Also, there is a certain person on this site that seems to be one of Kendrick Lamar's biggest haters. So I wanted to go over what his arguments were, and why he seemingly has such an issue with Kendrick and GNX as a whole. However he meanders, rambles and says nothing of substance for almost an hour. Primarily my issue comes with his complete lack of addressing GNX's actual supposed issues, or of addressing what supposedly makes Kendrick bad. He just rides Drake, and says Kendrick hadn't previously put on LA or used LA style. Which even if that were true is completely irrelevant to the quality of the project. The best revenge stories are one where the main character BECOMES the monster by pursuing the antagonist. I saw the devil is almost a perfect deconstruction and subversion of the genre BECAUSE it shows the main character becoming the tormentor for another family. It also shows how revenge is just a distraction from grief and that after you get your revenge nothing changes, you're just left with the knowledge that you are no better than the people qho hurt you

I haven't personally taken the Oscars seriously in years. I've seen multiple Trans activists and Trans movie reviewers call out how terrible Emilia Perez is, so its strange to see the out of touch Oscars continue parading it around like some triumph. This is one of my favorite Christmas movies. I watch it every year. It is cheezy but hilarious and heartwarming. My favorite characters are Steve Martin and Juliette Lewis with her convict boyfriend 😂 Something is so nostalgic about it🩷

Pulp Fiction is massively overrated. The structure is an elaborate gimmick to disguise how weak the story is. Bruce Willis is horribly miscast in the role of the boxer and his scenes with the French girlfriend just slow the film to a dead stop and drag the pacing down. Jules's decision to leave the life of crime at the end seems more predicated on his own selfish instincts after a near death experience rather than any genuine moral awakening. He doesn't show much remorse for any of the people he kills in the film even after his supposed "moment of clarity" and the culmination of his moral journey is just to let two scummy thieves off the hook and even reward them by allowing them to keep the money they stole from the people in the coffee shop. Vincent's character had a shot at being genuinely interesting and nuanced but instead he just gets cynically killed off in an incredibly dumb scene. It's quite possibly the most vapid and superficial movie ever made.

Reading that comment section actually gave me a headache. It’s baffling how many people seem to think they know everything despite clearly demonstrating a lack of thinking capacity. It’s a big Spielberg movie in a complicated shot with innumerable bells and whistles. Multiple takes have to be done, the food is cold, and Tom has to spit out the food because spit buckets are common on film sets when food is involved. The man talking about this is a PROP MASTER who has worked on ACTUAL MOVIES AND TELEVISION. He has actual credentials and would have some knowledge as to how these things typically done. But these ignorant dolts can’t stop for one second to accept anything other than their bafflingly short-minded perspectives. It’s maddening. And if you think this level of low intellect isn’t a problem for something as inane as a darn movie scene, wait until you see what these people have to say about anything else in the world. There is nothing worse in this world than a fool who can’t or doesn’t recognize he’s a fool.

CORRECTION: He is tryin to move to the Dominican Republic 🧍‍♂️🤦‍♂️, I feel dumb Today discsuses his recent viewing of the fantastic drama romance and musical film In The Heights. The movie is a heartbreaking at times yet more often hopeful exercise in what it means to be human, what it means to suffer, what community is and does for people, and how people band together to overcome everyday obstacles in their lives. The film is both fun, and touching. It sets a beautiful tone of the vibrant New York block, not too dissimilar from Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing. I loved the 90s Nickelodeon Goosebumps show as a kid and the Scholastic book series. Didn't know about this updated series but glad to hear at least the first episode is good. But i agree its weird to hear its not an anthology. I like that the original series had a different cast each episode. Maybe the new crew is trying to save money keeping one cast the entire series or they think it will help the audience connect with the characters more.

After two episodes this is the adult goosebumps that as someone who grew up reading the books now an adult has been waiting for.

Today Rocky discusses the recently released Goosebumps: The Vanishing. David Schwimmer stars as the father from the legendary Stay Out Of the Basement episode, and we have two pretty solid younger actors handling the roles of the kids. The kids are a bit older here, everything is modernized, and the show has been expanded in order to attempt a serialized show (again). I really think that is where the past series with Justin Long really failed though, Goosebumps is truly meant to be an anthology. However, even though I do not tend to like Schwimmer, I actually really enjoyed episode one here. I only have my first impressions, but I am kind excited to continue on and get into more of this show. It definitely ages up the horror, and uses newer technologies to make a really creepy and cool looking show. Let's just hope it doesn't falter. What do you guys think? Do you like this series? Definitely don't listen to the CreepCast version! I just listened to a good portion while searching for the good versions, out of curiosity (been awhile). It's *atrocious!* I don't know how they rack up millions of views. People have low standards. Stick to QR Code (awesome production, and Rob sounds like John Goodman. lol), or the original audio version Dark Somnium (very mesmerizing reading, although the voices are limited due to short cast). This review vid is pretty good. I agree with another comment that leaving things ambiguous and incongruent is oddly better than neatly packaged ... since it's true to cosmic horror's unknowable mysteries. Although, I wish they left the ending up to continuation or simply inconclusive.

It’s an interactive experience. That’s what it should be judged as. Not what it is isn’t. Sure, it’s slow at times but it’s very character driven, art house piece and I for one think it deserves more love despite any flaws it may have. Play this for the experience. Not as a die hard gamer experience.
