Man this fight is incredibly easy with x4 slash and when you realise mime works with omnislash even if your limit break gauge isnt full.

Try putting on hypers on all 4 so your limit gauge goes up faster. When Emerald's eyes light up and attacks, all 3 limits will be maxed out. Im sure if you use all 3, all or most of the eyes will be destroyed. My team is usually Cloud, Tifa, and Yuffie.

I love how big guard is used here lol I can still remember grinding all those enemy skills xd never managed to beat the weapons though got stuck in this stage of the game think I didn't get omnislash from the golden saucer or something

I would have saved on 3 different slots immediately after defeating weapon. 😂 I long for the days of chatting with friends/cousins over strategies for the sheer excitement or sharing the latest gaming mags for hidden "secrets" 😂It was a simpler time. 😢

Knights of the round was the coolest thing ever at 14 years old.

You should challenge yourself as I did as a child to destroy it as early as possible in the game while the timer is still on the corner it's a great fight you'll love it

HP plus, Luck plus, 6 or 7 mastered pink countervattack materias, combine with using a few hero drinks at the start of the fight, and you can put your controller down and kill him with one only one party member. You can use your limit breaks if you want, but its not neccessary.

You're gonna kill it with maxed out characters? Woah. Challenging.

Pair magic counter mastered materia to bahamut zero mastered materia. Pair final attack mastered materia to phoenix mastered materia. Have W-Item materia. Have lots of magic plus mastered materias. W-Summon and Master Summon Materia. Leave some luck. I think it works to Emerald Weapon as well. I used these to defeat Ruby Weapon.

I remember using Emerald adn Ruby Weapon as a Gold Mine, or Gil Mine in this case haha. I use to face them with characters carrying packs of blank All Materias and have them set with Hero Drinks and did the whole Lucky 7 trick and BOOM! Instant countless Master All Materia's for the selling.

Nice one. I have a video posted of my fight with him using only 8 materia each on Cloud Yuffie and Vincent to counter the Aire Tam Storms 1111 damage per equipped materia condition. Love how there are different strategies to dismantle the emerald weapon.

Counter + (Double Cut, slash all, E skill) cannot be combine bro The best combine Counter is Mime. Easy way to beat Emerald weapon and effective at low level - Mininum level Party 50 - Equip 2 or 3 Counter Attack materia per character ( you can get from chocobo racing or around world) - get E.skill White Wind, Big Guard equip for support character - Equip W.Item (from battel square) and stock Hero Drink 12 pcs In battle - cast Slow effect to boss via item or magic (spider web). It will permanent slow - use 4 Hero drink per character - support focus cast Big Guard or White Wind

15x Counter Attack, HP Plus on one character and something that heals and revives everyone on others.

all this for a chocobo... perfection!

I'm not ready to say this is the greatest game ever created, but it's up there. And if you made that claim, you'd have no arguments from me.

I could never beat the Emerald Weapon cuz I never got past the 2x blade and never earned the Knights of the Round summon.

I always found it puzzling that you didn't have to beat the Emerald Weapon to beat the game. I probably never would have beaten the game though. But it was a nice side quest to to accomplish. Like in what game does it take a 20 minute battle to beat the boss?

I remember thinking, what if it walked all of the way to Midgar and stomped on the city?

Dude back in time i beat both weapons by casting "knight of the round table" until she both died so I love seeing the other techniques for the kills
