Dean Machine RC

Добавлен 27 июн 2014
This channel focuses on full runs mainly on forest trails and courses in the woods. All the RC’s shown here are my own purchases which are R.C. Trail Trucks,Crawlers,Bashers,Budget R.C. And Premium R.C. My opinion on some of the RC vehicles I drive on this channel may change over time the more I drive and test any one of them! I generally film an entire short run of a RC with no added sound effects or editing and let the viewers hear and see the RC as if they were driving it themselves. In all my recent videos I save comments I make or any talking at all until the end of any RC drive which allows the viewer to hear each RC’s sounds they make during operation uninterrupted. I feel it is important to not only see any of these RC’s in action but also be able to hear what they sound like while being driven. I hope you enjoy this channel and please feel free to ask any question whatsoever about any RC here as I always respond to any viewers comments in a timely manner! RC on friends!

When I was speaking about the Hobbywing 1080 ESC, I said that they were my favorite brushed “MOTORS” but I meant to say the 1080’s are my favorite brushed “ESC’s”. I hope this is read before someone attempts to correct me on this! It was a slip of the tongue (all apologies) I said this mainly because I have been testing several different brushed motors in the past month and speaking my thoughts...

Nice truck 🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
Its alot of fun to drive. Thanks friend! Hope you have an awesome weekend!👍😎☮️
Hope the Plumbing is going good. I just found out my Parts are lost. The seller Noticed and Contacted us. All Ready sent another set out should be here by 14th. Yayyy and if others show up they said i get to keep them. That was Cool. Had to tell you before i forgot LOL
Good they will send another! That happened to me on a 1080esc but they sent another. I wonder where the missing stuff goes??
I picked him up a new watwr heater in my truck and got all the new hoses and fittings. Im waiting for the old water tank to drain as ita taking awile since he has about 25foot for the drain hose to reach a sump hole in his basement. Its draining steady but slow since its gravity doing the work as there is no pressure to speed it along. So gonna let it drain all night! Thanks for hollering! Glad your well and just blows having to wait for shipping but it will get to you sooner or later! Watch the lost shipment pop up at your house! That would be cool!
@deanmachinerc I like to picture it stuck in the edge of a tote or side of a machine. It's probably in some driver thieves home. Lol. Yeah I get both I'll do a give away lol
@@deanmachinerc You are a Great Dude. I feel better knowing there on there way. I miss my Truck.
@ uep i can imagine you do! My RCs (the ones i really like) are like part of me and when they break I miss them and go into instant repair mode and think of what it will take to get them fixed and I don’t sit still until I know I got a plan and have that plan in motion! Only certain trucks are like that for me as when some I dont drive ali the time break, i can shelve them and save them for a later repair. I miss certain ones alot when they are down waiting for repair so Im sure you want to get yours up and running asap! Good to know you have a good seller thar is fixing the missing shipment issue! RC on man!☮️
Because of long winter with alot of snow, cant drive even sport ht when on pours snow ~20cm, im thinking to get small crawler to drive in our garage,or should i just keep modding mn82 and try to make some obstacles on garage, tought 1/14 scale is still little bit too big for inside
Yeah man daggone snow can be fun when it first starts but once it gets to where Its too deep i would go crazy missing RC! Even a high trail with paddle tires wont go if its too deep or wet snow…, crap i would have cabin fever! I would say its a good time to check bearings and grease everything along with all the maintenance but your rig is still fairly new! If you was my neighbor id give you a trx4m or one of my little rigs to drive indoors and crawl a homeade course!
Yeah 1/14 may work inside but is a little big. My smallest is the FMS fcx24’s but even a 1/18 would work. You could make a course for the 1/14 if you have the room.
Yeah modding that cool MN would be fun!
I agree. 1/16 is a Nice scale size. Love this RIG. Looks GOOD> and it Runs so good.
Just so Everyone knows..... You can Hit the Gear on player and Force it to play in HD 4k... devices are set to auto to save Data over your cellular service. Sometimes those Settings bleed over to PC settings. On any device you can change it while you are on WIFI so you get better Video Quality TURN Your phone sideways and ...... ENJOY.
How cool are they pal. See u got back lights on your's nice
You are appreciated friend! I have some light dimming decal sheets that Im going to add to those rear lights to give them less of a led extra bright effect and more like the real ones would look. Such a fun RC sad they are rare now as they stopped producing them recently. Its nice to have since it is so big at 1/6 scale. I seen JJRC(i think thats the correct name of their brand) makes a small cheap but neat version of this but sadly nowhere near this capability and build quality. If you get the chance to check out this channel than I am posting another video with it soon. Stay cool and RC on! 👍😎☮️
I love that body, even not being licensed it still looks so close to scale it’s scary 🤙
I don’t know how many know this but the first version of this body was made onto the 1/12 platform that Element(Team Associated) uses as their now Enduro 1/12 scale RC’s. It was designed by Team Associated’s parent company “Thunder Tiger” RC. The 1/12 body like this was modeled after the truck used in the PUB G video game. It was liscensed by PUB G and sold as the Thunder Tiger brand truck from that game(I forgot the name)Then Team Associated took that same 1/12 body owned by Thunder Tiger and made it into the larger original blue 1/10 scale Trail Walker crawler with the 1.55” wheels. This was the updated version of that blue truck but upgraded with 1.9” wheels for better clearance and this weathered type of paint that was made for us buyers to sand it and give it this look I gave mine. Sorry so long but Its kinda neat that this body was originally designed after the 1/12 Pub G truck. Stay cool! Thanks for the watching and the cool comment too! 👍☮️😎
I agree too that its really scale for not being modeled after a real truck!
