    Customers have to agree to store cpni, and you have to have very strict guidelines and policies surrounding storing such data. Handing that information off to a 3rd party company like the one you promoted is a very slippery slope without very explicit customer consent. Hope you haven’t just admitted to selling your customers data without consent!

    One site not talked often is WiX... they are geared more towards the fitness instructor or photographer or online retailer. Not so much the residential service industry. Implementing their online booking calendar and services offered feature is a bit of a challenge, but I've been making it work for over a year. I think it's all about scheduling a job request, whether it from a call or online form. I just need to be able to create an estimate, invoice and collect payment. All the other features like email marketing campaign, coupons, online store, analytics, social media ads, and a few others. As I mentioned before WiX isn't great for this industry, but it gets the job done.

    Thank you for the comparisons. It is difficult to go back and forth between platforms while operating, although it's good to test them out. We have been using Jobber for some time with awesome feedbacks from clients, Vs HCP. HCP seemed attractive because of what is included in the basics. Currently the trial seems alright. The site lags and less ergonomic with navigations. More isn't always the best, seems overly packed. Jobber has awesome navigation and design simplicity, they are on point. That includes mobile and site. For small operations, less is more and most importantly clients pay online, which is on both platforms.

    • @RehashDigital
      @RehashDigital 3 месяца назад

      That's why I'm here! I test the platforms so that you can narrow down which ones fit your needs (feel free to book a free consultation on my site!). My biggest recommendation, regardless of size of business, is to do a quick map of your business process from Lead to Payment. Meaning client entry points, CTAs, conversions, job management, quoting & pricing, invoicing, accounting, and reputation management. The larger your business, the more detailed this should be. Once you have a full list of this from a client perspective, do the same map for your internal team. With both maps, you can start comparing which features in different software are essential, nice to have, and irrelevant. Every business's priorities, situations, and markets are different which is why my clients find my expertise helpful (but definitely doable yourself in house as well).

      I’ve heard of them but haven’t reviewed their platform in depth. There are downsides for free plans since they lock you in from a technical standpoint (sometimes). If you don’t have a budget up front, it might make sense to do your tracking even on basic Google sheets since it’s easier to migrate to a better system once you hit the revenue levels where it makes sense. I am inquiring about your experience or knowledge regarding Mobile Automotive Tech Services. I operate a small mobile automotive service company and have observed that many home service applications often overlook crucial aspects that are specific to the automotive industry. If they do have these features, they tend to be situated within expensive tiers that include features which are not relevant to our needs. Most automotive shop software systems are designed with traditional garages in mind and come equipped with numerous features tailored for brick-and-mortar operations, consequently lacking essential functionalities for a mobile, home service-based automotive business. Thanks for the updated review as this is a very important topic for me at this time. I am currently a solo with one employee. Our renewal is in September and I am currently using Jobber but many of my colleagues use House Call Pro. Here are my 2 cents: Reports: HCP wins, Jobber is missing useful data points Pipelines: In HCP its an add-on vs Jobber at $130+ more a month. Pipeline seems to have a better funneling process. Pricebook: Same as above, in HCP its $40 add-on vs Jobber at $130+ more a month. HCP's layout looks better for dispalying tiers or packages to your clients, than Jobbers especially on a tablet. Intake & Automation: Agree with Neil. Communications: with HCP is available at the very base level, with Jobber you need the $350/mo plan. VOIP & SMS: I don't mind this for now, I use Google Voice for now. Performance Pay: HCP seems more robust. Jobber requires you to be on the $350 plan. Field Function: HCP has a good idea by showing the house and what it looks like, Jobber is just text. It seems Jobber is attempting to play catchup here by adding the map view in the last week or so. Summary: HCP seems to offer more bang for the buck at the moment at a lower cost even if you think the software is slightly subpar. for $170/mo tier you get what you can get on Jobber for $350/mo. I personally like Jobbers look but that's so about it so far.

