We found a Chaco Tortise in Arizona. Great info on how to care and feed it.She is superfast and very aware.

Living in AZ I haven't been able to find local breeders. I suspect, as you mentioned, that is because they can't be sold. I hate to pluck them from the wild though. They are such wonderful lizards.

Was that a lavender bush that the bumblebee was collecting nectar from. ?

Those "baby" Emerald tree boas were actually neonate Green tree pythons. Emerald tree boas are only born as red neonates while Green tree pythons can be born as both red or yellow. And 99% of either species sold at reptile expos are imports!

incredible...my parents couldn't pry me away from the galaps at the san diego zoo...i was ten in 1969...i have an adult breeding trio of burmese mountain browns...plenty big enough for me...your collection is beyond awesome...thank you so much for what you do!

Incidentally, there were also two Japanese internment camps in Arizona during the war including one on the Gila River Indian Reservation. As we remember and honor our heroes this Memorial Day I am reminded of our uncle, Loren A. Stoddard who was stationed at Hickham Field when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and was awarded several medals for valor. He was also shot down while protecting a crippled bomber, which escaped and Loren spent the rest of the war as a POW in Saipan and Tokyo. He received the Silver Star award. His wife, our aunt Helen Joe is 101 years old and will be interviewed concerning Uncle Loren, on Bob Evans Fox 13 Utah, on Memorial Day at 9:00 PM Mountain Daylight Savings time.