I’ve got to agree with this comment as well. For an all original factory designed body , this think looks killer! Love that it has the true driving manors of IFS as well! It’s not just a trail walker it’s a trail runner in my book! Take care dude and thanks for sharing!
@BangForYourBuckRc thank you always my friend! I like this RC more everytime I drive it! I love how the IFS works. Hope you have a great weekend and shout out anytime! 👍😎☮️
Front seems to go nicely over sticks when you go little bit sideways,is that the ifs doing its thing?
Front seems to go nicely over sticks when you go little bit sideways,is that the ifs doing its thing?
Yeah It seems to help push it over stuff on occasion. Im assuming its the center angle of the IFS doing this. I like it.
Whats your think of the ifs?😊
At first I did not think I liked it but It was not the IFS that seemed to be an issue but because I bought the Trailrunner it had 1.55 wheels and very low fenders that those 1.55 would scrub on max articulation. The worst part was the clearance issues i jad while going over brush since it sat lower with those wheels. I soon upgraded to this body and the 1.9” wheels and tires made for this body. It raised it up enough to give me the clearance it needed for trail driving. Then I saw how much I liked the IFS. It has the best steering radius since there is no straight axle and one long steering link to limit the steering, it has improved steering geometry and I love it. At times the sloped angle on the center of the IFS (where a normal differential case is) will help it slide up and over some obstacles on occasion but it is seldom anything hits it. Unlike a normal axle, when stick hit the center of a normal straight axle and locks it up going above it and wedging then i have to stop and pull the jammed sticks out by hand, this angled center i mentioned will force those kind of sticks down and it drives right over them. Its not often but oIt happened once in this video and you can see me crawling over some crooked sticks and the very front pops up real fast and it hops over and then the rear drives forward and pushes the whole truck over the rest of the brush until clear. It looked like a fast wheelie. I like IFS so far for trailing definitely. Great question thank you friend!
I havent drove it i awile. This video is the longest video this year because I couldnt believe It was getting over everything and not getting hung. So I was honestly testing its ability to climb over sticks and brush. It did amazingly better then I expected. It has become a great trail truck. I will be taking it this weekend to a rough trail a few miles away that I got hung up and hit a spot that my Tioga could not get over and Im curious if this can. After driving it today, it made me realize that the IFS might be a huge benifit over brush on trails.
I Like that thing. Looks Great. Licensed Exhaust Hehehe To Cool.
Haheheha A freakin liscensed exhaust just blows my mind. Its silly but also scale and neat so I like it the more i see it.
@@deanmachinerc Yeah it is the coolest thing to license. Really makes it look scale. First thing i put on my Jeep. I try to think of things on real vehicles they miss. License exhaust is cool, Guys have real ones on there wall in the garage. hahaha I want one for my desk now hahaha I really like the patina you did. Looks Great. The thumbnail, i was like what is this the right channel i don't remember this Rig. Of course i don't remember what i ate for dinner last night yhahahahaha

The way the body is mounted is very nice 🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
This mount setup really holds it together nice and tight. Thank you always friend! 👍🤜🤛☮️
Whoa, I didn't know we could silence the esc whine. Thanks for the heads-up on that possibility!
It is possible to silence the ESC whine with some of the hobbywing ESC’s, the ones that have the programming card will let you adjust the settings to make it quieter. It works because the program box setting has several noise cancelling frequency options to choose as each of the four or so choices change the signal pitch of the frequency in order to match the whining sound and it cancels it out! Its the same technology that is used in electronic noise cancelling headphones. Stay awesome and RC on!☮️👍😃
How much runtime do you get on your 2200mah shorty pack with that battery? (how long do you think the runtime would be with the stock motor and that battery?)
It would be about the same as the stock setup as it is pulling almost the same amps. I have yet to run it out but I have used the same lipo charge on two 20 minute runs before. It was pretty low after that but still didn’t trip the low voltage cutoff but surely it wouldn’t have took much longer than that 40 minutes. Since I dont have an exact time I cant answer that with number yet. Its a great question. ☮️👍
I do have a few recent videos on this one and I have upgraded the motor again to another Holmes Hobbies motor but this time I replaced this Crawlmaster sport 13turn 540 with a Crawlmaster sport 8turn 550! If you get a chance to check them out that would be great! Thank you for your time and RC on friend!
