Are you bringing the Y along? Doesnt that put you past your tow capacity and eat significantly into your payload? We are selling our Y and flat towing our wrangler becauae the Y (+trailer) is just too heavy for most Rvs (ours might be able to do it, but we need the payload and the idea of a car trailer is not appealing)
We are keeping ours. It puts us really close to capacity with the trailer included. We honestly don’t own enough to add too much of our own weight but we also haven’t decided how to transport. We would love to find a small aluminum tilt trailer to haul it with but we also have considered having it delivered to us. To get to Virginia we just drove separate which worked well but did take longer. Luckily for us we will be in locations for 3 months at a time.

Where can I purchase the screen protector?
This isn’t aimed at you but I never understand the expectation of a full charge at pick-up, no ICE manufacturer gives you a full tank of fuel (very rare they do) regardless of car price.
Carvana gives way less money for your car. You are much better off selling it as a private sale. If you do trade it in with Tesla, I wonder if it works like with a regular trade in at a dealer, where the value of the car is deducted from the total, BEFORE sales tax is calculated. So here in Washington state, it is really like you are getting 10% more than the offer, because you will not have to pay the 10% sales tax on that extra amount of the sale. Also instead of Carvana, I filled out the Instant Offer part of the KBB website and they were $2000 higher in their offer than Carvana was. I did not realize that KBB sends that out to local dealers, so my phone has been ringing constantly with local dealerships wanting to buy the car I will be getting rid of when I take my Model Y delivery in a couple of weeks.
The performance version is better than sex… OK perhaps not.

I got pretty lucky with my Tesla deliveries. Bought my first MY LR in 2021 and it only took about a week to deliver. I also went the Carvana route with selling my old pickup. The buying experience online and through the app was super easy. Just a few texts with a Tesla rep throughout the process and I believe I may have had to talk to someone at the showroom when picking it up. My second MY (purchased for my daughter) was about a month ago. Purchased online on a Sunday and picked up on Wednesday. Super quick. No trade in on that one. Over 2 years they improved even more on the delivery experience. Basically everything done through the Tesla app and barely any texts just a few to confirm the pickup date. They texted me the parking spot my new Tesla was at and I synched with my phone and drove away. Didn't have to talk to anyone through the whole experience and of course didn't need to since I'm already familiar with the car. Main thing I like is that you pick exactly what car you want online. You may need to wait a bit to get it but I would argue when you go through dealerships you rarely ever get the exact car you want unless you custom order. In that case you would wait there as well. I'm glad you enjoy your Tesla!

The Tesla delivery office is the most boring car dealership. One or two employees to serve five to ten buyers. No seating area. No beverages.

The best thing about the Tesla delivery office is that it isn't a dealership. You don't have to talk to any sleazy salesman to pick up your vehicle. In Texas, at least, you just synch your phone to the car and drive away. Everything (paperwork, acceptance) is done through the app. The car is so simple and user friendly it takes no time at all to get used to. By far the best buying experience of any major purchase I've ever made (I've got two of them).

The problem is they don’t staff enough personnel to get the paperwork done and there’s a long line of people showing up on time and waiting around with a few amount of seats and no water, coffee, or drinks like a true office. Worst experience!
@@deplorablechump8758 My experience with dealing with the people in dealerships has been less than ideal and also will typically take you hours, so yes I much prefer to not deal with them. I can't say it's the same in every state, but the Tesla I purchased just a few weeks ago, I did not have to sign any paper work. It was all done through the app. No waiting in the finance office and having salesmen check with their manager. By far the best experience in buying a vehicle. If I wanted to ask questions there were Tesla representatives walking around the lot to answer them. Obviously, if the place you went didn't have enough people then they should work on that. I seriously doubt, though, that it would take any longer than a regular dealership.

I was between LR and Performance and I ordered LR due to more comfortable drive and better range. 5 sec acceleration will make me smile too:) comfort was the key criteria for me during ordering . I am supposed to receive my car in july-august period. Lets See :)
