Your Dad has a good eye, most people film out the window, his added intro provides the size context to help those who never went imagine it. His views of the city are steady and well chosen. Lovely.
This was 1985-1988. Zayre opened in that location in 85 but was changed to Ames in 88. I was 7-8 years old and remember it well. Dover is my hometown; the very best memories there.
I was wondering if we would see the Weeks restaurant traffic circle too. That was changed around this time too.
It's devastating to know the kind of death and destruction that took place at these two buildings years after this was filmed. I think we all wish we could go back to before 9/11 was ever burned into history. The world didn't seem so confusing back then. At least not to those of us who were very young when this all unfolded.
1984?
It’s unimaginable that people ended up having to jump out of the towers after they were hit. The heat and the smoke from the jet fuel were SO bad that jumping was actually the better option. RIP to all the lives lost that day 😊
Finally, a light source with a worse cri than cfl lights
I remember that carpet
Thats sad
look at that air pollution
Looks like that place has been hit hard, anything left?
Definitely plenty to still be found.
Elon musk invented this thing? Cool
no.
From where you get that laser??😅

Great video! I made my Ferrocell from a drainpipe. Works great. ruclips.net/video/cXYQ2qxXu_o/видео.htmlsi=beuRw6eWgOQUtUc7
At the beginning, entering downtown on 16, you see a church. I had to leave my car in the parking lot overnight in April 1978 because we were playing games with Bacardi 151.
Bro has to wear every laser glass at the same time
U V black light 395 HOW much
OMG thank you so much for this
Thanks so many memories
I can't explain whats goin on here
Can I use this as a DEW?
1:00 breaks my heart knowing that people had no choice but to jump from that sort of height :'(
The jumpers faced the most difficult choice. 200 jumpers were buried under the rubble and were not identified.
exactly my thoughts. i feel sick even looking at that view knowing it was the last view many people had before they had to make that choice whether to burn or jump.
I plan to build myself a telescope and this would be an excellent, excellent tool to test lens optic divergence and how variant the color passage&lens polarity will be with such a tunable laser. With this it would come in really handy as a handy testing device.where could I find one to buy for this purpose.
I have a question. If the Twin Towers were still standing today, would the observation deck platform on the South Tower's roof eventually had been closed down? The observation deck platform on the South Tower's roof was only about 300 feet away from the North Tower's antenna. They did not allow visitors to the top of the North Tower because of the antenna there. The thought was they would get too much RF expose if they were that close for too long. If you're in close enough proximity for a certain length of time to that high of wattage of TV/radio signals, it can cause health problems. Apparently, the South Tower was far enough away to safely allow visitors, hence the observation deck there. Back in the 1970s, it was deemed safe to stand on the roof of 2 WTC, but in many videos, you can clearly hear and watch the radio interference. If you look at some videos taken on the observation, you can still hear analogue TV interference in their audio. If the twin towers were built today, I don't believe that they would surely allow anyone on the roof of the South Tower because of those interferences.

I really dont need one but i really want one

Man, i really wish I could have seen the place in it's hayday. I was born six years after the incident, but i hear that there was a mall and a train underneath the building? that's insanely cool
Such a beautiful and nostalgia vid. Thx for posting. Must be nice to see ur parents & urself so young! Dads are the best!
Sorry for this comment being two years late. But they were the most beautiful buildings ever. They were bigger in person. Saw them a year before. I had just turned 15 two days before.

Subbed
Whas that just distilled water with that ferro fluid? I have to make the wd40 ferro fluid mix between the glasslike you made
Another thing you need to try is magnetic field filtered through copper plate. It allows the magnet to effect magnets like 6 feet away. Also a cathode tube is effected by distant magnets. Awesome vid! 👌
Have you built a homopolar generator/motor? They are awesome and still not completely understood and don't act like a normal generator or motor. They make low voltage but massive current, like 1 volt and amps in the tens of thousands
Has anyone tried to see the power generation effects of the repelling magnets? I know the breaking of the flux lines by the wires generates the mots power but I want to try and test this out. You never know, this could unlock crazy power generation
I found it for $350 but that's still too high!
Jared….. are you still a virgin?😆😆
I have zero use for this but why do I want one so badly after just seeing it for 41 seconds?! The price tag is too painful though..
Old, Classic New York
can you imagine just visiting and being on the observation deck when the hit happened?
white one cannot be safely used with any safety glasses

It was closed when the planes hit, but yeah, that wouldn't be good... More lives would be lost.

Where i can buy this laser?
Sanwu
im more interested in the view, what is this magical beautiful scenery im looking at?
The one that curves at 00:39 is cool how it banks left
You capture the same red&white object. Any ideas what those are?
I wasn't even alive when the Twin Towers were in Lower Manhattan. I was born 3 ½ years after they were destroyed
late 80s surely
Pretty awesome thanks
The impossible white laser 😯

The funny thing about why so many people keep staring at the twin towers ever since they were build is knowing how big they were! And too much of a show off to the world lol
@tylermanzi2190 This comment makes no sense
@@JackSmith-kp2vs 🤣 I know
Or a fear knowing something bad is gonna happen!
Thank you so much for showing the world this video. I am from Australia, and didn't visit New York prior to 9-11 2001, and still haven't. Thank you, Jared, for the opportunity to visit and experience the view. The video is both poignant and interesting.
The black dot between the two magnets is earth
Mf'er.. how do you only have 8.8k views? Also, did The Action Lab borrow this idea from you or vice versa? Nvm that, this is super dang cool. Magnets are my favorite things.