@@deanmachinerc Oh wow, 40 minutes is still good enough to not undermine the value of the mod. I was worried you'd only get like 10 minutes of runtime in that arrangement.
These videos deserve way more views! It would be nice if one or more of the major hobby shops would start posting your videos on their product pages; I think some of the other rc youtubers gained a ton of subscribers via that route. (and pretty much all of them fail to show any trailing whatsoever, focusing solely on rock crawling)
Thank you friend! I enjoy trailing the most as I had used RCs in these woods and some nearby trails to help with recovery from spine surgery and it helped me walk normal again.
I wish i had some nearby hobby shops to endorse this channel. Sadly theres none around me unless I drive a few hours.
@@deanmachinerc You might try emailing the major online shops, like Tower, AMain, Horizon, etc, and offer them free use to post your review/demo videos on their product pages, like they do with several other youtubers. Tell them you offer a slightly different style of review (trailing) which would complement the rock crawling vidoes supplied by the other youtubers. Mention that many customers want these trucks for trailing, not just rock crawling, and so you can help give those customers relevant videos that would increase their odds of buying the product. If they use your videos it would drive a huge number of viewers (and potential subscribers) to your channel. I think there's a good chance they'd agree with that reasoning and would want to add your videos to their site to balance and complement their current selection of youtuber demo/review videos.
@@deanmachinerc What a great way to rehab and have fun at the same time.
@ Most definitely! So after my recovery I began filming more and more. I also expanded my collection over the years!
When you moved the placement of the battery up to the side of your Ascent for running without the bed, did that limit the size of battery that fits? All I have are 3s 5000mah 'normal size' packs; would I need to get a smaller battery if I wanted to side load it? Also, does it make the truck lopsided to have a battery on one side? Trying to decide between getting a blue one and running it without the bed, or a red one with the full square bed. I prefer the no-bed option unless it requires a smaller mah battery that significantly affects runtime. p.s. -- I just scrolled through your videos...your collection is amazing!
Thank you for the kind compliment on my collection! I did have to go with a shorty pack lipo when I changed the battery placement from the stock position (also I removed the stock larger battery tray). Since the electronics are on the other side I have not noticed any issues with weight distribution as it drives perfectly level after that mod and with the battery on the one side. Great question! ☮️👍
@@deanmachinerc Thanks for the great reply! It's good to hear that it retains its balance with a side mounted shorty. Even if it didn't, I guess it would be easy enough to strap a little bit more weight onto the side opposite the battery. Now I want to get 3 of them to compare: one stock red, one stock blue, and one bedless modded blue. And an Ascent Fusion. For science :)
@ I absolutely love the Ascent! I had bought the red one then the blue one since I liked both bodies and I knew that taking the bed off the blue one that it would look much different then the red one with the non removable bed. Plus the blue one being a tapered body allowed me to use a wider 2.2 low profile crawler tire. I like the way you think! Hehe Having all versions would be a great experiment and test! I know I have different turn Crawlmaster motors in both the red one and the blue one but both havre a Hobbywing 1080 in them so I can do a proper comparison of the different motors. My third Ascent is tye grey Ascent 18. I have made that one a monster truck and shot a few videos before turning it back to a crawler. I do drive it on a 3s lipo alot! Its stock electronics are the best of all my 18 scalers since it can handle 3s and it becomes an amazing trail crawler with that extra power!
Funny watch you driving on crunchy leaves, while i drive on 4cm snow :D. I ordered 80g per side front brass, and 12mm and 15mm hub extensions to cover the top heaviness, just the expedition rack is 280g and its on top of the truck, but i will go slowly on the upgrades so i will enjoy stock and see how it changes little bit a time,im still using only 2s, And again, well made car this one too🎉
This one has had a full makeover under its hood and it has become a all around fun trail driver! I usually take it to the local park here where there is easy going trails that I cruise it on while walking behind it. Your doing excellent on working with weight distribution! Its so cool to see how much more capable just balancing and adjusting weight is on any trail or crawler! It makes a huge difference! Thanks always friend!👍☮️
I honestly prefer 2s on my High Trail as it seems tailored to that voltage just right.
The only time I ran 3s on my High Trail is when I had the brushless Hobbywing Axe system on it and honestly I prefer the stock setup to that since it drives better now as its geared just right for the brushed motor.
