Just been to the new forest and heard and saw a couple flying around at about 10pm at night.

All species of lapwing you may find in captivity and these birds do not have to be ringed. I am a skeptic when it comes to these birds 😞

In german we call it Nacht Schwalbe or Ziegen Melker (goats milker).

I got lucky enough to see one of these rare birds and it may have been this exact one at Hickling Broad in Norfolk in late August 2022.

I check it out every time I drive past the spot. Beautiful sight. At least 6 or 7 times recently.

I went to see this very bird on Sunday. Very strange to be able to see it from the car. It didn't seem phrased by traffic or a couple of oblivious joggers that ran within feet of it. It's still there today (15/02/23) apparently.

We call it Tagkaroo in Bicol Province

My wife & I observed a pair of nutcrackers on 13/12/2022 & we live in stafordshire.. They did appear quite tame & appeared to find food all over the front lawn. We took some pics on our phone camra but not very good pics

The other day I saw a black Swan and their are only 36 breeding pairs in th3 uk

Superb! We have one in the Netherlands for a couple of weeks now, but that bird is always incredible distant. Would love to see one upclose like this bird!

Very nice Alan…! It is hard to get these birds in focus all the time when they go from right to left due to the wind. Nevertheless well done.. do you use manual focus? Cheers Ron😀👍