    • @ohanaclean
      @ohanaclean 5 месяцев назад

      Came back to post something else I noticed. HCP is 2.59% processing fees while Jobber on all plans are 2.7% + 30c so it will cost more in this regard as well especially when you are processing 100k of revenue a year or more it can add up quickly. at 100k you are roughly giving away $210 more from the 30 cent addition as well as $110 more on the % difference. So not only is the $400 plan (per month) more expensive throughout the year, there is a hidden extra cost with processing fees that adds to another $320 or so.

  • @ohanaclean

    Hi Joe, thanks for the great video! I'm currently using Jobber for a carpet cleaning company but most of my colleagues use HCP, do you think there are any redeeming qualities about Jobber as of today that would justify staying with Jobber vs switching over to HCP? It seems HCP has more features that I need at the lower price points.

    • @RehashDigital
      @RehashDigital 5 месяцев назад

      It really depends on what you find lacking about Jobber compared to HCP, and likely not at lower price points because of their pricing model of # of seats (unless you operate the business solo). There might also be other options outside of the 2 depending on your requirements. So to start: what is making you consider moving away from Jobber?

    • @ohanaclean
      @ohanaclean 5 месяцев назад

      @@ohanacleanFor communications (unified texting & calling) I wasn’t overly impressed with HCPs offering. It’s seemed like a 3rd party solution they bolted on unless you need their HCP assist call center. Otherwise, I have yet to see Jobber packages more than $10-20 more than HCP per month since they literally match each others pricing tiers on both headcount and (most) features (calling is extra on HCP). Definitely do a trial with HCP and validate the features & pricing you’re looking for before you commit: housecallpro.partnerlinks.io/home-services otherwise it would be worth checking out Thryv which I think has better marketing and comms features at the expense of a little less personalized field service processes: emp.thryv.com/site/pjfmt6kuu4rwr127/online-scheduling?service=mzy45oskh02z5lhv

What do you think are the specific standout capabilities and features that Jobber has over HCP?

    • @RehashDigital
      @RehashDigital 6 месяцев назад

      I'm actually editing my review video of Jobber right now so stay tuned for that, but in short - Jobber's way of handling data and processes is "in general" more robust. That said, If you've seen HCP and it maps to what your business needs - then flexibility is meaningless since ... you need what you need! I'd be curious what kind of flexibility and capabilities you're missing from Jobber - it feels like you'd be taking a step down since there's very few features in HCP that don't exist in Jobber. You should hit me up for a free consultation, would love to learn about your situation and give you specific feedback.

      Hi @RehashDigital, thank you so much for your response! That's surprising to hear. This is what I've noticed so far as stand out functionality that HCP has vs Jobber - Customizable dashboard reporting and reports; Jobber only provides predetermined reports, and the only way to get more nuanced reporting is to export them all and reprocess the data in another app. - Pipeline view for the lead-to-invoice workflow, customizable and able to filter by tags and more. This is especially relevant to us as we can sort by area, types of service, etc., far more easily and so do things like process and schedule far more efficiently; Jobber only has individual pages for each step with a list view and limited filtering. We actually sent all this data to airtable via zapier so we could more fluidly organize and schedule. - More powerful and flexible request feature where clients can choose from the services in your pricebook, fill in the values (e.g., amount of windows), and have this transfer directly into an estimate you can produce for them; Jobber has an embarassingly simplified form that only transfers the name/address data. We'd probably get greater functionality from a google form and zaps. - Customizable intake form tool where you can create and order the questions to guide your sales/admin through the lead intake, and have the fields they fill out migrate to the client file; Jobber only has the client page view. - More robust client, sub-client, and multi-property organization allowing you to have auto-SMS/email go to one person and the job invoiced to another, as well as the ability to merge client files; Jobber creates duplicate clients through their form and is too simple when it comes to the hierarchy of contacts and clients - it's actually non-existent. - Far more customizable and complex automation for communications with diverse triggers, not to mention the ability to hyperlink; Jobber only has very specific times you can send messages, without any customization besides what the message says, whether it's sent or not, and no hyperlinking. - VoIP, being able to both call and chat in the software not just with your clients but your team, as well as the ability to tie multiple numbers to your main number so you can track the success of marketing campaigns (it auto updates the client file with the source of the lead). You can also embed a chat bubble on your website through which your clients can directly reach you; Jobber only has an SMS ability with your clients and virtually no marketing tracking. - VoIP & SMS recognize if incoming contact is a lead or client and triggers the opening of either the relevant client file or an intake form for quick processing of new requests or leads, removing unnecessary clicks and typing for your admin. - Not just estimates with optional line items like Jobber has, but more complex sales proposals with options for good/better/best packages, including templates; Jobber only has a linear estimate with optional line items. - Service plans to organize more complex maintenance/service schedules, not just weekly/monthly, but annually and with different services at different times; all I saw in Jobber was duplication of the same service. - Built-in capabilities for tech reporting and P4P, which I'm beginning to understand as the future of the home service industry, and necessary for attracting and retaining quality team members, but also having them perform at their best in a way the company profits; Jobber has only labour costs (which HCP also has) - Far greater functionality through the app in the field. I haven't seen much that Jobber has that HCP doesn't have, and HCP has all of these things, for the same price Jobber is charging for its grow plan... The main reason I first signed up for the grow plan was to be able to pay for other apps to fill these gaps, and so HCP is going to save us at least $6-700 a month and give us more. But again, hearing your confidence, I feel like I must be missing some very important things in Jobber, so I'd love to have a chat!

