What everyone is missing about Sun is that she was not trying to force Ongsa out, it just happened that way due to the miscommunication that lead to the events at that table. IMO Sun has been more than accommodating to Ongsa's issues. She completely gave her the benefit of the doubt for the Earth thing, which could have been seen as Ongsa being spiteful. She almost automatically chose to believe her intentions weren't nefarious. Then when Ongsa insisted to their friends- and not to Sun, that they all keep the relationship secret for Sun's sake. Sun made it clear that she didn't have to do that and she was okay with everyone knowing, but she also understood if Ongsa wasn't comfortable and agreed to take it slow. She also has consistently tried to boost Ongsa's self esteem- when that is in fact not her job, to be fair. Also, when Sun mentioned wanting to meet Ongsa parents, she never expressed any type of issue with it. All their friends know, both Alpha and Aylin know , and no one ever expressed that it would be a problem, which led to the events at the dinner. How could Sun know that the parents weren't aware if no one ever told her ? Then mom invites her over, ofc she thinks its because the parents want to meet their childs gf. Ppl were so preoccupied with the unintentional outing they were missing the context. She maybe could have pulled back when she saw Ongsa was uncomfortable, but she was at the point of no return emotionally and because she's a person with feelings of her own she wasn't thinking about Ongsa feelings in that moment. And that's okay. It's okay that Ongsa was not ready to come out to her parents, but she should have told Sun that. She kept making it about protecting Sun when it was about her own fear, and again that's okay but you definitely want to inform your gf before the family dinner. Ongsa was always making decisions without all information and making up peoples minds without including them in the thought process, and that's what Sun found as unfair, and she'd be right.

I was thinking the same thing about when she did her report. I believed his statement. Then the stories of him being found on the ground passed out made me sad, but I still believed him. The point is the toxic celebrity obsession of S.Korea to which she seems to have subscribed too leading to adding to the exaggerated paranoia around the incident. And I won't say Boracity "dragged" her or anything. I too feel bad for her since I like her but you cannot deny she contributed the problem by hyping up the controversy and doing what the K.Media expected people to do through their sensationalisation. Jongbum's lawyer and the judge in Hara's case is the most unhinged legal professionals I have ever encountered. Oh well I guess that's to be expected given South Korea's culture regarding victim blaming especially when the victim is a woman. They still live in this Joseon-era mindset where men's wrongdoings can be justified in the eyes of the law. Everyone might see South Korea as modern and flashy and progressive of a country but deep within the society very little has changed in terms of how people think regarding some societal issues. Just look at our beloved KPop lady idols. Was there life really worth being wasted for something in the society to change or have a reformation at the bare minimum? My goodness! I'm from the Philippines and I can see this unravel through social media as well. Halloween on Itaewon is actually a tourist attraction to foreigners and locals as well. It's one festival where everyone can enjoy whichever country you came from. This is another let down from the government. Wow! I'm so surprised that you already have a reaction video on the part 2. Honestly I personally prefer Stephanie's investigative podcast of the case compare to the BBC documentary because it seems like BBC held back a little bit and tried to keep it very professional because afterall they are a media and news company. And to answer you, burning sun opened in February 2018 so its been more or less a year that the scandal blow up in 2019 but even though it opened in 2018, their criminal activities are evident years prior to the opening of burning sun.
