This looks like a bargain price but is the 15N.m. rated torque good enough?
Cost a bit more now, I've had it two years battery prices have shot up. It's still running perfect struggles a bit on steep hills but for road legal 250w 36v motor I have got more than expected I've out performed £5000 bikes I seen.
Amazing video! how is it holding up? still going strong? I think 250w is more than enough for commuting around, looks amazing!!
Its great love going out on it brought the fun back into cycling not lost any power and your right 250w is fine only when going up steep hills you need to pedal to help it but most hills it flatens. it Does about 18mph max on power any faster is dangerous in my opinion.
that is a bafang hubmotor kit @ $240 , very different from the bigger black type hub motors ones violamart is now selling. Bafangs are serious motors and last 20K miles or more.
I bought the kit, just waiting for the battery. Do you know what the red button is for.

@@terencemclean2956 Yeah figured that out after I built it. Yes I finished the build, it was really easy to put together. It's breathed new life into my 16 year old bike and me.

It's fantastic well impressed for what it cost still going great not had any problems the battery I got was 15ah so I can cover a decent distance
@terrencemclean How did you find it going back home uphill from the end of the video? Did it make it up the hill on it's own ok? no pedalling? please let me know as I might buy the same set up, regards, Jeff
Hi, I'm 66 and thinking of doing the same thing. I've got the same motor in my watch list, how are you getting on with it and is there anything you've added (apart from the battery) that has improved the riding experience. Also I have to drill extra holes in the frame like you, what fixings did you use, to me they look like some sort of special rivets.

Hi the battery was bought separate its 36v 15.5ah cost £189 I have been on 30 mile ride and used 50% the voilamart motor is fantastic I can get about 18mph on power only the whole kit cost me under £400 and up to now I have been well impressed, I'm 65 and cycling is now enjoyable again. The equivalent spec kit I have seen at over £1500. Have a good search for battery loads out there you don't want to pay more than £200.good luck.

hi dont know if youve gt one but got mine off ebay £186 15.5 ah 36v gone up a bit now still going absolutely love my bike.