@@deanmachinerc yeah i feel that too,the trigger sensitivy freels realistic on 2s,because when going over something hard obstacle, you need to give more "gas" as in 1:1 , maybe when i next summer get more brass and metal beadlocks(that is ~700g because just 2.2 rims and tires can be 200g each or over, then it may need 3s,but until that i will go with 2s :) i get now-60min with 2200mah gen ace 2s :)
Oh and i did order some metal guards to axle pumpkins, and skid plate to the middle and front that protects the steering stuff :) and it includes rear one but i dont know do i even need that one,if its light then i will put it too :) imagine, the whole 5 item set of metal guards to the bottom was only 10e on aliexpress
No Leaves, it is getting bright in there hehehe. Almost got stuck hahaha I like to think of the Scale of the LOGS you are climbing over is Awesome. Not to many Real Vehicles could do this to scale. Hahahah I am such a CHild hahaha
To scale thick sticks are like trees to something this size! I couldnt imagine a real vehicle driving over something the size of some of the dead branches i drive these RCs over if it was full scale. Honestly one of my reasons of enjoying off road rc is i cant do this kind of driving in my real truck! It would have been totaled or stuck in the mountains somewhere if I drove it like I do RCs! Hehe
@@deanmachinerc Yeah you would be surprised what you can get a Real Truck over hehehehe. Oregon we have Nothing but gravel roads along mountain hills. Between fallen trees and mudd slides some roads will be cut off for 6 months or more. You Build some Beasts. Super Charged V12 Real life Motor, Monster is what they would be. Old Samurai with new Axles, Shocks, Tires and Bead lock wheels super charged. Yeah you would climb over a pile of Timber hehehehe
Im excited man! My Trx4m (1/18 scale) I bought the white Bronco version right when they first came out a few years back (im terrible remembering dates) and ive only filmed it once on the giant rock garden. Well I gave it to my better half and she had me put the high speed gearing on it which made it alot of fun trailing but lost a bit of slow modulation. So I just considered it hers and moved on with my own rigs while she used to go out and drive with me but she lost interest and the bronco has been shelved for a year almost. So she said I should drive it and do what I want with it. Well I just ordered the Injora Fat Viper 2400kv outrunner brushless motor and transmission and the Injora brushless esc for the Bronco! So I did buy the bearing kit for it too! It all should be here Monday! I’m excited to test my first brushless outrunner motor!
@@deanmachinerc Oh Dude. That is So Cool. I can't wait to see it and Hear about it and Watch you drive it. I am very Curious about the brushless setups. Yeah i am about to take the wifes Blue wplc24 out without her. hehehe. Oh you posted ...Off to your video.
@ Ive been wanting one of those outrunner motors for awile. I like how the whole outer can spins. Aparently they have more slow control and extra torque. We will see soon. Have a great time driving the RC’s. I hope you like the extra long new video i uploaded. I really drive a little harder this time!
That thing is a TANK. Goes Over the LEaves like a Real Vehicle. Rock On. OH man Aliexpress has the MN82 Toyota Truck for $36..... And the MN98 1/12 Land rover for $50- $70 with Metal Upgrade parts. Crazy.
Thats good deals at ali Express. The Range Rover is better out the box but both need upgrades. I only spent $10 on the esc for my Range Rover and it is a bit better than my upgraded mn82.
I have heard in alot places now, that red ones mn82 does not have drag brake, but tan ones do,wierd
@ crazy but my tan one didn’t have it so it’s not surprising I guess! Sucks though cause we don’t know for sure which does. I wonder if all the silver ones do now too?
This RC has won me over! Its one of my go to RC’s to drive almost daily and it keeps going! Whats crazy is the atuff its driving over thats hidden under those leaves, its the only MN model I have that will make it over some of it.
Better than your blue landrover ?:)
Alot bigger! This is a full size RC. It costed me $225US. which gives it a clearence atvantage. Its as large as a TRX4 and I actually have the metal window screens for a TRX4 Land Rover D90 which is the same model as this but this is way more scale and the TRX4 is focused more for just crawling. This one also has a full size motor it came stock with a 550 size but I put a Crawlmaster 13turn 540 motor in it for better slow control and also more punch. The $100 blue Range Rover has a 280 size motor in it which for that size rc it is fine. There is no comparison as its like comparing a 24 scale to a 1/12 scale. This one goes with me on the mountain as it can handle the more rough terrain. This is the only scaler RC I have ever taken onto the mountain on my personal trail expeditions. Its pretty rough up there and this one I do tend to be more careful with since there are places it cant hardly go also.
This is the largest MN ever made until recently they made a jeep version that similar to this, needs upgrades to be aweaome. I think this one is the most capable MN model out the box they have made to date. The Jeep is a close second.
I also installed the Hobbywing 1080 in this which allows me to customize 15 different settings with the 1080’s digital program box. The Range Rover is too small to fit a 1080 into.
Dont get me wrong the Blue Range Rover is excellent for its cost but this one is more than double the price of that RRover because its much larger but also great for its cost too.
Well that sounds great! And looks good, you have a good taste and know what setup:s to use :) keep it up man :)
I like that you took it on a trail run with some space between the obstacles so we could see it in action at its higher speeds. It would be fun to see the Ascent and the Ascent Fusion go head-to-head in all ways, including top speed races :) I'm thinking about getting one of these and running it without the bed, like you did. Looks great that way!
I have 3 Ascents and bought them before the Fusion version came out. I would like the fusion edition but Im running out of space with several dozen RC’s filling all my room. Thank you for the cool honest comment! I love the 8t Crawlmaster motor I ended up installing on this one. (I have several videos on my channel with it) I bought two Hobbywing Axe brushless systems but I have not yet bought the fusion combo. They are cool and my favorite is the Fusion pro as its specs are closer to my axe motors. I plan on getting the $70 fusion though as it seems to have great slow speed modulation and an excellent price. Stay cool and RC on friend! ☮️😃👍

Hahahah Except the little spot i got 7.4v too LOL Everyday it is something new with me. Highly intelligent Idiot, i am lucky to be alive hahahah You Rock buddy. Hope that made you laugh.