      @@neiljohnson6017 great write up, im in the same boat. A lot of the features i want that HCP has at the middle tier, is only available on the Grow plan on Jobber for double the cost, and still is lacking some features... my contract with Jobber is up in September and I am looking to switch over.

      Curious about Jobber being mentioned as more flexible and capable as well. I have been with Jobber for about a year now and am looking to move because it is just so limiting. I am just starting to look into HCP and have not began working with the software yet but it does seem to have a lot more features than Jobber. The price book and customer intake to me are massive features that Jobber has no answer for. Every time I contact Jobber customer service their answer is basically, sorry Jobber can not do that. I only have insight into 3 of these service softwares. Jobber, Service Titan and now HCP. To me it seems like Jobber is the most basic then HCP and then the most feature packed and by far most expensive is Service Titan. After a demo with Service Titan I noticed a lot of the “wow great features” are on HCP. Curious for feedback and your opinion Joe.

For lead gen/marketing I would recommend booking a demo with Thryv: emp.thryv.com/site/pjfmt6kuu4rwr127/online-scheduling?service=mzy45oskh02z5lhv or do a trial with Jobber: go.getjobber.com/edj8vbnzrgao $50 is nothing compared to the time or business you waste if you pick the platform that isn’t a good fit!

      @@Kas25Housecall Pro and Jobber have very similar price points. If Housecall Pro seems too expensive; it would be worth sticking to manual processes until you build your revenue to where it makes sense to invest in a solution; since it’s more work and cost to move from one solution to another (which is why some software are free).

    I reviewed Service Titan and dismissed them due to the high price and negative reviews. I initially elected to go with Fieldedge as they were less expensive. After a few year's no major improvement were made to the basic platform. However, they increased their price and only offered expensive monthly ad ons. They only respond to you to sell you something. I switched to Fieldpulse. I was up and running in under 2 months, and they offer all the major features of Service Titan at a more attractive price. Support is outstanding. Chris B is my representative who signed me up. I say "IS" because he constantly stays in contact with me, ensuring that I'm still happy. I am completely satisfied with fieldpulse and am convinced they want their product to grow my business.

      @@RehashDigital I am in the Air Conditioning trade. I utilize the price-book feature which enables me to instantly verify inventory with all the dealers I use. In addition to this the "Good Better Best" presentation incorporates all of the tax incentives available, this is huge. I can send my client a comprehensive proposal, verify and secure the equipment all within 2 minutes. This is a game changer. The "on my way" trigger sends a text message to my client with an eta, which can be adjusted by the tech if needed. They have many triggers that are automated. There are many other features. This is a full serviced comprehensive product that is fairly priced. Fieldpulse honestly minimizes my reliance on the back office to reach out and assure clients are kept informed. Check with "Chris Bair" my rep on pricing. I am not compensated in any way for this testimonial. I simply appreciate the product and the great support.
