Warriors' 2025 NRL Preview: Is a top 4 finish possible?
4 sure
Yes...the best player not about age!!!! 🇿🇦🇿🇦
Stead "you have to have hard conversations with players but Southee wants to go out on his own terms? WTF?? who is actually running this side???
To me theres no comparison the 2019-2023 SA sides lost a game in both world cups and have a poor record in between also they only beat a 13-14 man AB side for an hour by 1 who was one of our poorer world cup sides
The best NZ sporting interview I have ever seen. Such an incredible contemporary insight to sport, to New Zealand's current dystopia and finding a solution within one's influence to make positive change. Brilliant Grant, a thoroughly beautiful and connecting, not to mention winning outlook on our culture.
Great interview with Jason.
People going on like it's been a bloodbath the difference between the two sides is carse with the ball and pope and brook with the bat apart from that both sides have been ordinary probably also England have had some serious luck at times in the series although shockingly from a kiwi perspective the one area they've been miles behind in is fielding which is so unlike new Zealand but their catching has been abysmal it cost them the first test you can't drop a guy the calibre of Harry brook 5 times in a single innings your basically guaranteeing he scores runs especially the form he's in the other issue for new Zealand has been apart from Williamson a lack of tough top order runs I really worry for them long term when he retires because i only really see Mitchell as test level in that top 7 you can't be 100 for 5 or 6 every first innings and expect to win tests not against the top 3 test nations the pitches have also suited England's style of play down to the ground which is never ideal when as new Zealand your the home team although they were never gonna produce a Bunsen just to negate England's approach although having just come from a sensational win on the subcontinent and knowing England's shortcomings under this management against the turning ball and lowish bounce maybe they could of tried to do something with the pitches overall though I do think England are the fitter younger more talented team with less questions and more answers the defining period of probably 6 or 7 of new Zealand's players careers have probably come and gone it's a side closer to being disbanded rather than achieving more success in my opinion but it has been an exceptional outfit without doubt and one the country should be proud of immensely away wins in England and India in the last 3 years a very underrated side
I'll say it again. I've never watch a woman rugby match. I like my woman to smell nice be famine and be lady like .look at the 7s the woman playing along with the men has make the games to long and the match day experience is too long and boring .so I'll just the men games on tv
Fonua Blake is a year older than Fisher Harris 😂 what is Kemp on about haha
They always struggle to make the top 8 so no surprise there really.
More woke idealogy thats dragging down all western foundations to try see them crumble. “Positive discrimination” is just another buzzword for enforcing discrimination but its ok if its what i say it is BS.
When a NZ Super rugby side starts picking Australians you know they're fucked 🥴
They might be able to win the Bledisloe Cup by 2029. Yeah right!
"Robbed" What a load of KAK!!!
‘Learnings’ should be banned on air. Good luck Rob for the upcoming season, massive boots to fill but if anyone can it’s you.
35% win ratio as a NRL coach, yet speaking like a respected pundit.
This guy was THE worst coach in Warriors history - incompetent and a DEI (Diversity Equity Inclusion) hire due to his Maori ethnicity. Talk about the pot calling the proverbial kettle black - he's a hypocrite putting another coach down; when he couldn't handle criticism himself during his short tenure aa Warriors 'coach'.
I can't believe how bad NZ have been against an average England team
England are by most metrics a top 3 test nation so not really average the WTC table has been skewed by penalty points for over rates and 2 visits to the subcontinent that haven't yielded the positive results we wanted the competition isn't fit for purpose anyway because teams don't play each other home and away over the scheduled cycle which undoubtedly hands certain teams a big advantage that play the other big teams at home for instance England have played a ridiculous amount of cricket in Asia recently compared to say South Africa it's just a very flawed uneven competition a bit like the new champions league football format
Box ticking exercise
It's professional rugby, the most deserving player through performance should play. 34 isn't too old to be a fly half, for example look at Benjamin Urdapilleta at Clermont, aged 38 still doing well.
He can coach Japan after Eddie gets kicked out
The Olympic 7s carrot could be their ticket to attracting talent
Good stuff Marty, I feel like i've been transported back to radio sport in the 90's but those were the good old days so keep it up.
