Love all your dyed fabrics. I think you can never have too much leopard print 😂, the green one is gorgeous. I used to use the plastic tag thingy to baste quilts together. Happy birthday for Saturday

Put some stay tape just inside the stitching line on the pocket edges to stabilise them and stop them bagging out. Love your dyeing results ! Edit - if you don't have stay tape, then a thin strip of woven interfacing cut on the grain ironed along the stitching line will work too.

Try stitching clear elastic to the inside of the pocket using a zigzag stitch and slightly stretching the elastic.

For the gorgeous gold/bronze fabric why not a co-ord set either trousers and top or skirt and top. The leopard print stretch denim which every other blogger I’ve watched raves overt it, think it would be a big mistake to dye it. Best of luck on that one no doubt you will prove me wrong.

What about a coord? You love the idea of a skirt but had the idea of a shirt dress… maybe find a top pattern that would go with the skirt and do both - can wear together or as separates 🤔

Thank you. I have osteo-arthritis in my thumb joints and tendonitis. The past 8 months have been difficult for me to do daily tasks let alone sewing! I have been plugging away at it, though. Will be having surgery soon. I appreciate any tips that can help me (and others) continue to sew. There are some youtube videos on hand yoga that can be helpful. An artist/quilter has some and her name is Heidi Parkes.

Lovely skirt Vicky, I got myself one of the Willcom splints you mentioned in your last vlog. Very impressed with the quality. I feel it gives my thumb and that part of my hand a chance to relax whilst being supported by the splint. Anyway, thank you so much for your advice x

Anyway Mr Googlepants says :- Baby Lock sewing and embroidery machines are made by Brother and are almost identical internally to their Brother counterparts. The main differences are the brand name, accent colors, and under-lid stitch chart. So there you have it for those looking at buying an overlocker.... Take care x

Thank you for the info Vicki, I've ordered the Willcom thumb brace. I use Fiskar Easy Action Softgrip fabric scissors which I find much easier to use than traditional scissors because they are sprung and open automatically 😊

Hi again Vickie, thank you for your hints and tips they're very useful. I have osteoarthritis everywhere had knees and hips replaced also I had decompression for my spondylitis which if I'm totally honest hasn't really helped. I told you last week about my hands. I saw a hand surgeon but all the joints in all the fingers are too fused he did offer me injections and or surgery for my thumbs but like you I don't want to lose sewing time, I sew every day its my 'need' and distraction. I shall look at the splints you mentioned as the ones I have aren't helpful. Thanks again Vickie happy sewing
