Its hard to recite while u refine. But people do it its much harder especially with complex bars

@@lightwork5414 personally for me the fact it's rhyming helps, I don't really rap like I used and I was never amazing but usually if I could remember my first few bars I could remember my verses as long as I kept going

@@lightwork5414 I've only done a couple songs that way, whenever I write whether off top or not I always recite from the start. One of my best verses was written off top but again I'm nothing amazing just speaking from my experience

There’s a couple interviews of ghetts saying weird shit. Think he’s on of them who lets the rap reputation get to his head outside of music, good artist but chill out with the next level shit it’s just a different method same result

He used to write them on his phone now he "writes/practices" them mentally. In other words he memorises them but he doesn't actually do the whole writing them down or typing them out.

@@Guyforkz everybody does it, but most people write it before they recite/rember a whole set of bars. Most rappers who say i freestyled the whole thing usually have basic bars even tho its a skill.

@@lightwork5414 There’s off the top of head freestyle like say King Los and there’s those that don’t use a pen to write, Aka Biggie, Jay-Z..DG does both.

@@Guyforkz yh and thats harder to do than some new wave rapper bars that are lit but sometimes so simple. Take Kodak and gucci mane, two of my favoute artist, but if they told me they didnt write there lines id still be impressed but not as impressed as if big L did it because of the complex flow and double/tripple entendres. fans think because they can remember their favoute artist tracks that its just as easy to make ur own bars and remember it, its not...but theres still levels.
