Becoming Independent - also known as BI - helps people with developmental disabilities live meaningful and productive lives. We are a nonprofit community benefit organization serving Sonoma, Napa and Solano counties with a purpose to elevate human abilities for the mutual benefit of our Community.
Each year thousands of individuals walk through our doors and are welcomed with opportunities to be productive and engaged community members through three strategic initiatives:
Innovative Education
Elevating Independence
Employing Abilities
At BI, we believe our pioneering model has and always will break barriers for people with disabilities. We believe in the power of authentic human connection. We believe that beauty and potential exist in each of us. We believe it’s our responsibility to be active citizens. We believe in standing for the rights of all people, the right to a life of dignity and fulfillment.

I miss bi best place to work in my opinion
They treat their staff like shit. They pin 5 or more participants with one instructor. Not good.
Shame on BI!! I am not support them anymore. They are cruel to animals that live nearby Shame on Sarah Ross and Darryl madson (maintenance irracional guy)
