Train set #218 high speed tests, cruising a smooth 60km/h then accelerate to a higher speed of 120km/h. Then do the brake test and bring the set to a stand still. Awesome footage from Mathys Pretorius.

Thanks Basie,watch every episode,I am an old Railwayman and worked in the Operating Office upstairs on Queenstown Station.Although I was just working with the North line to Burgersdorp,was very familiar with the South and all the Stations are familiar.How I remember and long for the old days. I noticed that all the train controls have changed completely. And the gages are all electronic. Back in the old days it was all machanical gauges. Its really changed alot. Anyways, enjoy Bassie. 👍

Ja dai woorde,kan jy nog onthou, laat n mens trug dink aan al di goeie ou dae. Ons nuwe generasie gaan baie min positiewe denke het van hulle lewe want die lewe het so baie verander, want daar meer negatiewe goete en dinge wat gebeur in ons lewe wa ons kinders nie meer veilig is nie. So watte positiewe herhinneringe sal hulle het, ons kan ma net bid dat dit beter sal raak.
