I'm a 3rd generation Czech-American. The first chips you opened are good but the oil goes rancid quickly. That's with that whole brand. Pedro candy is amazing!! I love so many kinds. I would invite you to look at the ingredients and that may help you understand some of the textures and flavors. I think you are two sweet ladies and I enjoy my time with you. Fun video! Thank you! I have to say, though: they sent you a bunch of mostly crappy snacks in that box. About the only things in that box I'd like are the Jaffa Cakes and the Crunchie. Prawn = "Jumbo Shrimp." Also, the "cocktail sauce" we use in Britain is usually a creamy Marie Rose sauce made of tomatoes, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and black pepper (or ketchup & mayo, if you're going cheap), rather than the kethcup / horseradish cocktail sauce you usually get in the States. If you hated the texture of the Skips but liked the flavour, though, we've got loads of prawn cocktail snacks in the UK with different textures, mostly straight-up crisps. (And if you mix Walker's Prawn Cocktail & Walker's Worcester Sauce crisps together, they end up tasting EXACTLY like Rap Snacks' Li'l Baby All-In Chips -- the regular ones, not the hot kind.) We sometimes get meat flavours in our snacks without using actual meat, so it really pays to read the ingredients list. Like, the Smoky Bacon crisps will use milk proteins, yeast, smoke flavouring, and various salts to get their flavour, and it usually ends up pretty darn accurate. Having said that: yeah, I agree with your assessment of the Hula Hoops. The "honeycomb" in the middle of the Crunchie is meant to be a kind of cinder toffee, which is essentially a caramel that's heated up until it boils (hence the bubbles inside) and all the water is driven out, hence the crunchiness (and slight smokiness). But "Butterfinger mixed with Milk Duds" is a pretty darned good comparison, I must say. I honestly have no idea why Sherbert Fountains are still being made. But you aren't suposed to eat the liquoprice dipping stick until the very end. Or at all, really. None of that nonsense is fit for human consumption, as far as far as I'm concerned. Blecch. You have my sympathies, though. That was a naff snack box. I think you need to get over to the UK and try our REAL food.
