The spider in the Guggenheim has a deep meaning. The author was an old woman who made that sculpture when she was 90 years old and it represents her mother. The author's mother was a seamstress or knitted something like that, like the spider does, and when the author was little they gave them an English teacher who ended up having an affair with the author's father. The mother protected her children so that they did not know anything and thus did not suffer, as the spider does with its eggs and its small babies by wrapping them in a web over its body. That's why the Guggemheim spider has a spider web bag with its babies inside.

In addition to Standard Malay (Johoreans, Selangorians, Kuala Lumpurians and Malaccans speak Standard Malay based on Malaccan-Johorean dialect), the Malaysian Malays also spoke a number of distinct and mutually unintelligible variants (usually called dialects but in linguistic terms it is more like closely related languages) that is; - Kelantanese (part of a wider Kelantan-Patani dialect continuum): around 2 million speakers - Kedahan (which includes Penang and Perlisian varieties): around 3.1 million speakers - Terengganuan: around 1 million speakers - Negeri Sembilanese: around 700,000 speakers - Sarawakian: around 900,000 speakers - Pahangese: at most about 700,000 native speakers (not all Pahang Malays are ethnically Pahangese, some are Terengganuans (mainly as fishermen on the coasts of Pahang), Negeri Sembilanese (in some villages and towns near Negeri Sembilan), Kelantanese (in Merapoh) and Kedahans working in FELDA plantations), this excludes Malaynized communities of Mandailing, Kerinci, Rawa, and Javanese descent. - Perakian: at most around 1 million, although like Pahang, not all Malays in Perak are ethnically Perakian. Those who live in the northernmost parts of Perak are ethnically Patani Malays that speak Reman, those who live in the coastal regions of Perak are dominated by Kedahans, meanwhile in the southernmost regions of Perak such as in Muallim are dominated by Selangor Malays. Not to mention Perak is also home to a large number of Bugis, Banjar, Javanese, Mandailing, Rawa, Kerinci and Talu minorities which have largely been Malaynized. - Reman: at most around 400,000 speakers, it is an offshoot of Kelantan-Patani with strong influences from neighbouring Kedahan and Perakian varieties. - Brunei: possibly around 200,000 speakers in Malaysia - Tiomanese (the smallest group, native to Tioman Island of Pahang and some islands in northeastern Johor): around 2,000 speakers Not all speakers of Malayic languages are classified as Malays, there are several Malayic languages which are not considered Malay such as: - Temuan: spoken by 23,000 people - Jakun: spoken by 30,000 people - Duano': spoken by 4,000 Orang Kuala people. - Seletar: spoken by 1,200 Seletar people - Kanaq: spoken by 250 Kanaq people - Kedayan: spoken by several hundred thousand Kedayans of Sabah and Sarawak Besides those languages, there is also a number of Malay-based creoles and pidgins such as: - Sabah Malay: around 3 million speakers as their first, second or third languages - Baba: spoken by Chinese Peranakan community - Chitty: spoken by Chitty (Tamil Peranakan) community - Cocos: spoken by 4,000 Cocos Malay community that migrated from Cocos (Keeling) Islands to Sabah in the 60s and 70s. - Judeo-Malay: it is unknown if it is a fully fledged language or not, but Penang's Jews used to write Malay in Hebrew characters.

Tirathgarh is my fav too. In india u are not going to find any clean city that is totally clean, they are overly crowded most of them, u may find some places cleaner than others but not the entire cities. It's mostly due to overcrowding cuz there has been a mass migration from the countryside and to the urban India during the 80's and 90's. But wherever in India there're few inhabitants in a certain place, there's extreme beauty. 1440 million and counting.

Hi. I'm Italian. As far as I know (I'm not a specialist, though) all of Italians in Italy understand (standard) Italian, and almost all use it as their first tongue (you might except some people in Trentino-Alto Adige, perhaps), though with local accents, that in any case do not constitute any threat to the comprehension. In the past (decades of) years dialects were more widespread, now they are dying. Which is a pity, indeed. About Italians speaking English, I would not be so optimistic: I don't think 34% of Italians speak it: they might utter some words in English, but not really "speaking" the language. Very good video, thank you. 😀

Thank you for the info! I have been in Italy for some time now and so far I didn't have that much experience when I couldn't understand a person because of the accent, it is more about the speed and me not knowing enough words 😅

It is also land of spirituality, peace. And last but not the least it has unity in diversity. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 I am 19 and I as Indian went to every State of India but still every city to city and village to village are different region, wonderful cultures and Architecture you will get to see, Even in Languages and food also. You have to spent many years to explore whole India. According to the People's Linguistic Survey of India, India has the second highest number of languages (780), after Papua New Guinea (840). Ethnologue lists a lower number of 456. Language families of the Indian subcontinent; Nihali, Kusunda and Thai languages are not shown. As Indian yeah not just state has different languages but in a state different district has different types of speaking from one languages. Like I am from Gujarat who speak Gujarati but in Surati form. at some other cities or district there are same Gujarati but in other form like Standard Gujarati (which includes the varieties spoken in Mumbai and Ahmedabad), Surati, Kathiyawadi, Kharwa, Khakari, Tarimukhi, Kutchi, etc. In little north and west Gujarat we have Sindhi also. And I can speak 1. Hindi, 2. English, 3. Gujarati (4 different types: Standard Gujarati, Surati, Kathiyawadi, Kutchi) 4. Marwadi, 5. Marathi, 6. Punjabi 7. Little bit of Japanese(Learning) 8. Actually Malpensa too is far away from Milan, like Bergamo (which correct pronounce is indeed Bèrgamo and not Bergàmo). They are both 50km from the city center (and Malpensa, which is in Varese province) is much easier to reach due to trains going directly in it. About the dressing "policy", unfortunately now new generations don't have any proper style even in Milan. I see everyday guys going to the university with gym suit, which is a totally lack of respect to the institution itself, and with that I don't mean you need to use a tie, but com'on, at least a chino throusers and a polo with sneakers... You're not on your home sofà! "Terroni" is the Italian equivalent of american "Redneck", so basically people with low culture and dedicated to agricultural activities. Nowadays it's not really anymore a matter of provenance and much more a matter of culture. For instance: marriage with horse carriage, fireworks at 2AM (and who cares of the others that have to go to work the day after), 10mln people invited and a loud party that stands for 2 days are considered "terronate". Or like a Fiat Punto dressed up with aerodynamic wings, neon lights in the undercarriage, obnoxiously loud "tunz tunz" music. Or living in Varese from 30 years and yet using a Neapolitan dialect. Or huge adverts on the street to celebrate the 18th birthday of some random guy... Everything "eccessive" is considered that way now. While a person with good manners, culture, and correct usage of italian official language can't be called "terrone" even if he is from Sicily. PS: I'm from Lombardia and "perù" as the fork is something I've never ever heard. Also "Tut ben?" (all good?) is Emilia Romagna, definitively not Veneto...
