I can't say she's definitely her, but we must remember she auditioned and was accepted at Julliard at age 5, she presented Bruch Violin Concerto 1, which is fairly difficult. Even for a prodigy Sarah Chang was a freak!

Three things I keep thinking of while watching this video: -unmeasurable talent -how can an amateur video from the 80s have decent sound quality? -How can the gentleman in the sunglasses and red shirt look so bored?

5살때 이미 완성된 바이올린을 해서 정말 천재라고 밖에는 말이 필요없네요 지금 현재 천재들이라고 하는 바이올린 연주가들은 그냥 수재 수준이네요

If this was really Sarah Chang on her 5, then wow, i'm trully amazed, with all that musicality and techniques. I haven't really see a prodigy at 5 playing an advanced piece such as Introduction Rondo and capriccioso. She really is fantastic.

@endoscoper Hi, thanks for posting. This is indeed Sarah Chang at age 5 (she confirmed with me) and it is truly a blessing that we could have an archive of her at 5. She actually auditioned for Juliard playing the Bruch concerto just before she turned 6! This is I guess one of the true digital testament of what is truly a child prodigy (someone who attained mastery of their trade before the age of 10). Other viewers reference the other videos in London where she plays Sarasate's Carmen fantasy on a 1/2 size violin and there is no doubt of her consumate skills and musicality. Having been born in December 10 in 1980 a lot of people confused her age to be 1 year older in late 1990 and even a video incorrectly labels it to be 1993 when she would have been 12. When you say your home movie archives you mean that you or someone would have recorded this video?

bravo bravissimo, she performed in dallas at the meyerson symphony center in 2005. at that time i had acquired a dozen of her cds, including an autographed cd. now all those are in the dallas dump. a real shame as i was very proud to own them.

5살이 저런곡이 들리는가? 나는 동요도 않들었던것 같은데...5살이 다 이해하고 느껴...그리고 자기만의 방식으로 배운테두리에서 테크닉을 다 소화하고 저게저렇게 빨리 기교가 가능한지...?아주 어릴때부터 장난감처럼 타고난 음정으로 가지고 놀았단 소리데...그래도 어메이징...5살이 힘이 있나?...소리가 다 들려...역시 괴물!

오마이... 회 화질도 낮고 마이크 뒤쪽이라 얼굴이 잘 보이지 않아서 확신하기 어려운 부분도 있지만 얼굴 말고, 내가 보아온 장영주씨의 활 테크닉 (시원하게 처음부터 끝까지 충분히 활용하는) 이나, 현 튕기는 손가락의 모습, 리듬을 느끼면서 몸의 움직임을 다이나믹하게 가지고 연주하는 것은 진짜 장영주씨가 맞는것 같아 보이네요 ㅜ 저 나이에 저런 연주를 할 수 있었을, 미국에서 태어난 아시아계 여자아이 는 지구상에 한명 정도 였을것 같으니...힘있는 소리도 물론이고 사라장이 맞을것 같다에 한표. 하지만 혹시 사라장이 아니었고 어떤 훌륭한 다른 소녀였다고 쳐도 연주 자체의 훌륭함은 시들지 않죠!!!!! just incredible!!!!!
