It aint suprising it happened so many times, because Mercedes had the most dominant car back then and Max was Max, so these three found themselves in the podium many times, while in 2022 Mercedes hasent been able to produce as good car anymore, so thats why even, if Bottas countinued on Mercedes. The trio wouldnt be able to get podiums as easily anymore, because Red Bull had the most dominant car followed by Ferrari and Mclaren ahead of Mercedes with Mercedes sometimes having the fifth fastest car on the grid.

Verstappen is when under pressure a dirty driver, just like Schumi and Senna were. Doesn't mean they aren't amongst the greatest. But unlike a Clark, Fangio, Lauda, Stewart or Hamilton those 3 will always have a reputation tarnished by the underhand nature of some of their wheel to wheel driving.

F1 used to be a niche sport enjoyed by informed, knowledgeable, and intelligent enthusiasts. Since the launch of DTS, and the Liberty Media take over, not only has the sport progressively turned into a gimmicky shadow of its former self, but the quality of those who follow it has massively declined. They're now more like partisan soccer fans than F1 enthusiasts. It comes as no surprise Hill faced a barrage of attack after criticizing Max. That's how these F1 Fanboys behave. Let's be clear, he'd have faced they same type of assault had he criticized Lewis. The mentality of these people have made intelligent F1 online discussion almost impossible. Consequently I've left every single F1 group and page on social media i once followed. Can completely understand why Hill would walk away. Between the terrible circuits, the ridiculous Steward penalties, the horrendously over sized cars, the ridiculous XBox style onscreen graphics, and infighting between the FIA and F1 (although in the 70s and 80s we had the FISA-FOCA wars so... I freely admit internal wars and politics have always been a part of F1) simply put, F1 just isn't the glorious pinnacle of motorsport it used to be.

One, who won in Spa by 5 minutes (!) in monsoon rain with only one hand at the wheel (!) because of gearbox trouble...One, who takes back a complete lap (!) in Monza and back into the lead... One, who took pole on the original 22,8 km Nürburgring track by 9 (!) seconds and more....One who won Indy by 2 whole (!) laps... In 1965 he had the most succesful year of any driver in the history of the sport: He won the F1 World Championship, the Tasman Series with F1 cars, the Indy 500, the British and French F2 Championship, the British Touring car Championship, totally over 50 (!) victories in one season !!!! For eternity and by lightyears unmatched in the sport. That`s just some examples of his mesmeric unique genius...

Lando was pushing the team to pit earlier in a hope to pass Russell, but the team made it clear doing so would dump him back in traffic. So it is not like the decision to pit before the unforeseeable red flag was only coming from the team. Sure, Max benefited from the Red Flag, but remember, he still finished some 20 seconds ahead of the next car, let alone Norris, after racing resumed.

I think he should be very-very happy that they didn't black flag him after starting without green lights on. It caused a very similar situation that killed Bianchi 10 years ago (race cars on a wet track next to marshals working on an other car… But it didn't ring a bell for the stewards.) When I watched it on live I thought the FIA messed up, and accidentally they let them start, then I read that he got away with a fine. Half the fine that you get for swearing if you apologize immediately. Very good example, FIA, if you're rich, then the most basic rules doesn't apply to you, the show must go on, the money should come in. All four cars should have been black flagged, and now they should be judging whether they should be allowed to start at the next GP. Normally, a man shouldn't be allowed to drive a car on the streets, if he crosses the red lights, and now they try to push one to be an F1 world champion… Shame.
