Welcome back to the only show on RUclips with High Voltage collecting! For this episode, Deke has yet another deep dive into a live performance he attended for us! Rock/Funk band Living Color opened for Extreme, the progressive hard rock band from Boston. The show may not have sold out, but it sounds like T Bay missed out on an amazing time. Bruce acts like he is 18...great clip Deke
@@badfinger20 thanks pal!
You are #6
The original production was pretty bad but the songs were so damn good it didn't matter. A classic. As a kid i couldnt figure out why the prior album You Can't Stop Rock n Roll sounded better. Weird things happen during mixing/mastering sometimes.
Good point about the previous album sounding sonically better. Thanks for dropping by.
Maiden is one of those bands that vinyl is a plus so you can look at that amazing artwork. And great books there Deke!
Thanks for watching John. We appreciate the support! I think you would like the books I featured here and of course Maiden.
Great Scores there Kevin!! I think I paid $15 for that Ozzy vinyl. Sorry you had to pay $40 LOL!!!
🔥🔥🔥
That voice never changes.
And censored as always. And i wanna rock reprise is missing of course.
What is censored?
Talking like fuck mongoloid all of it on the live cd
Fun stuff, gentlemen. Glad you had a great time at the Coney Hatch show, Deke. Nice these guys are so approachable. I dig Keb' Mo', Mudcrutch, Joni Mitchell and Thin Lizzy, based on what I've heard! 🙂
Thanks for watching. Kev was pretty stoked to get that Mitchell album for various reasons haha
What??? Deke is back in the CD game!! YES! Welcome to the club, brother!
Bahahaha… unless vinyl drops in price I’m kinda done with it for a bit and only will certain bands on vinyl from here on out
Sudrock!
Nice one Deke!!
Great show guys!!
What is the last track on the Live CD? I Wanna Rock reprise?
TS just go back into the song. I have no idea why… kinda weird sequencing especially after SMF…
Great haul there sir! I have the 6 CD box set of that Aerosmith greatest hits. It is awesome.
@@2loud2oldmusic thanks pal. That Aero live stuff is Gold!
@@thedistortiondenMy brother and I were in attendance at The Toys performance in Boston on Live Bootleg. It was solid!
Nice those japanish pressings. Cool you got them for a good price.
@@holspa Pretty psyched with these scores. Thanks for watching!
I like Billy a lot. It was my second concert ever with Nazareth opening up. I'll give it a try. I thought he would be around for decades when I heard him....never wear pink if you are a rocker!
Yeah, he took a huge hit with that video. A shame really as Billy released a lot of great stuff after that record. Thanks for watching Max!
Great Canadian band !!! Solid players ❤
Stay hungry rocks.
That looks great. Might need to get that one down the road. Great show sir!
Yes you do need it!
They should have recorded the Saxon Covers for B Sides.
Damn, that would have been a great idea. Thanks for dropping by!
I remember these guys growing up... I liked them I have to admit. The videos were better than most others. They wouldn't be arguing now unless they were successful lol.
Yes thats true.Amazing really they hit the jackpot in 84 and by 86 it was over for them as their headline arena tour tanked. Yet here I am in 2024 babbling on about TS! lol. This is a good album and your right there videos pushed them over the top. Thanks for watching and commenting Max!
Nice edition, will have to get it. Still my fave TS album. Thanks for showing it. The live cd came out before on vhs officially , and it was on mtv too. I have that vhs but its nice that it came out on cd too now.
Thanks for watching and commenting on the live show. I had no idea it had previously come out on VHS back in the day. It is a great set. Cheers to ya!
Great review. Glad to hear it was a solid live release and very disappointed that Erik didn't get to last longer with band!!
Thanks dude! It is a bummer Erik didn’t last as Skid Row had put out a very good record. Hopefully SR has success finding another frontman.
No Skid Row ,without Sebastian Bach! He is irreplaceable! Now they are a tribute band.
Fair enough and that’s a valid point but I think by the sounds of it SR has moved on from Bach. Thanks for dropping by.
Nice that they actually recorded this version of the band live for prosperity. Even better when the mix is done well.
Great sounding album. Been non stop listening to this.
headphone album... know what yur sayin!...u slap phones on you can hear difference with certain mixes.
Thanks for watching. Makes it easier to listen to in the ears as well when the screaming crowd doesn't overpower the artist.
I don't know Skid Row's music. Based on sampling a few tracks (using headphones😀), I have to agree with you this is a well-mixed live album.
@@christianpflaumer7286 thanks for watching! It’s one of the best sounding live albums I have heard in a long time.
not the same without S Bach...but ya gotta rock , when ya gotta rock....
Great episode guys! Loved hearing about the Living Color and Extreme show. Plus the pictures and videos were a cool touch.
Thanks for watching pal. If either of these bands make it to your neck of the woods....GO!!
@@thedistortionden I checked and currently they are not.
Great show boyz!! Extreme/ Living Colour was the best show I’ve seen in T.Bay for sure.
Thanks for tuning in dude! Extreme/LC will be a tough one to beat....
Yoh , K and Agent D on the podcasht live !! shaaawtgunnn..
Thanks for watching Space Ace.... no shaaaaawtgun or tambourine in this episode!
checkin all the showzzz awwwt !
Thanks Man!!!