Ive only been hit once when i had a faulty deans plug that the heat shrink slid on both wires as I was unplugging it. 2s jolt. Dont forget a fully charged 2s lipo puts out 8.4 volts too. Along with a lipos high amp output it can shock the crap outta ya! One crazy “shocking” surprise you got! I have to start putting my big lipo’s on storage mode! What sucks is four of them one being my big 8000mah 2s and three other big 3s all have swollen in the pst few months! So I have begun to put several in storage mode and I guess if i know i need them then I will charge them a few hours ahead of time. This is over $150 worth of lipo’s I will have to discharge then get rid of. Two of them are outside on my metal table far away from anything since they trip the alarm on my charger and I cant even get them hooked up properly to be able to discharge them. I havent decided whether to bust them open and let them burn up as they are sitting outside on that table. Eventually they will bust on their own i assume.
@@deanmachinerc YEah be careful with those. I seen a guy get a Ebike. and then Lost everything cause he kept it inside by the front door. Ugh. Thank God Dad was an Electrician. I know better to play around. I have power strips every where and turn them off when not in use. Yeah only need one cup coffee hahaha after that.
@JamesDirtRC yeah as soon as I see one swell up, it gets discharged and trashed! Its not worth any chances. Honestly I dont like to buy large lipo’s anymore as it seems the bigger they are the more chances of them failing. All the small 2s lipo’s I have work perfectly. If my small ones would go bad at the rate of the big ones then I would just start using lithium ion batteries in my trail trucks but that would mean no more 3s power. I do like the slow control of a 2s lipo and the same for a 7.4v lithium ion. I could get used to the ion batteries if needed. For now Im gonna keep all of the lipo’s on storage mode except for my daily drive ones.
@@deanmachinerc Yeah the little Lipos are from the little guys and the Lithium ones are from WPL and one i made. I got my jeep running and Life just keeps getting in the way. I want to go hit my rocks and woods. then time change didn't help. Hehehe.
@ I cannot get used to the time change and I dont like it!
That thing is Awesome. Looks Great.
With just changing the esc, this one introduced the WPL single gear 370 motor setup to me and showed me its capabilities on 3s. Since this has been so good on 3s it gave me a plan for my C34 and you can see its results since ive made several videos on that one and I am waiting for another same WPL 370 setup to finish shipping to me so I can build up something new. Stay cool friend!☮️👍😎
Where can i get one
You better get one quick since I just found out FMS discontinued making them but Amain hobbies still has some in stock to sell and just a handful of other places. Once they sell out you will never be able to buy a new one again!
That stick didn't even slow it down LOL
That stick completely locked itself up in the frame too! It was big enough to lift the front axle. That surprised me as it happened so fast but no damage and yeah it wanted to keep going stick or not!
@@deanmachinerc Yeah No Damage. IT is the BEAST. What a MOnster. Love it
This Truck Kicks BUTT.... That Servo looks like it could do the rear end wiggle hehehe. All the weight on front and watch it wiggle LOL I Like the Looks of it too.
Honestly this is the best performing servo compared to the dozens of budget friendly servos ive bought over the years for around the same cost. Its a beast compared to all the others! This truck is becoming more capable and alot of fun. My favorite under $200 1/10 scale rig!
I was one of the lucky that picked this up on a close out sale for $200.This Jeep and my axial early bronco now discontinued are my favorites. My special occasion runs with the two.My go to everyday crawler take out with friends is the trx4 bronco 2021.Great vid👍🏼
I love the Axial Bronco too! This MB Scaler is still in stock at Amain and a few other places but its a shame they discontinued them. They are the most capable Willy’s Jeeps Ive seen. Thank you friend! I will have to film some more videos with it as it is a really fun and great machine to film. Stay cool and RC on!☮️👍😎
Forgot to mention that you are right about the stock tires. They surprised me also how they performed.Really good. 👍🏼
@ IKR! I had tried a few different wheels and tires on this (after I made an aluminum bumper that would work while turning the wider tires) but since reinstalling the original bumper and these stock tires, I swear they are more fun to drive on it then the proline tires I last tested on it. Not only are these more scale looking and better looking imho, they perform way better than anyone realizes so they are gonna stay on it for awile if not maybe permanent. Thanks for your thoughts on them as Its nice hearing another opinion from someone who has these wheels to confirm what ive been saying about them!☮️👍😎
Really nice run with this bro! Think it would be an epic match to this Tioga go against the remo honcho truck. What do you think? Hope you are staying well my friend! All the best to you! 🙌👍🏻😁
@@BangForYourBuckRc perfect match yep! They both are even around the same cost! I love the Remo too! I just put a surprisingly nice 35kg Injora brushless servo on my Remo that was $30 and it can handle up to 8.4volt! Its specs beat all my other servo’s I have that costed the same. I made a video a few days back with it set at the lowest 6v setting but today im giving it a voltage boost with the 1080esc. It should give it a 10% to 15% increase in performance and it should be noticeable. Im gonna film it while testing. Good to hear from ya bud! I hope all is well in your neck of the woods!?! Stay awesome!👍☮️😎🤜🤛
Neat rig, not too big not too small.
