cool man!
I had mine modded and upgraded with gold pickguard, bridge and locking tuners as well. Also had the internals upgraded with better wiring and copper insulation along with black winter pickups, a push-pull tone knob and locking strap. My tech had to make a whole template just for the pickguard but did an amazing job. I didn’t get the same bridge you have though and kept the original truss rod cover. Basically turned the $600 dollar guitar into a $1400 dollar guitar and zero regrets. Looks almost identical to yours except for the bridge type and I kept two knobs. Love the difference in mods you did on yours as well!
Now that's a perfect Cantrell guitar...
Jay, killer guitar man. I love your style brother. Great fuckin choices!!!!!! Where did you get the JM knobs??? My initials are JM. 🤘🏻
Philadelphia Luthier tools supplies my custom hardware - thanks JM 🤘
Fuckin rad brother!!!!👊🏻🤘🏻
Don't tease us - plug in and shred.
That's sick. Is kahler any good? You get the G string tuning problem?
very cool, I've been thinking about doing the same to my KE3 or getting a js32 kelly and doing it on that instead
just looked up that locking nut, looks interesting but would it fit thicker strings? like, say, a 65?
I don't think so -The strings might be too heavy for the slots -might be okay with something up to a .56 but nothing heavier than that
@@guitarsbymetaljay bummer. looks cool, tho
