Nice sailing and anchoring, do you use something like anchor pro or anchor alarm? I can say that it is very useful, also I would definitely recommend a chartplotter, especially when sailing at night in narrow and unknown waters, because navionics can get stuck and you can't notice it at night, thanks for sharing

Your alternator working and charging engine battery, so Add a 12v cut off switch between engine battery and service battery, normally closed and than you can charge both of them if you need or switch each of them in emergency for engine or service.

After a while, all of us, all long-distance sailors, had to become mechanic and electrician, unfortunately it is impossible to make long journeys otherwise. It is impossible to find marine mechanics and electricians everywhere and especially in the middle of the sea, even if you do, there are very few who do their job properly :(. I hope you are safe and fixed all problems now. Good luck.

I hate these kind'a ppl... 3y ago I've just wanted to watch a pro to learn how to make annualy maintenance as I've recently buy the boat and I was new to the engine... Authorized Volvo Penta service in Kusadasi Marina offered 450€ for my D1-30's 1000h maintenance... I've checked the sheet, it was 100€ for workmanship and 350€ for the parts... I saw that I already have exactly every single part they'll gonna use, from oil to coolant, from filters to impellers and o-rings... Then I told "OK.. use my parts then, I don't want them to get old and rusty in the dry locker w'out using.. I can buy them later".... You should see his face 🤣 then I replaced all spares by... maybe 105 or 115€ 😇 BTW I've learned nothing new when I was watching him doin' his things... All I had to do is to buy an 10€ oil transfer pump and now I'm authorized service of my own...
