This is a misguided Sufi belief. Mawlid is baseless and sinful and some commit elements of kufr amd shirk. Yes, of course call us Wahabi or whatever you want to call us so long us we follow our religion based on the Qur'an, Sunnah of our nabii (Swalla Llaahu alayhi wa sallam) upon the understanding of the salaf of the ummah. We pray for Allah's guidance upon all those who have deviated from the true path of the Sahaba (Allah be pleased with them all). Wassalaam.

The Problem is, the Prophet in the whole of his صلى الله عليه وسلم life, never informed nor celebrated the Mawlid. So didn't the Sahabah. And they were the best of generation. So celebrating this is a Bid'ah, and every (كلّ) (not بعض) Bid'ah is misguidance as it came in the sources. So do you love the Prophet more than the Sahabah, or are you inventing something on your own? Did the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم reveal the full message of Islam, or not? If you answer correctly then this is a proof against yourself. BaarakAllaahu feekum.

@@PapiQaz you do know there is an app to check back date even it was 1400 years ago? So it eliminates the hassle of trying to align the muslim hijra with the gregorian calendar since hijra has around 355 days while the latter is 365 days.. and thats why the chosen date if you checked back is not on monday while the authentic hadith says the prophet PBUH said he was born on monday. If you are saying you celebrate like the sunnah then there is no problem with it.

@@Md.Kamarussalihin I'll take Prophet SAWs word over the day of his birth than an app. There's months with 29 days and 30 and there's debates every month if the moon sighting was correct, so how you going to account for this with your app over 1400 years. @@PapiQaz you do know right the scholars themselves gave the equivalent date of 12 rabiuawal year of the elephant to masihi? So they concluded it was 29 aug year 570ad. The first case was there was a difference of opinion of the date, some say 8th,12th or 17th rabiuawal.. none of this day falls on monday either... Muslim astronomers tho gave another opinion that the date might have been 12 april 570. Don't follow blindly bro of what you do not know for certain.

People will always take things into excess unfortunately. There is adilah on both the celebration of Mawlid in accordance to acts of 3badah and then there’s excess, similar to the brothers on the other spectrum. For a laymen to simply say Quran and Sunnah, let me ask you a simple question. When you ask yourself what you want for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Do you say let me go to the woods, or the ocean or the fields and decide? You would get lost just trying. The fundamental is simple yes, follow the Quran and Sunnah, but realistically it’s more intricate and complex than simply saying I just follow the Quran and Sunnah and the Salaf

You also mention using the brain Allah gave us, yet I’m sure you yourself are smarter to simply place all celebrators of mawlid in the same basket. I can guarantee you there are many as you claim in Pakistan who would also agree there is excessive acts which are not in accordance with the sunnah nor beneficial 3bidah. Before you say anything, I myself am impartial to celebrating or not celebrating mawlid, because there are giant scholars have supported it who are exponentially more knowledgeable than you, or I or even modern day scholars, and there are also scholars who didn’t celebrate it.

So don’t be the typical arrogant anti mawlider who thinks they are superior in knowledge with 3lm greater than scholars. Have your opinion and keep it to yourself, and keep forming a stronger opinion by asking different schools.

The situation with umar may Allah be pleased with him: The scholars mention that the word “bidah” which he used was according to its linguistic meaning “Lutghatan” and not the legislative “shariee” meaning. If it is as you say then that would mean Umar was praising the blameworthy bidah which the messenger peace and blessing be upon him said was misguidance. Likewise there was a precedent for the action of ubay bin kaab in the action of the messenger of Allah who the people gathered to pray behind during Ramadan. Likewise the actions of many Muslims around the world is not a proof if that was the case then many Muslims around the world worship other than Allah by making dua to other than Allah and other than that which many Muslims around the world do.

@jeffzain1 it does. We Muslims have 2 festivals. Eidul fitr and eidul adha. Now for 4 hundred years, there haven't been a single soul who celebrated the birth of the prophet ﷺ. Not him ﷺ, not the companions, not the Tabieen, nor the followers of the tabieen. Now where do we get our religion from? If we all keep innovating in the name of "as long as it doesnt does not goes against our aqeedah" then we will have to compromise transgressing the Huduud of Allah. Every innovation is a misguidance and every misguidance is in hell fire. Now one won't be punished for not celebrating the Prophet's ﷺ birthday (where did this concept of celebrating birthdays even come from huh?) But one will surely be punished for not following the sunnah of the prophet ﷺ. And the worse punishment is being hated by Allah.
