An Interview with Jermaine Sprosse • Featured Album January 2024
If I have it I would play in a different way and much more beautiful
That's amazing :)
Thanks for a great video. A lot of people seem to be looking at early music today. the obvious antidote to Eurovision.
Can't hear you, sorry...
Sound issue fixed now. Great interview...
Great video.
Where do we get the pipe
does anybody know the film which this instrument was played? There was a film where this double recorder was featured, but I can't remember what it was. But although you might not know the name of the instrument, you may recognise it from certain films
This was just fantastic. Thank you.
The best music in the history of Western culture.
Saltarello is hard. No shame in cutting at 4:11
What is the piece that he is playing?
La Folia.
@@Natyelvertonmusictuition There are many La folias out there, wich one is it?
Hi all, I’m a modern Viola player working towards my grade 5. However I’m really keen to learn the Viol along side this. Am I able to do this as a grade 5 player or should I wait until I’m a more experienced player on a modern instrument?
What is the Tuning play Trotto ?
Lovely and intimate!
Brilliant .. BUT, I have always assumed from the iconography that the tabor was snared? The BUZZ is iconic!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Where I can order such pipe?
Very nice
Wow I’ve never heard that saltarello on pipe and tabor before, but you performed it incredibly!!! (Of course familiar with the tune; I’ve heard about a dozen interpretations but never for just pipe and tabor!) It seems so much more difficult with only one hand for pipe and having to drum at the same time!
What is your gittern tuning, please 😮
Is this one of those Roosebeck instruments? Made in Pakistan? Where is this instrument made??
Hi! Thanks for your message. Our instruments are made exclusively for us by a maker in the Middle East, and are set up and serviced individually by our luthier in the UK prior to despatch. Hope this helps, but do let us know if you have any questions at all
Ty sir
I'm glad that there are people out there keeping our traditions alive!
OMG!!! This guy's resonant voice is very soothing to listen to
Thank you! I was searching “early bagpipes” on RUclips and it’s impossible to find actual “early” pipes. Now I found you but maybe I should search Uillean pipes
Thanks very much for the very interesting information and playing. Having been extremely interested in all lute-like instruments, I was wondering if there is an e-mail via which I can communicate with you?
I love this!
Now im convinced that they used this instrument in tom the train
Is the tablature for these pieces available anywhere?
Wish she tested the Mollenhauer Canta!
Wonderful videos, thank you...
Dude it's adorable! It even sounds cute lol
The most adorable pipe organ I have ever seen
Sounds like Christmas to me 🎉
What's the size of Tabor used in this video?
可愛い💕
Kinda sounds like a fairground organ
😂 Excelente video
The song sound like a piece from the 12 century
Yoshi’s Wooly World??
thnx for sharing your kwnowledge, learned a lot!
bless the Youtoobs algorithm. I stumbled across several similar organ videos and now they’re giving me more. yours was excellent.
no 32' bombarde?
Nov._18_2023, three years, no comments? My tenor gathers frequent glimpses sitting in the kitchen cupboard above my sink. Since i chose to ignore every review describing the stretch of the right fingers. At 64 one should be more wise than stubborn.
It's a lovely instrument : smaller than a lute and reminding a renaissance guitar, and sounding so magically medieval and oriental all together. Are there modern tabs of ancient music pieces for learning from scratch ? I'm a ukulele player (for the moment, lol) and I love playing ancient music on my ukes. I know my question is a bit naive, but I dream of learning medieval music since a very long time, and this instrument would be the perfect fit for me : small, portable, 4 courses of strings only, and sounding divine. Many thanks in advance if you can reply ! 😊
So it has 8 string?
@@Donot617 The gittern yes. The uke no. But there are ululeles with 8 strings too.
@@bernardinelermite1133but I see the gittern has variety type like 4, 8, even 10 strings, is it right?
@@Donot617 I'm not a gittern nerd, lol. I was interested in the one with 4 courses (= 8 strings) because both the size and the 4x1 or 4x2 strings are similar to an ukulele. So I guess it would be easier for me than a 5 course one. Anyway, unless tuning is the same, it's going to be a totally new world for me ! 😅
@@bernardinelermite1133haha 👍

No. It just sounds cute is all.
