All the prosperity crap always gets the views and comments but talk about people sin and no one wants to get close to it.

A very interesting talk, just now that I find myself having this internal debate myself. In my experience I have come to the same conclusion that the rise of pietism is a reaction to a cyclical problem within Lutheranism. Today I think we see this evidently in the area of confessional Lutheranism, with the resurgence of interest in more devout practices and traditions and a spirituality that embraces the mystical and the internal; like in a search for water to irrigate a dry faith. I live with the conviction that the interest and desire for orthodox teaching does not have to automatically exclude that of a pious life that desires to put into practice, or be the expression of a living and fruitful life in the knowledge of Christ. In the same way, this desire should never lead to discarding the value and importance of sound and well-defined doctrine. Far from being seen as rivals, as mentioned in the video, they should be seen as two components of the same thing.