Yep i agree! I love the newer Element 1/12 scale lineup also that Team Associated came out with in the past year or so thats based off this. Im gonna get one of those someday soon and probably the 1/12 Element Bushido version. Thanks friend! Rc on! ☮️👍
Cool truck, it really is pretty quiet and a nice rig to have in the stable. Tonight I happened look and realized I am way behind on everything, watching my friends videos, posting content, working on my trucks I have let 3D printing come in and almost single-handedly take over my life… I think it’s time for an intervention 🤣🤣😳
OMG hehehehee! Yep I would be putting everything aside for that awesome 3s printer too! I need to invest in one! There are so many scale parts I want to print! They are gonna need to invent a 3d printer addiction recovery center so you can go and get away from all the 3d printing! Lol hahaha
@ yeah I know right, if you plan to get one, do not go with Bambu…. They are great printers, they are the Vanquish of printers, not really budget friendly and not really beginner friendly. Because of horror stories I strayed from Creality as well and got a ANYCUBIC Kobra NEO as my first, very easy to setup and and run, if you go that route I’d recommend starting with their upgraded software Anycubic slicer next. Either way if you need help just holler 🤙
@SCRedneckRC-Tony Thank you so much! I woulnt have known this! When I do get one I will definately not shoot for a Bambu brand as you recommend! If you dont mind, (when its time for me to pull the trigger on one) I will definately get your opinion on the exact one I find! There is so many useful applications I need one for even more than using for RC but my main draw to want to get one is our hobby! Much appreciate you friend! You are really cool and kind! 👍☮️😎
Nice LC80 I think is like 1/14 scale 🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
I just ordered some nice metal axles and metal driveshafts for it. I went to WPL’s website and ordered a single speed transmission with their 370 motor and picked that up also. I really like this LC80 and am looking forward to working on it.
Separated esc and receiver cool is more like a hobby grade 🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
I hope MN continue making the electronics like this setup! Makes it so much better to upgrade! Crossing fingers on this! 👍☮️
Hey you stop this now😂i told my self no more toy grade rc:s when i bought trx4,but now that i see you can change easy and cheap esc in to this one i may want this because of the body,if that would be some other brand, that could be sold as 200e rtr lol... you have done well my friend
Portals,oil shocks,shit that is a hobby grade,not toy😮
@ most definately agree its a hobby grade as is the MN999. Thank you friend you are cool AF!☮️🤜🤛👍
@ I think my biggest draw towards this one is it does everything a big brand does but in a smaller package, super affordable, and the best part is no 2in1 esc/receiver so it only was $10USD to replace the stock esc with a 40a one I found on Amazon. I was as curious about this RC as I was a $10 40amp esc! And I am impressed with this esc as its set up out the box for 2s/3s lipo’s!
Cool, I do the same my friend I take a spare vehicle and the best part is that they are 1/18 scale so only need a small box 🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵
Awesome! It always gets tossed in my bag when I go out driving. Cool you do that too! Never know when I need it as a backup! 👍🤜🤛😃☮️
My favorite thing about this one is its large enough to be able to bring it with me on the mountain i go to (cant use my little 18 scale or 24 scalers there) and it is also large enough to fit the Hobbywing 1080 on it that I use the digital program box on for my favorite option on it which is the different noise cancelling frequencies i can set onto it that allow it to become way more silent. I wish all my esc’s had this option. It cancels out that whine that alot of esc’s make also. With this one it makes it one of the quietest mid to larger scale RC’s i have along with its quiet Reedy 390 motor.
The White Wheels with the Blue body Looks Great.
Its rare that I find the perfect wheel for any certain RC but these seem like they were made just for it. I never found an RC that they fit right on over the past several years of having them until i got this. Thank you always!☮️😃👍
@@deanmachinerc installing the Motor. And painting my Jeep. I tried to make the gears not tight but right there. And it sounds good i think. It's Not real loud Motor either.
Love this Body on this. I really like it. Looks Good Crawling and Trailing along :)
They did some nice work making this body look like a 1970 Range Rover. It is a really great trail rig. A few mods and it can be an awesome crawler im sure of it. I really like these portal axles with the really nice and small diff covers. Its cool to See MN doing new things like this one with all new parts they haven’t used before and seeing them evolve into a more respected RC brand. I really like this one especially for its ease of upgradability. Hell four small screws and I have access to everything. The best is no more 2in1 esc/receiver crap. Thanks man!☮️😄👍
Such a Good Looking Rig. Yeah those Axles ugh. Nice Tires and wheels for that rig. And yea i agree the shocks seem to work perfect. Just enough realistic bounce and not over bouncy. That weight is awesome. This will be a Fun build to watch you do. :)
Thank you for your thought s on it! It wont take alot of work to make it a good little rig! Im ordering the same axles like I put on the Blue C34 WPL.
