dont know how much effort you have spend for this video, but this was really a good video. keep it up bro.
the reason many finf it boring is because the game doesnt encourage you to mine and build
It's helpful. Thanks!
I used keycloak and db session strategy. I don’t want to share jwt with browser. Btw do you know how to logout from google to make possible to login with different account?
Here from Reddit! Awesome things in the works
Minecraft is as boring only if you make it boring
Minecraft becomes boring when you become boring
And don't forget that if, for some reason, the game seems boring, you can install mods, and the mod community is quite large, so there will be your kind of mod.
Your arguments after 3:40 fail, because not everyone likes redstone or building. Some people hate the idea of being an artist. For people who just play because of the survival aspect in gamemode survival or gamemode hardcore minecraft does get boring.
Whenever someone calls Minecraft boring they are essentially calling themselves boring
The reason why I think it's boring to people is because they do the same things every time. You know like gather resources to go to the end, kill the dragon, kill the wither, etc. But as a sandbox game you could legitimately do whatever you want I just think some people are so focused on basic vanilla survival being the way to play. I mean we have a full-blown creative mode. and even then you can always have mods.
A game is only truly boring when we don’t know what to do in it. (Or if the gameplay is really bad) And sometimes it can be hard just to look for something TO do in it. Even though Minecraft has almost endless possibilities, it still doesn’t stop people from getting bored because they don’t usually try to look for more things to do, or those things don’t meet their interests.
I’m not saying Minecraft is boring, but it’s not really my cup of tea. I like more engaging combat mechanics I feel like if they added combos and dodging, and enemies had more interesting moves besides walking towards you I’d get more out of the game. I’m sure there are some mods that help but idk
Tbh no games really do it for me anymore, tho it's not specifically that it's just Minecraft. Tho recently I joined a private server. Or well smp if you wanna call it that and well it's very fun
you just haven't played vintage story yet.
I mean it can get boring if you don't know what to do but if you want to learn and dive deep into farms and building it's endless possibilities
@@tylers2123 not to mention the exploits, and the math behind the game mechanics.
Please do not the cat?!?!?!
I believe one of the reasons we start off loving Minecraft back in the day but find it boring in the present, at least for me, is the fact that as we got older and matured, we've been conditioned to only understand having clear direct goals. Work, Jobs, College, Studying, it's always a goal our entire life. When we were young we had no worries, and Minecraft never forced you to do anything, so you felt free, you weren't bored. That's why Minecraft is so therapeutic and nostalgic to some people. The best way to enjoy Minecraft, is to unlearn how to play video games, rewind back to not having a pre-defined goal, set your own goals. Minecraft isn't boring, we are.
@@razorstargazer I missed those feelings 😔
great video dude, i hope you will blow up :)
hmm so you talk about the videos in the first minute then the video just turns into a build/redstone showcase?
Yeah, I might have leaned in a little too much on the editing and not enough on the analysis on this one. Appreciate the feedback.
@@Jackson_Zheng yeah I will say the editing looks great
This video doesn't really explain how Minecraft isn't boring, all you did is show off cool builds you liked and said "just don't quit after the Ender Dragon". Most people making these "Minecraft is Boring" videos, along with the people who agree with those videos, are made by people who have been playing the game for nearly a decade. Of course playing the same game for that long is going to get old. That's precisely the reason that a lot of people go through kicks of playing for a week or two and then quit for a few years. Staying away from the game for a long time can leave it feeling pretty fresh but as soon as you've came back and played for a bit you remember the burn out you felt playing it the last time and quit as a result. Your video is very well put together but I don't think it conveys the message you're wanting to.
@galaxyrunaway That's very interesting 🤔. I wonder whether that is why the video didn't get as much initial exposure. Thanks for the feedback!
People who say Minecraft is boring are those who were blown up while mining Diamonds
Keep up the good work ❤
If you "end" a game you just need to get some new challenges Minecraft just give you this challenges out of the box
UNDER RATED AF BRO
Nah idk. I just have no motivation after killing the dragon. Did it for the first time ever in a survival world yesterday, now can't find any reason why I should keep going. Like for example you could ask why did build x? Because x is going to help me in my journey to beat the dragon. Why'd you mine that many diamonds? So I could have a full set of armor and tools for the dragon. Now after the dragon, even with an elytra, I can't find a single reason why I should do the extra things. "Explore" Why? Build massive structures. Why? You feel me?
Why do you go through life? To beat the ender dragon? Point is, you gotta give meaning to it yourself. That isn't for everyone, that's fine, but there are plenty of games with clear goals to work towards. Minecraft is just not one of those.
@@cluelessmango768 Very true, I grew up with Minecraft loving it, thought it was fun because it didn't force me to do anything. Nowadays it's boring to me because I want to be given a task - why? because as we get older we get conditioned by jobs, school, and it rewires our brain to lose the thoughts of having free will. Thats why a lot of people find Minecraft so therapeutic, you can just let loose and do whatever. The best way to enjoy Minecraft is to simply forget how to play a video game, forget goals, and just let it flow, set your own goals.
@@cluelessmango768 I just think Minecraft isn't balanced in a way that makes it meaningful to do any real exploration. The structures that spawn in the world have little to no value of finding because the loot pool is laughable. The game has leaned way more heavily in it's sandbox/creative nature than it's survival because Mojang are either too scared or don't know what to do about the actual core gameplay. If there was a much more meaningful sense of progression in the game and things to do after you beat the ender dragon I'm willing to bet people would be more inclined to keep playing but the reality is you're kind of forced to exploit the game so you can just do the fun stuff. It's why there's tutorials on how to create mob spawners, iron farms, automatic tnt devices, automatic beef farms, stuff like that. Because people don't want to by their 50th hour keep doing the same things like it's a chore. If there was a much more streamlined way to automate these things like say for instance an actual village update where your villagers contribute to producing food for you, iron for you, materials and other things for you it would be so much better because then there's a sense of progression from doing the labor yourself to "automating" it and now I can have fun with exploring the world. People just get burnt out because even though there's new things in the game the gameplay still hasn't changed after all these years.