Surely the first thing you do when you are the home team in cricket is prepare a wicket that enables you to pick your best players . Mitch Santner was a star in India and he does not get a start at home because of the wicket. Ajaz Patel is another one
Hey Steve. Wake up. This is not 2011 or 2015
Steve Hansen looks and sound half asleep . His logic as well.
Hey Steve. You're the only man in the world that thinks ABs were robbed in the 23 final 😂
Imagine if the incredibly motivated and connected people like Grant could turn their energy to the massive existential problems our species are facing instead of sailing stupid little boats around for rich people to get their kicks. Come on guys, why not secure a planet first then we can sail our little hearts out. Sailing could actually be a big part of a happy climate/planet future. Priorities have changed and this shouldn't have to be spelt out. Start by being open about the carbon footprint of your carbon marvels, from design and manufacture to shipping all over the world and then the private jets and monster yachts of your spectators and sponsors. Ineos was one. Check what they are about. Times aren't what they were when this cup was started. Please, at least, read the papers and IPCC reports and see how you can change things with your massive monetary power and knowledge. If you leaders don't give a fuck then aren't we all fucked? And well done for winning, genuinely, you have a special thing going. Next regatta have boats built by hand using wood and craftsmen, document/film the designs and construction and how communities are brought together in the making of them (there are some great examples on line of people doing just this). Don't wait till it's too late to say ok, now I'm ready to work with the planet. Make sailing the future. Wind is a power.
Talk about self harm, the ABs will never again be dominators of world rugby. Will remain a top 5 team being there or there about
Aaaah my daily fix of listening to this podcasts while I do my night shift work 👍 👌
It's hard to take this guy seriously. He was an average coach at best
Anything can happen in 5 years.
Let’s go Warriors, Auckland FC, Nix😂
Oh it's a joke alright. Except it's not funny. I say that as a woman!!!
So what is this loser's connection to Burnside and the current CEO. ASK THAT QUESTION??????????????? This loser was not sack, he should been, NSW fired the bum, we employed him...........WHY WHY
Kempy's been there & done it which to me makes what he says so credible & esp liked the last bit re performance staff.. we do so much more travel than the rest, in some cases x4 so our conditioning esp r&r is so crucial. The policy re jumping on the 1st flight out after a game needs a rethink imho, understand the reasons why but hope they're boxing clever & adaptable to needs of certain injury situations. Ktf re Boyd.. imo huge desire & potential & seen enough given the right environment he could be a hidden gem. Top listen 🙏🏼
Cover the laughable NRL new team announcement. What a joke.
no wonder ford pulled the plug ......NZRFU are complete fools
Rugby in NZ is killing itself in so many ways.....
DEI hires never work, look at the Navy.
Another woke policy,pick on merit,
Kempy always calls the truth... he's been in the game for a long time... he's OG
and had the worse record in the clubs history
Stop ya moaning, Marty. We all know it should be 9 women, not just 4. Men stuff everything up. Good on the conservative white blokes who hold all the power for doing this, though. Well done.
Didn't they (the board) learn anything from the sinking? Unbelieveable! I guess we really are the most WOKE Country in the World!
Go back to sleep then
Rugby, like many other things in this country, has become an embarrassment.
But dont they always struggle to be in the top half? Nothing new there
Some valid points around what teams will likely be top 3 and where our players/spine rank, but those ranks go up and down from season to season. It might just be me, but I reckon Kemp has it in for the wahs. It’s not hard to pick the big guns and bag us for predictions. Come on, it’s not about you and your show who he should be accountable to first, Webby is not going to tell you his plan and the names of who he thinks is starting. He’s protecting his strategy as much as his players. I trust Webby, so let’s see what happens. As far as coaches go, Webby has the second highest win rate at 50.9% (P55W28/L26)behind Daniel Anderson 55.4% and ahead of Cleary at 50%, (P154/7W77/L74) …..and Kemp 35.1% (37/13/24)…hmmm…
Left out in the cold for obvious reasons...
quotas are crap, best person for the role should get the job,