@@deanmachinerc Oh it is going to be Fun :)
@ just now ordered the axles! Hehe im looking forward to getting them!
Nice 🔵🔵🔵🙂🙂🙂👍👍👍🔵🔵🔵

Pretty cool little Jeep 🤙😊
It is a surprisingly fun small RC. It has just enough torque to make it a decent trail driver. Thanks friend! Always cool to hear from ya!👍☮️😎
This Jeep is Pretty Good for the price. I like the look. Great Detail to it. Those tires work great. I don;t know what to do with myself. Saturday and no Rig to drive. Charge the drone and Torture the Birds outside. hehehe
Yep time to scare the birds! Hah sthis little jeep has some cool scale features. All four doors open along with the rear door too.
@@deanmachinerc It should be a Standard for all Scale RCs hehehe I would love the Doors an Hood an Tail gate open. Ugh I think i am going to make a Half rolled down Window for my Driver side of WPL truck. Wild Bill still hanging out passenger side. Lt. Dan needs his window up a little. Some brown on the scratchs too for rust. Funny i am tired of the jeep all reaady i want to rip the gun off and the metal plates and repaint it Hahahaha I am such a Giant old Child LOL My turn to Ramble
@@JamesDirtRCIt looks cool to have the half window down look. I wish more rc’s had interiors and opening doors/hoods etc. I like when I can find one that can preform well and be scale, which is not common with what we have to choose from.
@@deanmachinerc 2024 we should get Way better Rigs out of box. By now Everyone knows what makes it work well and last. Certain things are fine plastic. They all should be scale, I mean how hard is it to put in a Rear view Mirror Hahahaha "Its how they save money" is a BS lie. Ain't saving money on Plastic body compared to that thin plastic shells. People Phreaking 3d print it at home. Hahahah Wouldn't be hard to make Functioning Doors an Windows. Tail gate i think would be the easiest. LOL thought about cutting mine and making it hinge. Oh don't get me started on the Trucks with 0 depth on the bed. But its painted lilke it is LOL Yeah this Jeep you got is a GOOD one. I like those others too with Different design. OH the WPL C54 i think is the SUV toyota4 runner looking thing. Is that the one you where talking about ? Those are pretty good. Almost got one instead of the Scx24. Oh smithfields got the wpl tank an Metal Tracks, drove it in Mud. Freaking cool. It rubs though. He has the Trailer and all the Military stuff it is Cool his videos.
@JamesDirtRC yeah the c54! Man im hlad you got the scx though as it oit the box is a better preformer for sure, but the wpl can be badass with some mods. I am gonna look for another one of the transmission with 370 motor and counter rotating driveshafts wpl uses on the Suzuki Jimny’s. I got lucky and found the one on ebay someone removed from their Jimny and upgraded it with something else then sold it to me for $12. Honestly its awesome and I left mine on the jimny and added a 1060 esc which made it an awesome machine. That setup on the c54 would be perfect. I have a small 25a injora esc I can use or buy another $10 40a DKKY one. Anyway I agree, these companies can give us more scale features if only they would! And yeah then damn ugly shallow truck beds! If they do that then why not just make it look like a bed cover instead of a 1/4 inch deep bed? Dumb looking. You can tell which rc truck had the shallow or ugly looking non scale beds I have just by looking at the ones I made my on vinyl bed cover for. I dont like shallow truck beds either!
Whoa those tires,i might need something like that on my sport ht for snow,i did look out videos ,by cutting knobs off canyon trails, they performance alot better on snow, they dont fill up with snow if i cut them in right way
A big version of these tires would be cool as hell on the high trail. They are not vented so no need to worry about getting water inside either. I wish I had a larger set! They really have made every smaller scale RC that I have tested them on improve their trailing ability. They dig and demand traction.👍☮️
Yeah ive seen several videos of people cutting their Canyon tires and getting good results. If i was to use them daily on rocks then I would cut mine or like you mentioned driving through snow. Paddle tires on the high trail may be cool in the snow too!
Pretty cool rig, I like the Hobbywing stuff too, but I usually spring for the Fusion SE for $20 more, that gives me waterproofing as I run down at the river 🤙
@@SCRedneckRC-Tony i love the Fusion! I just bought this 1080 on sale for $38. So it was a good deal. I will have to upgrade to the Fusion as it is the best deal overall for a great brushless setup. Thank you!
And heh btw,we had first snow yesterday,it came in 8 hours 9cm, too much for sport high trail 😂 because its wet snow so it packs in front of car and then car drops down to snow,it will take few weeks till it gets cold enough
Wow! It was 73 degrees here in SW Virginia! I still have to mow one more time before winter! Thats crazy to think its snowing where you are but all warm here!
