Moab Hells Gate - Hells Revenge Suzuki 450 climb & crash
Просмотров 7977 лет назад
After climbing Hells Gate, making it, and then crashing at the end I broke my wrist in two places and then proceed to ride my bike out across Hells Revenge single handed. Not bad at 47 years old, you play you pay!

02-06 Mini Cooper BST Battery Cable Quick Fix - Car won't start. BMW E39 5 Series has a repair kit also that might work.

@@motorizedbicyclerider5296 lol, yep haha
WHAT IS THE LITTLE BLACK BOX ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD CALLED ?
Someone said you can push it back in and turn it so it stays! and place a 2 ohm resistor where the switch plugs in, light should go off on the Dash
Ok I I😅😅 CB😊😅v 😅😅😊😊
Did you cable get hot when you drive?? Cuz my cable getting really hot after accident I did same
Scaring the heck out of the viewers with the poking of the screwdriver and the big crescent on the hot side so close to the body!
Thanks for posting this. My 04 Cooper S came to me with a 5 watt 3 ohm resistor soldered between the blue and brown twisted pair of wires that your video shows alongside the red battery cable that runs under the rear trim. These wires must normally go to whatever fires the Squib/BST and the system looks at the resistance between them when it runs its check. The PO said he installed the resistor because corrosion in the battery cable/Squib caused the air bag light to come on and the resistor keeps it off. Thanks for helping me to understand what he did.
do you see this option? any phtos or tutorial?
Good info. I would add that anyone doing this please disconnect the negative terminal first so you don't turn the back of your Mini into an arc welder especially using a 10in. crecent instead if the 10mm wrench.
SO CLOSE
Thank you for the informative video..as i had a bang noise in the 06 JCW car & wouldnt start next day.. was exactly what you pointed out.On inspection i wondered why the BST cable was loose..obviously it had popped out due to overload in battery.i got The AA out, to check all,& service guy wasnt aware of the BST,& battery wasnt get a proper charging reading from alternator & battery due to BST lead popped.AA service guy said new battery & alternator faulty. In fact when he left,.i checked youtube,& saw yr video explaining all. This was a great help,& got AA battery service to install new battery,& all appears good now.Battery guy also coded the battery to the computer(important) .NB the old battery BMW make (prob original) was 11 years old!!So even the AA service guys werent aware of the BST module. As now the BST cable is secured back correctly..the charging should be fine. I hope the above explains what to look out for & check,so any Mini owners will save $ & assists then in trouble shooting.
Mine was not popped but i had a lot of water in the battery compartment and it caused the issue. It might be my antenna. or could be the break light. not sure.
Thanks so much, amazing!!! Not more. problem.
thanks charrun432 it did the trick !! I did not know the mini cooper had the BST on them and now I do $280.00 later,, well it did need a starter!! but I wasted $160.00 on a battery. but oh well ill now later. thanks so very much!!
The BST system has a good intention but may do more harm than good in most reality situations. BMW recalled this cable for 570,000 cars in February, 2013. The deployment of the BST during a minor collision causes sudden engine shut off on the highway, and can cause severe or even fatal accidents such as hitting by other cars in the evening. The German engineers had tunnel vision in creating such an expensive but unnecessary design. As plunging to water is more likely than fierce car crash, a manual window glass handle may be more important and life-saving when it can be re-installed by the manufacturers.
The recall you're talking about was for the terminal at the other end of the cable, where it connects to the fuse box. Not the BST connector. When this failure happens, it might sometimes cause a brief loss of engine power. Not a shutdown. There have been no injuries due to this, and only one minor accident. And none of this involved Minis. www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/driveon/2013/02/16/bmw-recall-cars-cables/1924627/
