Well...I disagree. We are "North American", not British, not European...American Canadians...look it up. All people from North and South American are Americans. Monarchy is good for "their" pocket , it is about them not the country or it's citizens...Kings ministers and all. No I disagree, I'm 66, my father was a Lieutenant Colonel in the RCAF, more and more near his retirement in 1968, he was referred to as a Lootenant Colonel... Young people today pronounce more and more North American, spell North American...why add extra letters..like "u" to perfectly good words like color, neighbor and traveled. Let's grow up Canada,we are going to be the last Commonwealth country as more and more "leave home". I would have never in my life believed it was possible that some one can die of a tooth infection, in Canada in 2022 😳 vehicle broke down, trapped in the country, in northern Alberta, 20 miles from town. Physically disabled with no support or help. Richest province in the country lol oil country, I worked for all my life. Province says they “don’t have the power to adjust the federal guidelines” but federal blames the power of neglect on the provinces. Both pointing the finger at the other long Enough. People are dying and going hungry being CRIPPLED AND trapped deeper and deeper into the cycle of poverty. It ALWAYS cost more to fix things, when they have been neglected for MANY years. DISABILITY RATES all across the board need to come up to a MIN rate of $2,400 a month for any one to even stay afloat in Canada. THESE ARE DISABLED PEOPLE, WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, AND EXTRA COSTS, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HERE. NOT ABLE BODIES “LAZY PEOPLE”. WHO IS SERIOUSLY THAT IGNORANT TO EVEN THINK THAT, AND CLAIMING TO BE “EDUCATED” WHILE SITTING IN THE HOUSE?? 😳😳😳 cerb proved the min needed for basics, FOR THE ABLE BODIED. $2,400 min is needed for the “protected minority group” of disabled people all across Canada, who have extra meds,sanitary products, transportation costs, dietary needs. 😳 for real. That’s just the way it is. It’s not a pretty or fun life and they DID NOT choose it, and WOULD choose to work if they could, instead.

My emergency financial assistance of $98 a month, went down to $77 a month in Alberta. They say with my cpp-d, I already get the Max amount and they can’t help me with out of pocket dental costs.

So what did they hear, or rather what are they actually implementing after consultations with Autism Bc and BC Ed Access? That is the huge gap in information. What type of support are they going to provide? So many kids in the DL programs are there because brick and mortar systems did so poorly at supporting them that they had to find another way to reach their full potential. PS. You don't have to tear down distributed learning and mess up these happily enrolled kids to offer equitable access to education for everyone.

Thank you Mr. Davies to bringing this into discussion! IDL schools provide a real learning experience closely monitored by a teacher and following BC Ed curriculum. It DOES NOT required my kids to be sitting at a screen all day. Online learning is harmful to childhood development and should never be approved or used. Remember how doctors recommended only 30mins of screen time??? How can governments think it's okay to force our children to sit at a computer all day. And I mean kids, not teens. It is insane that this is the course education is taking. Online learning needs to be stopped or made the last choice.

We get to choose our own curriculum outside of the public schools choices of curriculum. We don't rely 100% on online tools. We have physical books that are Distributed to us. That's why it has been called Distributed and Distance Learning.

Thanks Dan Davies. I appreciate your advocacy over the years and actually caring about the families you serve. You are one of the few politicians in this province that I feel like actually cares about my kids! You don't have to destroy an excellent independent system in order to modernize the public system. In their attempt to make things equal, they are destroying the only access point for equitible quality education for thousands of students with learning disabilities who require tailored learning for their success. Make the public system better. Don't eliminate the only excellent option that exists for thousands of kids simply because it is not fully delivered by the government. This is selfish and cowardly. Thanks again Dan Davies for standing up for the real kids that will be hurt by these changes!

"The North" has never been represented properly. Last election, we closed our business early so everyone in our locale could vote. It was a 30 minute drive to the voting booths. On our drive home, we listened to the news on the election. Before we even reached home, it was announced that the Liberals had won the election and that the NDP were contemplating a no confidence vote. That meant that our area, Fort St John, Fort Nelson, Dawson Creek etc., polls weren't even closed yet and our votes had not even been delivered to the coast for counting and the election was already decided. How is that proper representation ? Plain and simple, "The North" voting block isn't even needed to decide an election.

Did you look at the statistics of 2020? Teen vaping is going down. More teens use alcohol that is more dangerous. Every action against vaping is a assault on public health. Smokers keep on smoking getting sick and die. Vaping is for smokers. A life saving alternative alternative to the deadly cigarettes that is killing 480.000 Americans every year. According to the royal college of physicians uk vaping is at least 95% safer than smoking. On the cancer level 99% safer. Teens try tings. The are curious. Always will be.