@@blackice8634 I don't think you understand the joy of Minecraft at all. Again, there is a sliding scale of the amount of hand-holding a game does. Minecraft barely tells you to break a tree, whereas a Call of Duty campaign won't let you leave the confines of the current objective. There is a market for both, and neither style of game-design is wrong. Many people would say that Minecraft's heavy creative nature is its charm. Meaning is subjective. Many people do find meaning in Minecraft after beating the Ender Dragon, and many people don't. For those that don't, that's fine, there's many games that give clear objectives. Those are designed for your taste. But just because you can't find meaning in a game without a clear objective doesn't mean nobody can. You mention "exploiting the game" by making "mob spawners, iron farms" etc. These are not exploits! If these were exploits, Mojang would've long patched them. Nay, they are part of the freedom you have in Minecraft to give your world shape the way you see fit. You spend your early Minecraft days starting up, and every small step is an achievement. Soon enough you start building farms, which make the tedious processes less tedious. Soon enough you make an iron farm, which enables you to make super smelters, next you get working on witch farms... Every farm is a new challenge, and the results of your labour enable you to take on the next big challenge, which sometimes is nothing more than farming up nice building blocks for your cool house :) 'If there was a much more streamlined way to automate these things like say for instance an actual village update where your villagers contribute to producing food for you, iron for you, materials and other things for you it would be so much better because then there's a sense of progression from doing the labor yourself to "automating" it and now I can have fun with exploring the world.' You're arguing that the fun part of Minecraft is only the exploration, but that ain't true. If you find building farms a hassle and don't want to do it, then don't. If you want to explore your Minecraft world, then do so. Hell, have some fun along the way, pretend you're a nomad and make notes in a book and quill! Steal camels and loot piramids, it's all there. Everyone enjoys Minecraft the way they want to. And if you want to have access to many things, but don't want to build farms, you're free to play creative mode! And eventually you'll burn out. Everyone does. Nobody can play a game for 10 years and not experience burnout now and then. Sometimes you just feel like you've stretched your creativity to its limits, and that's ok. Take a break, Minecraft will be here for a long time ;) once you find some more passion to unleash in Minecraft, you can always hop right in!
@@cluelessmango768 I've been playing the game since it could be downloaded. I was the kid who brought the USB stick into school so that everyone could play Minecraft on school computers back in like 2010. I can confidently say I know what I'm talking about. Not only know what I'm talking about but also know many other people feel the same way because there's been several other RUclips videos, discussions, mentions out there saying the exact same thing. Minecraft has steered away from its survival aspect in favor of offering a more sandbox/creative game. And that's fine, it is what it is but let's not act like the people who are tired of the game for what its become are wrong or as you put it "Dont know what they're talking about". I just wish Mojang would actually entertain the idea of evolving the game beyond what it's always been
I did not expect such a very well edited, scripted video only had about 200 views. I didn't even realized until I checked after finishing the video. Very underrated
Ive only recently gotten back into minecraft after around 2+ years of not playing. I think its more so losing inspiration/motivation that deters people away from the game
Jackson and Gerg really out here carrying Mojang dang, mad respect 🎉
after reading the comments i checked the views and now im hoping this blows up.
Congrats... I am your follower now!
Great video man
This is the best tutorial I've ever seen. Thank you
Just my feedback but I thought this video was supposed to be about auth, yet half the video is just building a nextjs app.
What were your original expectations for the video? I'm trying to figure out this RUclips thing so I'm probably going to miss more shots than I hit, but curious what you were originally thinking the video was going to be more like?
unexpected gem, keep it up dude!
Awesome 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wtf, this is actually good content. Clearly you deserve more views.
Thank you!
This video is very well put together and deserves much more attention! Keep it up dude! 🎉
Thank you for the kind words!
bro how did you do doxcker
This is the best tutorial in 9 years of learning coding. The info behind the code, the video speed, the structure, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT! Your 2 months of efforts to create this video really paid out!! 🎉❤
at a high level, how would something like an upvote system work after you've set up the initial sign in? assuming everything works and you can authenticate a user into a page, and you have postgres set up, do you use something like an events side effect to ensure a user if authenticated before calling a server action to perform the upvote action? or is it simpler, like you check for user auth in the server action itself?
What about asp net back end as an authentication provider with a token how does that work in next js. I havent seen any proper documentation regrading that so i don't know where or what to look for?
If i were to use next.js as only the front end and have an express server as the backend would anything need to change from this auth setup?
I’m still learning this framework and had issues deploying the system to production. During the build process, I encountered some errors with variables that I managed to resolve, but once the build was successful, I faced problems related to the Secret. I’m more accustomed to React, where I could simply take the build folder and it would work. In this system, do I need to move these folders (.next, node_modules, package.json, and package-lock.json) to my production environment for testing?
I should do an X appreciation tweet ...you're legendary I was stuck on auth for 6 months
@@ayarahemmanuel3326 That would be amazingly!
This is a cool video, but most nextjs applications do not hold the database connections. Another video where you connect to an express server and do similar things would be helpful, although i'm sure i can take it from here.
why you don't need a code verifier ? I faced a issue that google oauth api tell me my code verifier is invalid
Thank you
so so good
really nice tutorial, coded along and really enjoyed it! thanks
btw ending got me hahaha
