A recommendation is try to add primary and secondary bevel and i think remove outro music?
I made this video about 6 months ago and I've changed my editing a lot since then. The sword does have a primary bevel and a very slight secondary bevel on it I just blended them when I made the blade so they are very hard to see. Appreciate the advice though
@ no prob the only thing mater for me is the quality of mic , keep going ❤️
I wish that will be your first step in the road of being an expert blacksmith ❤
@@zayedsecond thanks 👍
dude is fast; you want to fight in mma?
Thank you 👍
Are you trying to telegraph your kick?
It's a TKD style feign yes it is meant to be that way
god your work is beautiful, anyone who shows up to a ren fair would make the perfect barbarian
@@GrimDarkHalfOff thank you very much I really appreciate that!
Awesome 👍👍
Thank you 😊
Turned out really cool! Nice work 👍
Thanks 👍👍
Dude rebar is mild steel it cant be hardened your making a bend o matic
You get an a for effort though
@@AustinMooney.aka.mrdeezwelds depends on the grade of rebar and the method of hardening. I was able to get this to harden up to a decent enough degree to where it skates a file and holds it's edge quite well. Rebar varies from piece to piece some of it can be decent enough to make stuff out of and I have done several pieces from rebar that were quite good. It's all about finding the right piece. I've heard this time and time again and it seems to be people think that all rebar is the same as mild rod but it's simply not the case. If you know how to do a spark test and some basic hardening tests you can tell what kind of bar you are working with quite easily
Whoever told you rebar can't be hardened is definitely not a blacksmith. I know many blacksmiths that would completely disagree with that statement
That is a very beautiful looking sword 😮👍
@@mattnobrega6621 thank you very much
Fullering tool? Or with those bevels probably a tool for hot cutting.
@@ForrestBarron corect but it's also awesome for starting tenons
When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail…
@secretlyvegan7960 as a blacksmith everything looks like glowing metal!!!!
HULK SMASH😂
@@RVsbladesnthangs yes indeed
Guillotine tool with butcher dies
@@A.T.Smithscustomcreations 100 💯💪💪💪
It makes your blood grooves
That is correct you can use it for making fullers but it also has many many other functions it's a very utilitarian tool because of the ability to swap the dies
@ yippie
This was truly great to witness and exactly what I wanted to see ~ as much as I "think" some over-explanatory video on how to do these things, honestly your direct video on just getting it done in front of a pretty nice camera angle... just wow, understand so much more now. I see what tools, what parts of the anvil(like the holes for holding other attachments and yet also to use for punching a hole). Gah, very lovely, thank you!! Sharing this forward!
@@Nohbdy_Ahtall glad you enjoyed! Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement 🙏
Thats a crazy little thing
Very cool 😎
Thank you
The fact that this started out as a piece of rebar still boggles my mind.
Awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it
Great content!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome
Thanks 👍👍
Better than me with a compound
@@matthickman3492 thanks 👍 it's fun
That not that bad good work
Wtf?
Hey man would you show how you stretch for bag work?
Honestly I don't stretch i do some warmup rounds before I start going but I will have to make a video on what I do
Nice loop too!!!
@@RVsbladesnthangs thanks 👍👍
I need a flatter too... I need to get it together
Must make flat to be flat
Every pry-bar needs that Hooker Twist!!!
Yes sirreeee

LOL, I missed this video somehow. Hilarious

It is SUPER helpful
Really cool
Thanks 👍
Some people don't understand how much this set-up costs
It's definitely not light. And to throw it around like this is definitely not easy. It took a while for me to be able to send it flying like this
Yuuup😂
@@RVsbladesnthangs not to mention the toilet gun and shower gun and for even get me started on the BBQ gun
Really cool
@@RVsbladesnthangs thanks 👍
I love to see that "Hooker Twist" in it!!!
Always
Ewww you drink Coke straight?
Interesting design. Looks like a cool little ornament
It is a simple design but it works well
This is really cool! Looks like a ton of work but it seems like it's coming along nicely. Great job 👏👏
It definitely is a long project when it comes to making something like this but it is worth it when your finished to look back and see where it started and what it became
@@hookersbladesforge it's crazy to see what you blacksmiths come up with. The fact that you can take a stick of rebar and do that to it is beyond me. Very creative
@@ohno4343 thank you very much
Seems like good practice 👍
@Shires_Arrow for sure 😁
A penny pincher?
A uh... plate denter?
It's used to make symmetrical round shoulders on bar or square stock
Great scavenging. Ive been seeing a lot of those rods around bc snow season. I was thinking about maybe using 3 4 or 5 on a side, mounded with a slight recurve into a stiff wooden handle. way to fill out the pvc core like this tho!
@@SSMFDC thanks 👍 it was a fun idea I got from the backyard Boyer channel he has a ton of bow and crossbow builds. As a bladesmith/blacksmith I figured it would be fun
this really do be a moment containing bruh
Thats the fastest I’ve seen someone do this challenge! Great Job 👏
