Why one earth would you insist on forcing this drone upon anyone? I'm at the uni right now, only temporarily thank god (lol). It's not a nice sound, it's not even musical. It's nonsense conforming to a scale. Exactly what requirement does this fulfill?

Yes, they really are grand! We're lucky that there's a contingent of people who are settled in the city and teach/run ringing, from handling and up. At the Minster we usually get a few new recruits each year, and people always leave after uni.moving away/ other; but we collectively are a family of ringers and try our best and learn together.

When you live right next to this, it's so annoying and incessant.

@simonbellringer These are fine, all by Warners, Tenor is just over 3cwt. I've rung a few quarters here, just need one bell to circle the tower!