I still believe you have gotten the best trail/crawl rig out the box that money can buy today! The high trail sport is perfect in my honest opinion. I would love to have one. My K10 High Trail is still good though but i would like to be able to have body shell choices that fit but since its a long wheel base RC then there really is not alot if any different body’s that I can make work for it plus the damn special made clip on body mount system also makes it a nightmare to try to change out bodys.
@@deanmachinerc yeah im suprised how well canyon trails go on wet snow, when snow gets colder it will go better,i noticed that i may have to do the tire clip mod to canyon trail for less lugs so they wont fill up with snow so easily, and hey!! I just discovered, that you can buy the clipless system that goes to rc car shell for 20e, and i have seen people adding it to like knight runner body,so they could keep using the clipless system
Even found few videos on youtube to make normal body to clipless system body
yeah the more i use the canyon tires, the more I like them! The K10 i have, im pretty sure its a long wheel base which makes it longer than a stamdard trx 4 or even the high trail sport. I dont think your body will even fit on my chassis since it is extra long.
It trails well even on those thin rims 😊
Yep I am very surprised how good they grab and can get up and over obstacles well.
Heh,its funny how small it looks like, and i know its irl really big, have you ever tried non scale tires to it? How it would ride with some offroad tires ?:)
Yeah if you look back on the channel than I have alot of videos with a white “wagon wheel” style set of Injora deep dish aluminum beadlocks with some awesome Injora All Terrain A/T tread off road tires. I had to make a custom bumper for it since this stock sizes width was an issue for the large and wide sitting deep dish style. Honestly these super scale tires thats on it now reallu work and grip far better than I ever imagined thm to do. I hav don multiple grip test on plywood set at different angles and to my surprise this style tread beat the Injora on several test between 40 and 50 degree slope but only by a small margin and i believe it was partly due to the foams on the Injoras being not as firm as these which allowed these tread to really grip and grab when needed. I still love the injoras as they will still beat these in some other types of test but man I am surprised with the performance of these stock tires. They are a copy of what the real Willys jeeps tire tread pattern have and the design of these has a lot of thought put into them for off road capability. Great question friend and if you get a chance check out some of those videos here on the channel. Stay cool and RC on!
Cool lights man
Thank you! stay cool and RC on friend!☮️👍😎
Is there a way to pull a pinion gear off motor witrh out special tools ? And not destroy it ? lol
All my pinions are placed on there with a 1.5 mm hex drive. The most important two wrenches I ever bought and for only a couple dollars a piece (till they wear out then buy more) they are the 1.5 hex driver and a 2.0 hex driver.
If you have a 1.5 allen wrench that’s the same as a 1.5 hex driver only the hex driver works much faster since its shaped like a screw driver
I would honestly quit working on any of my rc’s if I had no hex drivers(1.5 and 2.0) i would not work on them until those drivers came in from wherever I bought them (my case i buy them from Amazon) costed me $14 for a 3 hex driver set. There are cheaper ones. They usually come in a 1.5,2.0,and a 2.5 set. Those three sizes will pretty much take apart everything on any one of my hobby grade rc’s.
@@deanmachinerc Burned up my Spare Motor. Thought it was my ESC, but i just tested it and Motor. Frustrated both rigs are down. Thinking about modding the bracket to put a 180 motor i have in the Transmission but its so small and half plastic. Think it is time for a break. I might not post or be on for a little while, week or so. Stay Awesome.
@ Brushed Motors are one of the most cheapest parts to replace. They make most brushed motors to be disposable and made to burn up.Its a good thing it wasnt your esc. Ive always wanted a rebuildable motor but the price of those are expensive. They are nice and perform amazing for those guys that compete in rock crawling but I am happy with a $16 Crawlmaster motor. I have burned one of those already too. Its all part of the rc hobby. Last month with my 1/16 RGT land rover, I waited two months for parts to show up for it and when they got here I forgot that stock it had a nickel metal battery and I had used a lipo without switching the plug to lipo battery on the esc so I began to smell burnt electronics and I thought it was the esc since it had went into a thermal shut down and shut off completely. the whole under part of the lexan body smelled so bad of burnt electronics. So i shelved it until last week. I plugged in a proper battery and what the hell the esc was fine but it was the micro servo that burned up. Once i unplugged the servo the esc was working fine. I was relieved since the esc is a special built flysky/Hobbywing esc with all the led controls built in along with the reciever. Well now I bought a micro servo but its too little!?! WTH aparently there is a size servo between standard and micro. I never heard of the term for it so I will call it a small servo? Not micro!? Dumb! The RC is back on the shelf.
I am home watching and replacing the motor on my scx24 :) Thank you :) hehehe

One of the Coolest Scale Rigs out there. And it Gets on over it.
I cant agree more! This thing has completely shocked me. Its basically stock besides changing from a Hobbywing 1060 to a 1080 which doesnt change the drive much. The stock tires are fun to see what they can do, which surprises me all the time. I haven’t used them alot on it and Its fun learning their capability at crawling when I get the chance since the tires are still sorta new to me.Thanks for the cool comment! Stay awesome my friend! 👍😃