What a great show guys! So happy to see Kev with the Idol on vinyl!! I'm so proud! I'm enjoying the UFO box set. Can't wait to spend some time with those albums. You guys found some great stuff and loved hearing about the Cult show. Sounds like a great show. Keep the shows coming!
Yes! Kev has done you proud by snagging that Idol release. Thanks for sticking it out and watching! By the way I’m glad you’re digging that UFO box set! Cheers pal!
yeah Dekes. I speculated as to the absence of a rhythm guitarist. Same reasons as you , but to add it must affect the selection of the setlist. Duffy riffmeister whitehot fingers can only switch from rythm to lead so fast. Ians vocals i agree , were spot on and better than 8 years ago at the fort. Lol....the guy in the front fell flat on his face trying to guess the " magic question" .., epic fail indeed...embarrassing. Duffy yeah He bolted,.. why brother ..i dunno.
@@RobertoEarnywho thanks for watching! That dude in the front had a phone in his hand why didn’t he frigging google what year it came out? Hahaha… Duffy is indeed the riffmeister as I liked that it was just him… that dude can handle it all as he wrote co wrote it all with Wolfchild who was on his A game! Cool that Ian was here as a kid, who knows I may have bumped into back in the day out at Sibley…. Yeah Yah!
shawwwt gunnnn
Fun stuff, gents. Deke’s campaign to turn me into a metal head (or is it a Deke Head?😂) is working, and I’m happy to report I recognized a bunch of the bands and artists you discussed like Cheap Trick, UFO and Rainbow. Speaking of the latter, while I loved the Foreigner-ish “Stone Cold” at the time, Rainbow’s earlier stuff, especially the “Long Live Rock & Roll” album, holds up better to me. Anyway, keep up the great work!
Awesome! Thanks for the kind words and watching along. Rainbow with Joe Lynn Turner was going for the American market but I get what your saying when your talking about the older Rainbow material especially with DIO at the mic! It's fun to do a show where there is no planning ahead ...Kev pushes record and off we go! Cheer pal!
liking this INNNNN advance .
great concert , my buddy was up front by the stage!
Dafuq? They are touring? AND, they are in Canada??
Yup, going across the country basically from Montreal all the way west to Vancouver.. great show 17 song set.. check it out if you can.
@@thedistortionden i'm in bc, but 3 hrs from vancouver. They are there tonight. Impossible for me to make it now, on such short notice. But i'm sure it's long sold-out anyway. Kicking myself in the ass.
@@zzz7zzz9good thing is they will always come back to Vancouver because of the history they have with the city…
@@thedistortionden i sure hope so. I should have been paying closer attention.
@@zzz7zzz9Hi , l just read Your Comment! I Live Niagara Falls Ontario Canada, I DIDN'T KNOW THEY WERE EVEN IN CANADA??? IM SO UPSET!!!😢 I LOOK ALL THE TIME?? I NEVER SEEN?? ANY DATES FOR CANADA??? AT ALL??? SO HOPEFULLY THEY COME BACK TO TORONTO!! OR HAMILTON!!! WOULD BE AWESOME!!! TAKE CARE!! GREAT BAND!!! frm JT Rock ON!🤘🙏
Just saw them in windsor last week , acoustic Edie was amazing
It was great how they stripped that track down to the bare essentials. Ian stepped it up vocally for sure on that track…
Turns out their Satanists. No thank you
I've been doing the same thing for the past year or so. It's way cheaper and easier to get a CD than a record now. Like you, there are still some records I'll buy but I'm very limited on what I'll get now, basically one per paycheck unless I find a cheap cache of good stuff at a store. It's so much easier to pick up a great cross section of music on CD without ruining your wallet. Nice scores, too - The Hip are another of many bands I have not got around to checking out, but a name I've heard a lot over the years.
@@BigBadBurch that’s a great point about vinyl can ruin your wallet! lol Thanks for watching and if you want to check out the Hip start with “Up To Here” and “Road Apples”. Cheers Pal!
That Live Hip cd in detroit! I was there, and the sound on it is truely authentic as it sounded when i was there. One of the best concerts I've ever seen🤟
Thats awesome you were there that night! I hope someday they reissue it and add the full show. Great to hear that it sounds on CD like how you heard it there that night! Thanks for watching and dropping by!
Ian great. Go on ❤️❤️❤️
he sounds pretty fat. almost like Billy Gibbons.
I never left the CD format. 💿 Always buy them..
I’m learning the hard way 😂
Isn't that a Zeppellin riff?
Love the Whalers Cap. I saw them many times in Hartford as a child. Good score on the cd's, too.
Thanks for stopping by and watching. The Whalers I always liked growing up as I wanted to see them kick the Habs ass.lol Once I saw that they had a retro hat I needed to get one.
Great show! I’m also looking into buying The Hip special editions. I think there’s 4 or 5 now. The bonus tracks and live CDs would be great to have The live at the Roxy album released a couple years ago is amazing!
Thanks for watching! Your bang on the Roxy show is amazing as I think it’s there best live show as Gordie is on fire especially on Highway Girl and New Orleans… I have Road Apples and Phantom Power deluxe sets. I’m looking forward to hearing that Up To Here set in November! Thanks again…
I hope vinyl will go down again at some piont when people start doing what you are doing.
@@badfinger20 yeah the prices are ridiculous here. I will still buy vinyl but I will be more picky about it that’s for sure. Thanks for dropping in!
